Was referred to this company by a friend so I believed them. Michael, the owner seemed sincere. We were supposed to get a new website that was SEO optimized and they were going to manage it. They said for 12 months I would be paying $1000 but my website would be ready after 6 weeks. My website still wasn't done after 6 months. After 6 weeks, I started building my pages on Chatgpt and sending it to them and they did put up some of them but changes were not done when asked. They kept sending the "marketing manager" to call when I threatened them. It did not give traffic to my website. This company is a scam. After paying them for 6months, I paid another company thousands of dollars to build out a new website for me. I told them that I no longer wanted to do business with them and their response was that I was being irrational. It was another 3 months before they realized that we were no longer using their platform and my credit card wasn't working for them. They have written and threatened me many times saying that they were going to call all of my vendors and tell them not to do business with me. I laughed at them, what a joke! My other vendors deliver what's promised and get paid. I asked for a copy of the ratified contract because I never received a copy and they ignored that request. I just received notice of a claim on my credit report for a different amount from what they said I owed them (for the 3 months that they did NOOOOOOO work and didn't notice that we weren't working with them anymore even though I told them). This company is a scam. AI will tell you that the only good reviews come from their own website but not 3rd party review sites. Do not trust this company. read more

It took the 2x longer then we agreed to produce my website then at the end of the year contract they wouldn't let me cancel and auto renewed for another year because I only gave them a written cancellation request 35 days before then end of my contract instead on 45 days. read more

Been with them for 1 year now we are hoping to work out a few issues moving forward. I will edit the review once finalized.

No compassion for their clients. I missed a deadline by a couple days and they insisted on locking me into a new 2-year contract paid monthly which they fraudulently started putting on my card and I had to have my credit card company reverse. I offered to pay an extra one month fee for missing the deadline to let me out of the contract but they couldn't accept the fact that a person can be legitimately distracted the next two months after their son is murdered. But no they insisted that I'm locked in for two more years because they just wanted my money. The website just wasn't doing it for me and I had already switched to a different company and there was no way I was going to continue with My Advice. I made them a very fair offer. Now I've been sent to collections which I'll have to fight. definitely avoid My Advice like the plague. Dr Westman read more

I worked with Robert Antosy on developing a better online presence. He was helpful and provided value to my business.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! As the other reviewers have said, they tie you into a contract and FAIL to deliver good-quality work. BEWARE of signing a contract with them because they will keep you tied in regardless of customer satisfaction. VERY DIFFICULT COMPANY TO WORK WITH! read more

This is an update to the response left by the business owner to my original review. It is ABSOLUTELY FALSE that you reached out to me "many times". You didn't even reach out to me by phone ONCE except for the one time to solicit me. No attempted phone call and no e-mail except the one from your VP in response to the BBB complaint, only doing the same thing you're doing here by telling me how I don't understand this great service that you're insisting I benefit from. So that's just more mendacity. And yet YOU accuse ME of misleading others? No. Auto-renewal was definitely not discussed in our phone conversation. And NO, the renewal notice is not in "large and bold" print on the invoice (see attached). And also 'NO', there was no separate notice about the renewal coming up last year. Every email and invoice is accounted for and they do not reflect what you said in your response. I've conceded in my original review that you only have the legal high ground (maybe), however, I'm merely putting out the "Buyer Beware". For every invoice I receive from you, I will pay it instantly, in compliance with contract law, but I will continue to warn others (as I told you that I would do) about your true lack of transparency. If you want to try to be transparent, why don't you say right here in the comments how exactly I've been benefiting from your service? How truly beneficial are your services if you're having to threaten clients with escalating to Collections in order to retain them? Do you think it's ethical to force your clients into a renewal just because "most companies" do this? Or because State law sanctions it? I would never dream of holding my clients to services against their will. Who do you think you are? read more

Awful, I would not recommend them. Hired them for map ranking, during the contract in January, the google business profile, the business was removed from google. They said they would find out why and reinstate. By end of march after several emails, no profile back, company had vanished off the earth, I asked to cancel service. I hired another company who within 3 days of appeal to google, google then sent the new company I hired appeal approved, the business was back on google. advice are hounding with collection agency for money, for work they failed to do, per their own contract. Our company was also way down on the pages, when we did pay them. Although i understand it can take time, I would not hire them at all unfortunately. They tie you into a contract, they don't do any work, they hound you for money from a collection agency when they failed to have you visable anywhere on the internet, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I wish i had read these reviews about them and could have spared myself all these problems. They also auto debit your account so that was a problem stopping them read more

We have been with Advice for four years. When we first started, we were very impressed with the level of service and support we received. However, after a few months, we began to notice a decline in the quality of our account management. We cycled through several account managers, and each one seemed less responsive and helpful than the last. Finally, we were assigned to Abbey. Abbey has been a breath of fresh air. She is incredibly responsive, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our website is performing at its peak. We are very happy with the level of service we are now receiving from Advice, and we are confident that Abbey will continue to be a valuable asset to our team. read more

