I had a great experience during my annual eye exam yesterday. Dr. Young, technician Nancy, and eyewear consultant Jessie were all exceptional. I'd also like to thank the front desk staff member who checked patients in for being so welcoming. Thank you all for your professionalism, kindness, and excellent care. You made my visit a positive experience. read more

The employees and the eye doctors are very helpful and friendly with great communication and advice. They provide appropriate subscriptions and they know what works best for me. They also understand my feelings and what things works for me. read more

Terrible experience . Staff is not professional and definitely not friendly; including Cindy and office mgr Erik Sisk. The only reason I give the 1 star is the experience with dr went well. They refused to call my insurance company, told me I had zero coverage, which is not correct. Didn't call me back, refused to give me PD numbers. If you don't purchase their glasses they turn into RX nazi's and refuse to help. Erik and Cindy need to work in a job without customer involvement. Very rude and not helpful. read more

No, the lady at the front was very rude. She goes to tell me that they change their policies and how late they can accept a patient. Mind you I was unaware of any new policies for the new year. no email no letter or no text message. she told me that the company does not tell their clients about new policies it's just something they just start. So therefore I have to reschedule my appointment because I was almost about 10 minutes late. I explained to her my situation that I need to be seen as soon as possible and she's still didn't care. I'd rather drive a little further to get better quality service and care. If you don't like surprises I recommend them to go somewhere else. read more

This office is absolutely the worst! Everything inside is outdated by at least 20 years, but that's the least of the issues. The front office lady is so so so rude and incompetent. They overcharged us by almost a $100. My husband gave them his credit card but when he noticed the bill was too high he told them not to charge it. He wanted an explanation as to why it was so high. About 20 minutes later they called my personal cell number, even though I was not the patient (probably a HIPA violation) and asked if I was his granddaughter. Then proceeded to say "oh the bill is right so we charged your card." The explanation was they charge twice as much to people with an astigmatism something we've never encountered before. The only way they could have charged our card is if they had copied down the number and saved it for later or if they went ahead and charged it anyway even though my husband said that's too much have your boss call us to explain. Either way is unethical if not illegal. Finally the other old lady who sizes glasses is crazy slow. When I was there it took her almost 20 minutes just to find the prescription the doctor had just done. My appointment took almost two hours at point so I just wanted to leave and order what I needed from someplace on line to save time. It is a shame because the doctor would be fine but her whole office ruins it. read more

Wish I would've read reviews before scheduling. Although I was running late for my appt, I was told I still had a 15 minute window. I arrived and was inside by 3:33pm and waited for a patient ahead of me taking her sweet time examining her new frames at the counter to finish. At approximately 3:38 I was at the counter and told that I had been marked as a 'no show'. I'm annoyed because I did arrive within the window, was forced to wait and then turned away for being outside of the window. I will find another place to go to. read more

Very patient and professional, everyone treated me with respect and had a polite attitude.

Needs more modern frames but other than that this place does exceptional work whether you need glasses or contacts.

I visited this office this morning and I seen Dr. Wynn (spell check). She was rude and was rushing as if she didn't want to be there. I wasn't impressed at all. It's been sometime since I've been to the ophthalmologist and I thought this place would be good but I was wrong. My time is precious just like anyone else's so I didn't understand what the rush was for it was almost like she was bothered to be there. When it was time to check out she was even more cold asking for my insurance card and didn't even say anything after that. I guess where I come from I'm use to people being kind and have some type of great attitude working with patients. I initially booked with Dr. Nguyen-Marynell but I guess she's no longer there. The gentleman at the first desk had good customer service but other than that it was one of my worst experiences. read more

We had a wonderful experience at MyEyeDr in Rock Hill, SC. The appointment took a little longer than expected, but I was happy that they spent extra time with my daughter and didn't seem rushed!! The staff was excellent, from the front desk, all the way through. The lady that helped pick out glasses was very patient with my daughter and got us a discount that I wasn't even expecting!!! We haven't received our glasses yet (our appointment was just yesterday), but as long as that process goes smoothly as well, I will continue to use MyEyeDr!! read more

