Whenever I call to see if my glasses are ready they kept saying they should be in soon and that it's the labs fault. It's been almost three months when they originally told me two weeks. They put the blame on the lab and the my insurance company. Today the receptionist went to get the dr and put me on hold while I was still speaking. Very rude and unprofessional. I do understand that it may not be directly the fault of the office. But since they are the ones up front handling things they are partially responsible. Today , again I was given a date my glasses should be ready. Which is June 2. If my glasses are not ready as promised and if they don't have the same prescription and detail as I had for my original pair of glasses, I want a full refund of the money I paid out of pocket. Not the best. I came in for an eye check up and they made a prescription that does not work for me…read more When I got my glasses I had continual eye strain after wearing them for days. I came in and asked to be rescheduled for a second eye check up. Which was happily complimentary. But they would not be able to see me for the next 2 weeks. I needed my glasses fixed as soon as possible due to extended travel and had to go to another eye doctor and pay for the eye check up without insurance in order to fix my prescription. It is my expectation that when somebody else makes a mistake that they have to pay for it and that they attempt to fix their mistakes as a high priority. They are fixing their mistake for free but this is the least I expect from a company, that they fix their mistakes. Walmart Vision Center does not fix its mistakes well. I was obliged to spend a few hours of work and time on my part trying to solve the problem and also paying for an eye visit with another doctor to fix the prescription. Walmart visitors center should focus more on its customers by ensuring a better experience to those affected by their mistakes.

The most caring and knowledgeable eye doctor I've seen…read more I had been previously diagnosed with mild astigmatism. Another eye doctor that I later saw in Charlotte failed to diagnose it, and when I brought up the earlier diagnosis, dismissed my concerns. Dr. David Au correctly diagnosed my astigmatism - there was a noticeable difference between the normal and astigmatism lens - and I'm glad to be finally able to get the lens I need. Dr. Au answered all my questions and showed me a protocol for referring contact lens prescriptions - quite refreshing compared to other eye docs I've seen that were less transparent and steered me towards one particular brand (that I wonder if they were receiving some form of kickbacks on). That's not only false--it's a deflection from the real issue: I paid for new designer frames and was given used/demo ones from your display wall. I wasn't even provided the proper designer case they normally come with, just a generic one that didn't fit properly. That is not acceptable, and it certainly isn't ethical. You claim to have searched your patient database but couldn't verify me--yet somehow you sent me a private message on Yelp with direct contact info. That doesn't align. You also claim I would have responded if I were a real patient. I did not respond because I already attempted to contact your office directly before ever posting a review, and I was ignored. Only after leaving honest public feedback did I receive any acknowledgment. This pattern of dismissing concerns and redirecting the narrative is exactly what motivated me to leave a review.
