Not good at all. Outrageously priced, rude service and forgot to do contact lens exam, now they want an additional $165. Stay away.

Dirty, no selection of glasses and rude service. I felt like I was at the DMV. The worst.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I called and made an appointment weeks in advance. They sent me multiple text messages to confirm my appointment, which I did. They called me the day before my appointment to confirm. When I was finally able to call them back and confirm the appointment, the office was closed. I called the following day (day of appointment to confirm) and the canceled and booked someone else in my spot. They were rude on the phone and said they had called my multiple times to confirm, which is a LIE. I have proof the only called my once! DO NOT GO TO THEM RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!! read more

Just terrible. Every step of the way was difficult. First they told my son he didn't need glasses when he ABSOLUTELY DOES. Their receptionist "Mars" is one of the most unprofessional, unhelpful, nastiest people I've ever had to speak with. Furious. read more

I am beyond livid with the experience today for my daughter. We had a 2:00 appointment in Fairfield CT. Got there early and was finally taken back to a room at 2:30. Left sitting there for another 15 minutes and the doctor came in (Dr. Sid Stou). She did talk to my daughter and asked what brought us in. I said I wanted her eyes checked bc she has been having headaches. She then told me she would be right back had to get a different tool and went into a room with a different patient!! She lied to both me and my daughter when she knew damn well she was bouncing between patients! Either you have an appointment or you don't! The fact that she was untruthful by saying that she had to get something instead of saying that she had to go finish up with a patient. I left after being there over an hour with no results and no better info than when I walked in there. I did call the office To make sure I would not be billed and the receptionist told me that we in fact would be and my insurance would be billed. We did not have an exam and my insurance only covers one eye visit a year. I still need to take My daughter to have her eyes checked and now can not because they were sending this to my insurance. I'm furious! And my insurance company should not be fraudulently billed for something that didn't happen! read more

Yikes. Read the reviews after making my appt. sonI went in with low expectations. No complaints what-so-ever. They took me back before my scheduled appointment time despite being down one employee due to illness. I was familiar with Dr. Constanza from Dr. Brandt's practice and he is thorough and personable. Explained everything clearly. Amy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. They asked if I was looking to purchase glasses and I said "no" and there was no pressure, just a very friendly "no problem." Based on my personal experience, I would not hesitate to return. I wasn't sure about parking but there is a small lot directly behind building and a back entrance. Of course, there is always the big lot at the end of Sanford St. read more

The lenses on my sunglasses are crackling in less than a year. When I showed them they asked me if I bought the insurance which i did not. I pointed out this was a defect or warranty issue but they were not interested in helping me with this. Poor service. read more

Walked into the Fairfield store with my wife on Good Friday around 2:30PM. Was looking for a new pair of glasses. No customers in the store and 2 employees in the front. Is it unreasonable to expect someone to ask if you need help? Didn't happen. We had to ask where the men's eyeglasses were and were directed at a display near the window and behind one of the employees. As we looked around did either employee asked how we were doing? Ask what we were looking for so they could help us select a frame. Nada...Nothing....No help. Walked out. We were on our way to Westport and decided to drop into the other MyEyeDr store (one more chance...fair enough). Got help and guidance as soon as we entered the store and several more times until I was able to find a suitable frame. Processed my insurance and recorded my prescription while we were looking. Ended up purchasing a pair of glasses. Moral of the story...customer service is really important to consumers. Don't expect a sale if you don't have staff who care to provide good customer service. read more

I have been going to this Eye Dr. for 5+ years. Today I ran into traffic and arrived 20 min late, when I walked in and said I was arriving for my appointment, MyEyeDr representative said we have a 10min grace period, I said I excuse me? Can you fit me in? He said sorry no we can reschedule you. there was no one in the waiting area (which I have waited for my appointment every time I have been to this eye doctor). I looked at all communications with my appointment and there was no statement of 10min grace period. There was no effort to help in this situation. All three employees were just sitting alone in the store... I am leaving MyEyDr for good, and will tell everyone of this poor customer service, so to those three employees, better start dusting since its going to be a lonely place. read more

