Let me just tell you this dude is the real deal! Blasted out my first section in under five hours! First big tattoo for myself. I can't be happier. The shop is super clean and got a great vibe to it. I didn't get a tattoo here, almost did. I don't care for the idea of walk in tats but I wanted something done regardless. And I especially don't care for the idea of being told I'm getting an artist that I'm not actually getting once I arrive. I think getting an appointment somewhere else with the name of your artist and having them see your idea before tattooing is very important. This place just doesn't do that. Like I said, didn't get a tat here but almost did before the exception of the rest of the bs. read more

I had the most wonderful experience here at Ink Disciples!! I wanted to cover up a tattoo I had gotten in Vegas a few years ago with some girlfriends. I was looking for a realistic sunflower to cover it up. After looking at tattoo artists and their work from San Francisco, Sacramento, and even Fresno, Jerry's work stuck out from them all. I did not want something that looked chunky or cartoon-like. Upon my first introduction with Jerry and explaining what I was looking for, he made me extremely comfortable and confident in his abilities to make it happen. When it finally came the day to get my tattoo done, I had the most pleasurable experience. The business itself is very clean and they are attentive to the sterilization of the process! During the process itself, we chatted about many topics to where I felt completely at ease and comfortable. Jerry is a wonderful person, brilliant artist, and I HIGHLY recommend him for anyone looking for a tattoo. Throughout the process, I was impressed with his detailing and color blend. Ink Disciples is my go-to shop in Modesto. Experienced, knowledgeable and great artists. Hygiene is always a top priority and customer comfort and satisfaction is always met. Phillip has done a number of peices for me and every one has been better than envisioned. Jerry and Woode are always putting out great work. I see some negative reviews about scheduling... These artists are sought after and are typically booked months in advance. Anyone who has been in a busy tattoo shop knows that scheduling can sometimes be difficult... deal with it. Showed up at appointment time at 5 and tattoo artist seemed surprised to see me. Was rude and couldn't give me an answer to when I should return. Did tattoo three years ago and it was mediocre. But wanted same tree by same artist so went back. Not ready for appointment time at 5 then returned at 7 and still wasn't ready and super rude to me! Will never return. And hope people read this! Had my first tattoo done by Woodeand he did an amazing job. Very polite and professional. There were 4 of us getting a tribute tattoo and he made us feel very comfortable the entire time. Do not go to Jerry!!! He did some work on me that was pretty low level artistry. I put down $100 deposit which did not go towards the actual tattoo. I was told it was going to take 5 hours, but he only got half done. He scheduled me for another appointment and completely flaked out on me. I left work early for my second appointment and when I got there he was not around. I text him to ask what was going on and he said that he had an errand to run and could not make the appointment. He stated that he knew he had an appointment but made no effort to call or text me. Extremely unprofessional not to call or text and completely flake on someone. Disappointing that I left work, especially since I tipped him 20% on the first appointment. I had to find another artist and have him completely fix the whole tattoo because Jerry did a pretty amateur job. With all the other tattoo parlors in Modesto, I would skip this place. read more

The shop is super clean and everybody is really nice! I got my (first!) tattoo done by Whit and he did a great job! The atmosphere inside the shop is super chill and all of the artists are amazing. They clean thoroughly before and after every customer and are sure to use a clean pair of gloves when dealing with equipment and tattooing. I did have to wait a bit before getting my tattoo but I didn't mind at all, tattooing is an art and requires patience and time and sometimes they take longer than expected. I am definitely coming back to Ink Disciples in the future! read more

This is the worst tatoo experience I have ever had. The owner Jerry does not know what he is doing he charged me 80 for an outline of a tatoo he took like 15 minutes on it and when it was done the lines were all janky and looked like a prison tatoo. I would recommend going to wolf street tatoo instead much better tatoo artists. Kso tatoo is also garbage dont go to him as well. His work looks like a little kids drawing. Over all garbage. If you want to pay for something you will regret go here! read more