Visited the Rock Hill office for a recheck after a horrible experience in Fort Mill location a few months ago. I saw Dr Blackwell and the experience was horrible. He was extremely rude & unprofessional. I could not believe how this man was handling my situation. Not sure if he was mad that I'd complained about his colleague or that I was seeing him for a visit where there was no monetary gain. Nonetheless this man was not happy to see me, a patient, and he didn't hide it. It wasn't anything difficult- a contact lens recheck. I will NEVER visit this chain again.... Definitely will tell my story every chance I get to share it. I gave 1 star but they didn't deserve that. read more

Took them over a month to get the glasses correct. After they had to send them Back the 2nd time they stopped the customer service all together. I had to call corporate to get answers. They are quick to tell you that you need glasses, just not quick to get them correct for you. Was very disappointed read more

The doctor was really knowledgeable and gave me a full check up. I went in after having a serious sinus infection that actually messed up my vision. He decided it was making it so bad because I had already had a vision problem. Okay, anything to not have a splitting migraine and want to throw up. Now a week later, glasses were bought and PAID for. Still have headaches still get the upset stomach. I was told that my glasses that I had to pay further out of pocket for (on top of my insurance woah first warning sign) would be ready Tuesday. I called Tuesday and was told oh no, they won't be ready till Thursday. I politely pointed on that I cannot see! I have headache and have to rely on my husband for everything! She called "their lab" and said they may be in Wednesday Or Thursday. I knew then I was waiting a week to get my glasses. Why? Other places can have your glasses in an hour?? Well, it is Thursday. No call, no text, no glasses. Color me shocked. I however will be going to that dr's office getting a copy of my eye Rx and a refund! So go see the Dr, but that your eye Rx somewhere else. Glasses are stupid expensive, it takes forever to get your glasses if you get them at all, and honestly other places my insurance would have covered frames at 100%. This place made sure they got some money. They "had a deal that select glasses were $79 but only for uninsured" wait? What so if I pick from that wall I have to pay full price because I have instance? All in all doctor was kind, informed, amazing the stars are for him. His nurse staff also great. This fleecing people in a major bind not cool. Making me wait over a week to see, criminal! read more

Too bad that I cannot post a negative star as this company has terrible follow-up service. The doctors and staff were very friendly which is why I gave them one star. I have owned several businesses and customer service and follow-up is paramount. I always kept my customers in the loop. I had to constantly touch base with them to find out the whereabouts of my order. On a side note, my PCP also heard negative things about this care provider and I have to agree wholeheartedly. My suggestion; avoid this business at all cost! Over priced, poor service and the inability to get one in and out in a timely fashion all add up to a -25 in my book. Even though Medicare paid for part of the contacts, I feel as if I paid for the bulk of the exam and product. If you are using Medicare, check elsewhere. You may get a better price and service at another provider. read more

Cindy (at the Rock Hill location) who fits you for your glasses, is so offensive. I always have bad encounters with her no matter if coming to pick up glasses, get fitted for them, or to have them fixed. She seems discriminatory towards certain people honestly. I'm white btw, and so is she. People discriminate for many reason. Some do so for what they think based on who you're with, or the kind of insurance you have (for example). She's not helpful and acts like she doesn't want to be bothered. At least that's been my experience with her. She is that way each time I've came in there. She will deny certain courteous common things that are generally offered. Trying on glasses? Well don't expect her to be patient to let you take time to pick what you like. Don't expect her to even understand you might want to see how the glasses look on you in a mirror! She'll make offhanded remarks if you have to pick glasses from the "box" that certain insurance carriers are limited to. I feel she's not this way with others. I'm sure she's great...as long as you are of the right "demographic"! She whispers about patients (yep I've heard ya)! Doesn't matter if it's me or my son she's assisting, she is just not pleasant. It's hurtful and offensive! Some people just go out of their way to make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The optometrists are not the best either. I always feel rushed and not happy with the service. I grew up going to Oliver Eye Associates, and they are the best in Rock Hill, SC! I was taking my son to Oliver too, but they don't take our current insurance. We had to change insurance because government said so. Wasn't our choice! Not everyone fits the stereotype that some have set in their mind. If a person's heart is full of hate, then it's all that will come out of them. Since switching to My Eye Dr, I've been so unhappy. I've been forgiving of the bad service and dealing with it for a while. Cindy was too much this last time. I feel sorry for people like that. Don't know how people can sleep at night being so mean to people for no reason. I've decided to change eye doctors. Glad I've found another eye doctor. Just in case Cindy sees this, I want you to know I'm genuinely praying for you. Your attitude towards me and my son was unkind and uncalled for. Jesus call me to forgive, so I will. Forgiveness doesn't mean you should get away with wrongdoing by not being held accountable. Maybe a negative review will help you somehow. Not sure what has you being so unkind to people, but I'm sincerely praying Jesus comes into your heart read more

