Got trolled so hard here…read more Called in to ask if they do walk ins and the price for ear piercings and gave the price $70 for piercings and studs and said walk ins are available so we agreed. Came in and I asked questions since I never got a piercing and didn't know the procedure but neither the receptionist nor piercer wasn't feeling it that day. Maybe I just caught them in a bad day but either way got my ears pierced quickly. However when I went to pay with my Apple Pay they said cash only AFTER I got my ears pierced and they never said anything on the phone. I asked if I can pay by credit card or Apple way and they pointed at an ATM that I couldn't withdraw money from (since I had no debit card). So since I only had a credit card and apply pay, I had to give up my drivers license and waste about an hour walking around to and back to a gas station that didn't do cash backs and Walgreens a mile away that I had to purchase twice and had a limit of $40 for cash. So after I walked all the way back in the Modesto summer in dress shoes (since I came from an interview) I asked them how should I pay the difference and showed me I can pay with... ...Venmo. ...and yeah, they just made me walk an hour in the blistering heat when I could've just venmoed them the whole time. It's a shame since the place was pretty cool and had a nice vibe to it. I debated on giving them like 2 or 3 stars cause they pierced my ears well but man walking in that Modesto heat for 1 hour in dress shoes to get cash I wasn't informed or needed was not the best experience. So yeah... TLDR: bring cash.

She then goes on to quit the born to lose shop and never provided a refund. I called this shop and all they said was "oh she doesn't work here anymore, that sucks dude" so lesson learned to always do walk ins and NEVER trust anyone with a deposit, even if you've had a tattoo done by them. Only use cash at sketchy shops like this one!!! This lady is currently posting that she tattoos out of anywhere between Stockton and San Diego!!!! Unfortunately, I did everything wrong that day prior to arriving to my appointment. I can only hope I didn't scare the hell out of Mike and Chandler and the rest of the crew there. I got up early and took my pre-workout and had a long exercise session prior, something I do daily without thinking, and that is a No No. My body couldnt handle that kind of pain while in complete recovery mode. I did what any stubborn person would do and Ignored my body signals of sweats and ear ringing and then it happened....out like a light. I asked for surgical steel (what I wear in my ears), and he suggested that titanium is a better choice and slightly safer than surgical steel (not that the latter is bad, just that titanium is a smidge better). I trusted him, since he has been doing this for longer than I've been alive! We went back, I laid in the chair for him to help me take out my (seamless) hoops from my nose, and insert the new jewelry. It was a very comfortable and quick experience! Thank you for helping me!
