Change is constant, right? My insurance provider decided to…read morechange from VSP to EyeMed which meant I needed to find a new provider. I had cataract surgery last March which corrected my distance vision. The downside is that I now require readers. In addition, for my part-time job, I work on a computer in a public place so I need bi-focals. Unfortunately, I lost one of the lenses and the frames are damaged. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment. I was there early for my time. I filled out some paperwork and was ready to go when Dr Brook Vastis called me in. We talked about my transition to her practice and my vision needs. Mainly to get an exam to provide to my PCP, replacement bi-focal lenses and frames. The office environment is professional and functional. The Reception process was smooth and easy. While I was waiting I noticed there were two ladies that were talking to patients about their frame selections. They have a lot of premium choices, Maui Jim, Lilly Pulitzer, State Optical, Barton Perreira, Lafont of Paris,Ernia O of Barcelona, Silhouette, Ovo Optics, Modo, Morel and Kate Spade to name a few. I met with a lady named Jessie to talk about selecting frames and lenses and completing my order. She was very professional, friendly and helpful. I was pleased my insurance covered a large percentage of the overall costs. While changing medical providers can sometimes be anxious and stressful, this was not one of them.

They are amazing and have been every visit that I've ever had. It doesn't matter whether it's the…read moreexam looking at glasses for making an appointment... The staff are always so helpful. I was one this first patients. When my insurance changed he was not in network. After 2 years I went back. Hands down one of the best doctors I've ever had. They are ahead of the curve with technology and he always knows the newest multifocal contacts that are coming out, etc. I highly highly recommend Optique

Let me echo some of what Sheri H. had to say, because she's right!…read more I have also been wearing glasses since I was eight, and I'm now sixty years old. I moved to Rock Hill almost seven years ago, and started seeing another optometrist. They were okay, but one of the employees in the frames and lenses department was as unhelpful to me as she possibly could be. I've even complained about her a time or two, to no avail. The other employee in that department was as nice, thorough, and caring as you could want, and she had to leave to take care of family. The last couple of times I went for glasses, they were slow to come back, and something was just a twitch off about my prescription. I wasn't even sure there was a problem with it, until I came to Dr Foust! Dr Foust and his group are fantastic. He was super thorough in examining my eyes, and making sure my prescription would be right. It really needs to be, as it is a high index (I'm *very* near-sighted) and a high astigmatism in both eyes. My prescription can be so finickey that I've had to send a pair of glasses back a couple of times in my life to have them remade. Not this time, and not Dr Foust! When Robert McBee was up to bat to deal with my lenses and frames, I asked to use the frames I have, because they're memory metal and I really like them. No problem. Going over the prescription with me, and pointing out a few things that would help my prescription to work well, we ordered my lenses. I was told it would be about two weeks. And, two weeks it was, and I had my new glasses! When I picked them up, Robert told me to wear them to get used to them, and then come back in a few days to see if they need adjusting. Here I am just over a week now, and no adjustment is necessary from my POV! So, Eye Contact Express, Dr Foust and Robert McBee all have my thanks and strong approval! I will be their customer for a very long time!

I called back again this morning and the lady I spoke with was very rude and said we haven't completed it yet I asked when it would be completed since I was told I would receive a call back this morning and she replied "sometime today" and hung up. I called right back and told her to not even worry about it. I thought this would be an awesome place to go being as though they have 5 stars but I guess not I don't even want to be bothered with them!

Rock Hill Eye put me off 3 months on a cataract that i could hardly see out of and had to rely on the other eye. I contacted Mecklenburg Eye , made an appt. with Dr. Kurivilla, who has a 4.7 star rating, for almost 2 months before Rock Hill Eye Center. He did both eyes 3 weeks before Rock Hill Eye could do one. I think they must do very few since it only takes 10-15 minutes to do an eye and there aren't that many people in Rock Hill or some other reason why it's sooooooo far in advance. Dr. K was awesome! He answers all your ?'s and is very caring about your needs. The staff was great to and they even have a Rock Hill office. I am glad I made the right decision.

I was told to continue with the dr orders. Then it was the weekend & I called the online after hours & met another dr on Saturday she diagnosed me with allergies & told me to stop tge eye drops. On Monday I just went in the office & said look at my eye, it is worse. I got to see another dr who diagnosed me with a severe case of The PINK EYE that took me 2+ weeks to recover. I suffered with eye pain for 6 days!! I sent a letter to Rock Hill Eye explaining the whole order & asked that the remaining charges for tge mis diagnosis be written off. I also had 2 cataract surgery scheduled for the upcoming months but decided to find a different eye dr. I had been their patient for over 20 years and did not receive any help when I knew something was terribly wrong with my eye. Terrible experience with this eye center.

Here's my…read moreupdated and response: Rebuttal to Dr. Dutson: Dr. Dutson, I am absolutely a former patient of your practice, and I stand by every word of my review. It's disappointing to see you respond not by addressing the concerns I raised, but by questioning whether I was ever a patient at all. That's not only false--it's a deflection from the real issue: I paid for new designer frames and was given used/demo ones from your display wall. I wasn't even provided the proper designer case they normally come with, just a generic one that didn't fit properly. That is not acceptable, and it certainly isn't ethical. You claim to have searched your patient database but couldn't verify me--yet somehow you sent me a private message on Yelp with direct contact info. That doesn't align. You also claim I would have responded if I were a real patient. I did not respond because I already attempted to contact your office directly before ever posting a review, and I was ignored. Only after leaving honest public feedback did I receive any acknowledgment. This pattern of dismissing concerns and redirecting the narrative is exactly what motivated me to leave a review. My intent was not to harm your business, but to protect future patients from the experience I had. That is the purpose of reviews. I hope you will take accountability rather than attempting to discredit dissatisfied patients. Charlotte.