Doctor and staff were were friendly and knowledgeable. Angela was enthusiastic and very helpful from helping me pick the right frames to making sure my prescription was complete. She made difficult decisions easy for me. I love my new frames and I love my transition lenses. I love my prescription I can see again! I had them make new lenses for my sunglasses and they turned out great too. read more

Excellent staff. This was my first visit after moving from my old location. I was greeted promptly, given an thorough, well explained exam, and felt like my time was as valuable to the staff as it is to me! I look forward to visiting again! read more

Great customer service and friendly staff. Would give five stars but pricing was not clear on contact lenses being a separate fee

This is my first time going to the eye doctor in Rock Hill. Unfortunately, the experience was not the best. His staff was great. However, he was quite condescending and didn't seem to have time to discuss my concerns with me. I saw him twice. Once for the initial eye exam and once for the contact lens follow up. Both times I couldn't wait to get out. I won't be seeing Blackwell Eye Associates for my annual eye screening next year. read more

They are very friendly and were able to get me into an appointment that week. When I had issues with my trail contacts, they rechecked my eyes and switched out the brand, no problem! read more

Worst customer service in optical dept. manager also not respond properly. I won't go again.

For the most part the staff was very friendly and honest. The only issue I had was the Doctor that did my exam seemed like he was in a hurry and did'nt take the time. read more

An eye practice that you can trust. They have a wonderful range of eyewear choices to choose from. They have a friendly & honest staff that is easy to talk to without feeling pressured into buying $1200 worth of glasses. Definitely recommend for anyone read more

Could not see out of my glasses after $700. They remade them 3 times and they never got them right. I went back to my previous doctor and paid out of pocket for another exam and glasses and I can see again!! read more

Waited over an hour to see the doctor. However the staff was amazing and the doctor was very personable. I'm definitely going back.

Professional and trustworthy practice. I was able to get an appointment within a week of calling to make one and once I arrived I was promptly seen. The staff and Doctor was friendly courteous and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I will definitely be seeing them again in the future. read more

My first time here! The doctor was professional. The employees in the eyeglass area were very helpful in my selection of eyewear. When I received my glasses they fit perfect. I will definitely be back and recommend highly! My insurance plan is VSP which they accept. read more

This was my first eye appointment in 4 years. I chose MyEyeDr since they were recommended by my insurance company. I was extremely impressed with the entire experience. The staff was both knowledgeable and professional. There were no hidden fees and everything was explained in detail. Prior to my appointment, I was able to complete all my paperwork online and all I had to do when I got there was verify the information and sign. Everything was printed and waiting for me when I arrived. They also send you text messages when your glasses/contacts are ready for pick up. Modern, convenient, and seamless. It doesn't get any better then that. Well, it could be better if they offered evening/weekend appointments. Either way, I will be making this my eye doctor for as long as I am in the area. I highly recommend MyEyeDr in Rock Hill. read more

I went to MyEyeDr in Rock Hill for my annual exam this year, and this was by far my worst experience at an eye appointment to date. Let me start by saying that the young lady at the front desk was very sweet and welcoming and Dr. Blackwell and his assistant (forgot her name) were good too. There was a woman in the glasses fitting area named Cindy that was useless. For whatever reason, it was clear to me that she did not want to help me. Instead of explaining the options that were available to me she opted to wait for the other gentleman working with her (who was a joy and his name was Bob) to finish with another customer. I did take the time to remind her that this was her job and she continued to make excuses (she didn't have all of my information and her computer was slow etc.). After dealing with Cindy for a few minutes I decided that I was ready to check out and leave so that I did not have to put up with her nasty attitude anymore. I was upset with myself that I allowed Cindy to cause me to lose my cool, so I called back and sent my apologies to anyone else in the office that may have felt my wrath. I will go back to assess the fit of my contacts and get my prescription, but this is most definitely my first and last year doing business with this office. Maybe this review will cause Cindy to change here approach to customers or be more mindful of the impact that her actions have on others. Or maybe it will help her boss to realize that she may need a customer service training course or something to that effect. I truly hope something is done because I pray that no one walks out of that office feeling the way that I felt yesterday. read more