I really should have looked at the reviews before booking. I booked a 5pm appointment for my middle school daughter through their online portal. Got a call at 3:30pm to advise that due to a 'glitch' in their booking system, our appointment should not have been made, and that I really should have called them directly to make an appointment. It's not their problem if their software messes up. So no appointment for us today. Reinforced over the phone by receptionist and later in store by Amy, the store manager. Doesn't help me in the least, as my daughter won't have her phone back on until 4:50pm, so I have no option except to meet her at MyEyeDr as we had previously arranged. Amy advised that their booking system is glitchy and I really should have called directly. Translate that to ' It wasn't us. this is your fault." Amy queries me as to what do I want her to do, as it's not their fault. Amy, make a better effort at accommodating patrons when YOUR processes fail ME. "Would I like to book another appointment?" Amy asks....... "Yes I would. BUT NOT HERE!" (As with another patron, I have gone to the next town over to book our appointments. Thats 5 years before college for teen #1, 4 years for teen #2, 3 years for teen #3. Our insurance covers our children up to age 26. I went to this location in Fairfield CT on Mar 4th 2021.....I had my eyes examined, and then ordered my eye glasses.........I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY NEW PAIR OF GLASSES YET.... It has been just about 7 weeks. The First pair of glasses were totally worthless and it was like walking and trying to see through a thick fog. I returned the glasses to the staff and their reply was that it could take about 5 days for the brain to adjust to the new glasses. IF I HAD TAKEN THEM I could have caused a major traffic accident because I could not see through them. If was just like looking as if I was in a total fog. Now I go in for another exam and I am advised by the Dr I will get a new pair of glasses last Friday. Can "things get any worse, most certainly". The office staff refused and advised me that they new pair of glasses will not be ready on Friday and MAYBE sometime next (thing coming week ) I call the customer service dept and I am advised that in order for the young lady to 'speak to the labs about my order it could take up to and or more than an hours wait' They were busy. I got the same sort of answer from thre Representative from the store. I tried called their headquarters and only received a message to please lease a name and telephone number because their message box was full. I tried emailing the corporate email and only received an email back that a rely could only be looked into and a reply would arrive within 2-3 days. Honestly making an appointment for the Covid Vaccine was a whole lot easier and timely. I have had 2 eye exams...........I have paid in full..........it's been over 7 weeks and I have no proper eye glasses......allot of time spent on hold, no specific time to pick up my new eye glasses and every possible excuse if I was lucky to speak to a person . They took my money, gave me a total worthless first pair of eye glasses and now I am in their never never land. Would I ever want to go there again ( Only to pick up a proper pair of glass and then get out of there ) Did I make a charitable contribution to corporation that appears to have an employee shortage.............that certainly appears to be the case. read more

I went for an eye exam and to get new glasses. The Doctor and Eye Exam were Great. He was thorough, and I was happy. Eye glasses not so much. The glasses are hugely expensive. I am recently retired, and getting a basic pair of glasses, with progressive lenses, with Transition lenses and anti-glare would cost over $1,200. Without transition and anti-Glare and applying my insurance still was going to cost me almost $500. Initially, I had agreed to the glasses, then immediately changed my mind, as I sat there in the office. I wanted to see if I could find same/similar glasses cheaper elsewhere. I did. But they had already run my credit card. They were not able to give me refund. Something about their new system. Here it is 3 days later, and, they still can't process my refund. Their manager, administrator are not able to help. I called their billing company to try and get this revolved. Still no luck. So I escalated to the MyEyeDoctor National number. I also called my credit card to contest the charge. The corporate office was eventually able to fix it, but it won't be applied for 3-5 business days. This was an unnecessary pain. I may get eye exams here in future, but not glasses. read more

Went here two weeks ago for a routine eyeglass exam. It was very fast and the nurse (I don't remember her name) and doctor were both pretty nice and friendly. That is the only reason it gets one star. I didn't want To buy new glasses there that day because I wanted to buy online. I have no vision insurance so I can't really afford to buy them there from them. I told them I had zero intentions of buying any that day DURING my exam to the nurse AND the doctor. Yet before I left they ushered me out to the sales woman, I did browse a few pairs to see some different styles I might like. I told the sales woman this and she seemed super annoyed. Whatever, I paid for the exam and left. She said I could access my prescription on the online portal. Last week I was going to buy a pair online, I accessed my prescription but it didn't have my pupillary distance. Now I'm obviously not an expert in the field of eyes and eye care so I had no idea what that was or anything. So I called the office asking them if it wasn't just normally included in the prescription and if I could possibly get it. I was met by the absolute RUDEST nastiest woman on the other side of the phone. I politely asked for the pupillary distance and she said: WELL did you order glasses from us? I said: no, I'm trying to order some online. She's like: okay well how are we supposed to know your pupillary distance if you didn't order glasses from us? I replied that I wasn't sure what she meant by that and she huffed and puffed and said each individual pair of glasses your eye has to be measured in to know how to shape the lens. Mind you she was talking to me and telling me this like she thought I had half a brain cell. I responded to her and said oh OK well I am not an eye doctor and I've never ordered glasses online so how was I supposed to know that? I snarkily said so sorry for bothering you but thanks. I moved to Fairfield Connecticut a few years ago and wanted to have my eyes examined. I did not know about my eye dr, Ididn't realize that it was a chain. I'm sure they don't like it to be referred to as a chain but like Burger King that's what it is, - I had my eyes examined maybe three times over the years; most recently with Dr. Sui, who is a very kind person and I suspect, a very good doctor - that being said, I'll never go back to that franchise again. And it goes something like this; after my eye examination, I had drops in my eyes and Dr. Sui ushers me over to someone in the front , then that person tries to sell me a pair of glasses, which as someone who has five or six pairs, I really don't need but I indulged her and walked around the store, then confessed to the salesperson that I couldn't really tell about the frames , as I have drops in my eyes and that I wasn't quite in the mood to shop for glasses, this seemed to aggravate her , "OK ,fine here's your bill for the exam." A few days go by and I realized that I didn't have any idea if my prescription had changed or if there was any advice that I should heed from Dr. Sui, so I called to speak to the doctor, but she only works one day in Fairfield and I requested that she call me, They wanted to know what it was about , I said , about the results of my eye exam . I did not hear back from the doctor (aka :MyEyeDr ) then I called again week and asked said why didn't the doctor call me ? Now I have aggravated another member of the staff- "Sir you would have to schedule a time to speak with her but that may not be possible because she sees patients all day long ."- In summary - will seek another eye doctor- earlier in the review, I made a reference to Burger King , it's not exactly like that chain because at least at Burger King you can get it your way. read more
