We had Evan Reitmeyer as our DJ for our wedding; to say that he received 5/5 stars would be the world's biggest understatement. Starting off with just the basics; Evan did an amazing job as a DJ; he did a phenomenal job putting together the set, responding to changes in the schedule (last minute ones and all), coming over to check with us and ensuring the event went smoothly. He was a phenomenal MC, helping make announcements, with his amazing radio voice transitioning us from one part of the wedding to another, and we absolutely no instances of feedback, music blasting, or the wrong kind of song playing; his years of experience as a professional DJ shining through. Starting to go with the above and beyond; Evan went out of his way to make sure the on-the-dress microphone for the ceremony wasn't even visible. Evan was also super flexible with special requests; We had a custom song for our event, as well as custom mixes for our first dance/parent's dance/groomsmen flash-mob dance. We had no issues with coordinating with Evan and he was super responsive and easy to work with. And finally, the exceptional; When our florist and day-of coordinator bailed the day-of, Evan stepped in and ensured everything went smoothly; he took a copy of the schedule, made extra announcements, helped coordinate and cue the musicians, helped line up the guests, and greatly exceeded anything we could have hoped for. A vendor "just doing their job" could have done just that, staying behind the equipment and mixing playing the music, but Evan became a pillar of the event, supporting us, making sure everything was ok and pitching in any way he could. We hired Chuck Nunn from MyDeejay for our wedding in June 2025, and it was hands down one of the best decisions we made! From our very first conversation, he was professional, responsive, and attentive to our preferences. We were pretty flexible on the exact music we wanted and provided a general idea of the vibe we were going for, and he offered a few great suggestions and took it from there. He worked really well with our coordinator and handled all the sound set-up for our outdoor ceremony and reception seamlessly; all the music/speeches sounded great. He made us an awesome cocktail hour playlist that completely matched the summertime, laid-back vibe we were going for. During the reception, he was a fantastic emcee (we wanted a more chill party vibe and he totally delivered - super cool, nothing over-the-top at all) and, most importantly, did an amazing job with the music once the dance floor opened. He made awesome song choices and mixed the music perfectly, delivered on great vibes and variety, and didn't touch our Do Not Play list once. A month after our wedding I still have friends telling me how much they loved the music. MyDeejay is a wonderful DJ company! The reps are so easy to communicate with, are timely in responding, and are flexible. From the moment we spoke with Evan from MyDeejay, we knew he would be perfect for our wedding. He was extremely accommodating and flexible throughout the planning process. This was much appreciated given the craziness of rescheduling due to covid. As for the actual wedding, Evan absolutely killed it! Our wedding was almost three weeks ago and people are still reaching out and raving about the music. Evan crafted a playlist that perfectly matched the mood and atmosphere we wanted. We provided a small subset of songs we wanted to hear. Based on these songs, Evan was able to craft an evening filled with music that perfectly matched our vibe and music taste. He played classical music during cocktail hour, romantic music during dinner, and started the party with fantastic throwbacks and ended with more upbeat pop, R&B, and EDM hits. He was even able to incorporate Italian and Greek music that our guests requested on the spot! He also knew when to pull back and when to turn up. We felt so comfortable deferring to his expertise! After postponing our wedding in Utah twice we moved it to Maryland and were on a time crunch. I interviewed two other companies, but after chatting with them I knew right away they were the perfect fit. First of all, they send you a questionnaire to match you with your DJ which I think is so crucial. All of the communication was professional, timely and full of great information. We were matched with Brian Jones who has the same music taste as we do and our first little chat ended up being an hour long! After you are matched they give you questionnaires and a system where you can input music. It's a very thorough process but helped with my timeline with all vendors and really helped us get organized. I went overboard and sent Brian 9 hours of music, and knowing our taste and the vibe that we wanted he was able to create the perfect soundtrack to our evening. My friends and I did not leave the dance floor and we had the older folks dancing as long as they could as well. I felt like he was a friend we hired to play our event and not a vendor. It seriously could not have gone better and I am SO thankful I found MyDeeJay! I got married on 9/15/2018 and mydeejay was recommended by the venue (Army Navy Country Club). When I reached out via email, the company was super responsive, with both online and live active personnel to help. I filled out a questionaire that helped to narrow down my desires and they assigned a dj to me based on my needs. Jon Ryu was our DJ and he was simply fantastic. First of all, we had about 3 telephone convos during the planning process where he took down all my requests and custom tailoring which was so important to me because I had a lot of traditional and contemporary elements to my wedding. He has done over 200 weddings so he gets it. He is totally chill but also very professional. His set up and timeliness was spotless, and he had all the right equipment. He also provided our officiant with a lapel mic and our reader with a tripod mic. He was just awesome and after the wedding I had so many people asking for his card! He kept the dance floor busy all night and I am super thankful that he was a part of our wedding! read more

My wife and I got married at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria and cannot say enough good things about MyDeejay and DJ Evan! He was so responsive, so easy to work with, and the MyDeejay site could not have been easier to use! We were able to upload songs we'd like for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and even include a few for Evan to dedicate to guests, which added a great personal touch to the dancing portion of the evening. Brian from MyDeeJay was fantastic! Our wedding was 12/2022 and service was very reasonably priced for everything MyDeeJay provided and did for us! Brian spoke with us when we first hired the service to get a feel for how we want the day to go music wise. Then he followed up again a few weeks before the wedding to get into the nitty gritty details. The website MyDeeJay uses for you to input all the songs you want or don't want is a little confusing and old, but it gets the job done. And the work was worth it because Brian did a great job of mixing the whole day! He was also able to provider lapel mics during the ceremony and all the speakers for the day. We were in three locations across the venue property during the day and he was a champ and was able to get everything set up for all the different locations. He was great to work with from the start, willing to be as involved or as "out of the way" as we wanted him to be during the planning process and our wedding night. Due to COVID, our wedding was postponed twice over two years. Welvin stayed in contact with us the whole time. His effort and attention to detail were readily apparent. He coordinated multiple phone calls, first a few months out to take some time to get to know us, and another two weeks out so he could ensure he had every little item right. We had DJ Keion Gaskins who was absolutely fantastic. He was well prepared with questions and was able to get all of the questions resolved before the wedding day. On the wedding day, Keion was energetic and incredibly professional and worked with our coordinator to get setup. He did an amazing job of keeping people on the dance floor while also hitting a wide variety of songs so all of our guests were out there dancing. Our family and friends kept commenting on how great the music was and how energetic the dance floor was.
