Super random stop in while a friend and I were in Modesto over the weekend. We had time to kill before our Saturday night plans and I looked on Yelp to find a place to buy piece of jewelry for my tragus piercing that had fallen out and was lost. I had also been wanting to get my rook pierced for a while down in SJ where im from but never got around to it. Yelpers led us to Mystical Body and when we pulled up you can just tell by the outside how clean and organized this place was. Well lit, spacious and luckily for me.. we were the only ones there. Rob greeted us and helped me pick the jewelry I needed for my ear and listened to me contemplate for a while about whether or not I should go through with the other piercing I wanted. Im sure my back and forth was a little irritating - but Im also sure he was well entertained just by the fact we were there. Anyway.. I finally decided to go through with my piercing and he also put in my tragus hoop for me too. I loooooooove my piercing and I love both pieces of jewelry I got too. Rob was fun, and professional. He was informative, patient and knowledgeable. He did his thing and we went on our way. They don't offer other services like some shops do (smoke/tatoo/piercings/clothing/etc). Strictly piercings, and they do it well. Their prices are a bit higher than the other type of shops ($5-10 more), but its well worth it for quality products and good service. Walk ins are accepted which is a plus because my toddler is not the most cooperative when it comes to scheduling appointments. Place is super clean, well lit, and ventilated. Went here to get my bridge pierced after doing some research at different piercing shops (I've visited 4 different piercing shops in my body modification endeavors- I'm 23) I decided to come here because they had been along for SO LONG as a piercing only shop they had to be good at what they do! Also stood out to me that the owner mentions this is his FULL TIME job and seems truly dedicated to his trade! He was cool & kind did not make me feel weird as female, and even when I was being a wimp was reasonable. He also made sure the piercing looked exactly the way I would want it to before breaking any needles out. I got a bridge piercing which can be pretty serious if it's crooked or you don't like the placement but we spent about 20 minutes making sure it would straight & to my liking ya-da! I went here with my sister and mom for the first time and Rob was incredibly funny and made the whole experience so fun and comfortable for us. You can tell right off the bat Rob loves what he does and he's insanely good at it. He gives good aftercare instructions, so easy to understand, even for my mom who is primarily a Spanish speaker. He was fast and efficient while piercing us and overall the jewelry itself is so pretty and definitely all high end material. His store is extremely tidy and he makes sure everything is clean before piercing. I went back to get my tongue pierced as-well and the service was all the same, top notch! he also made sure that my tongues anatomy was correct for a piercing beforehand, Which just goes to show he cares for the safety of everyone and he most likely would have not gone through with the piercing had it been dangerous to me. I recently came here for a Monroe piercing. It was my second time visiting this place. My first time was quite a few years ago for a surface piercing and I wasnt into Yelp at the time, so I will just say the experience I had the first time was similar to this second time. Both times I was pierced by the owner, Rob. He is very kind and professional. One thing that stood out is his recommendation to get my piercing in a slightly different location (higher) than where I had asked for it. He had a couple reasons for this, but the main one being for protection from damage to my teeth. This was something that hasn't crossed my mind before...so I was happy he brought it to my attention. I strongly considered what he told me, but in the end I still choose to get the placement where I wanted. He respected my decision and pierced me where I wanted. This location is extremely clean and he sanitized right in front of me after his last customer. He made me feel very comfortable before, during, and after the whole experience. His selection of jewelery is pretty decent and I had a fair amount to choose from for this particular piercing. If I could change anything, it would only be to lower the prices a tad. I paid $70 for the piercing, decided to pay an extra $5 for a piece of jewelry with a gem in it, and a little tip. Don't take it as a complaint about prices, because I get what I pay for in terms of everything, but just something I would change if I could. Overall would definitely recommend this place. read more

This is the slowest most unprofessional shop I've seen. It's been a good freaking hour I've been sitting here waiting for this bald guy who may be the owner to get his act together. There are currently 8 people in this shop and he's uncommunicative and not dealing with customers in appropriate order. He's putzing around, and is absolutely losing business. I watched two people walk out, and I certainly won't buy any jewelry here. He's currently got my friend and I hostage though, because she already paid for her piercing but hasn't yet gotten it. So now we wait while he putzes. Good lord, man, if you're the owner, hire a fricking desk person so we don't all feel abandoned up front. Totally not worth the hype. Update: my friend's lip piercing that the owner did is off center and infected. The balls he put on her bridge bar and her cheek piercing (that she already had) are ENORMOUS and look ridiculous on her face. She cried the whole way home and tore them out once there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME Or MONEY HERE. And don't let this amateur fool touch your body with anything sharp!!! read more

After having no problems with the piercing I came back to get my second cartilage, tragus, belly button, & just got my nose done yesterday.