If you want a website that actually has trackable links, real measurable SEO and more then once a month monitoring then I would steer clear of this company. Years of wasted time and money, they didn't deliver on an updated website at year 2. I did some sniffing around and had an online presence analysis done. What I got back was 33 pages of shameful truth that My Advice was scamming me. When I showed it to them they blew me off. Thats when I ended up breaking up with them and building a new site. They say I owe them $30k and are even sending debt collectors now. My advice... go find a real web services company. Not this one. read more

Lindsey J. has been great to work with. She always come prepared for our meetings with suggestions for areas of improvement. But more importantly, in my personal opinion, is able to adapt on the fly when I make a non-planned request. She has always made the edits herself or submitted them to her team and followed up to ensure they were completed. As for the company, I appreciate that they are able to present to you a nearly complete website for my review. This for me is much better than having to oversee every little change which for me is very inefficient. Thanks again for your help today Lindsey! read more

Terrible service, no one one will help you ever. They keep billing you and charging you. Good luck canceling service with them. Very unprofessional service, seems more of a scam. They never respond to emails, shuffle you around with phone calls. I got stuck with them for a year service. They provided zero help. read more

Advice Media is all about money and don't deliver any results or quality work! They have a very good salesman, he makes it look very attractive with a lot promises! Over-sales and under-delivers on all aspects of his work. Advice Media's marketing team techniques are less than basic and once your contract is sign they don't care about your presence and performance. Social media team uses stock photos only with 1 to 2 hashtags! Who is going to watch this! They don't offer anything that works nowadays on social media's (no carousel pictures ,no reals ,no videos). They actually will bring your engagement down because content is so dry and boring. I realized very quickly that all they want is your monthly payment. They were supposed to work on my website but after seeing how social media is managed and how the website design team works, I back out off the deal and hired someone else to improve my website- Thanks God! Regardless they still wanted to be paid in full for all the tasks they didn't do! Advice Media didn't even do website analysis (someone else did it for me )- they just want to change it to their own. They wanted to use a basic, boring, standard temples to build website. After one month I also knew that I don't want them to mass up my social medias. Anyone who has very basic knowledge can do better job! Watch out!!!!!! It's impossible to brake contact with them as they will threaten you to send your account to collection agency (even if they didn't do any work that they promised)! Local power and review that will cost you almost $400 a month is available for free in much easier settings without any charges. Other reviews show that it is common practice in this company - they just want your $$$ ! They don't even get ambitious to try to improve their services! I completely agree with Christina K., Sara R. and others : " PLEASE STAY AWAY- THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND THEIR SALES PERSON ROBERT, HE IS SUPER RESPONSIVE BEFORE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT AND DISAPPEARS AFTER- DO NOT TRUST HIM!" I'm planning to send my report to Better Business Bureaus and take care of those scammers legal way. read more

I got roped into using this company for my business, being sold on how they would monitor my digital presence and send every single client a form to leave me a review to get me higher ratings and drive traffic. Well none of this has happened. Six months in and I have switched reps Atleast 3 times, no one can keep up with what's happening. The phone calls they schedule with you are 2-3 mins long mostly talking about a follow up call . This whole thing is one big scam. Do not waste time or money. read more

I originally signed up about seven years ago and initially the company was beneficial. However, over time the only thing the company did correctly was charge me a monthly fee. When I did have a significant issue in terms of my website, I needed to hire an outside agency to resolve the issue, and myadvice was useless in terms of any troubleshooting. I then asked to terminate my contract, and was informed that when the initial contract was signed, it would automatically renew on yearly basis, without letting me know, and to cancel, the company required at least 45 days written notice. to complicate matters, they make it excessively difficult to cancel. This is not how an ethical company should be run. read more

Poor investment on my part. Can't get out of the contract. Not working for me. I feel the staff was very young and inexperienced as well. Initial sales call advised that I could cancel in three months but that was not true. Stuck with us till October 2022. read more

Do NOT do business with this company. You do NOT get what you paid for. I made the mistake of hiring My Advice. They promised a professional, custom website (which they convinced me I needed to boost my SEO), but after months of delay, they delivered a subpar, generic, poorly designed website that was visually unappealing and riddled with errors. When I requested changes, they refused to make significant improvements. They had the audacity to tell me that the shoddy website they delivered was the 'basic package,' and that I'd have to pay extra (almost double) for something that actually looked professional and aesthetically appealing. When I attempted to cancel my contract, I was informed that I was locked into a one-year agreement and would be charged in full for the remaining year, even though they had failed to deliver on their promises. Additionally, they touted the value of their social media services, despite providing only a few basic posts that didn't justify the cost. I strongly advise against using their services. Their customer service is abysmal, and their contracts are predatory. Don't waste your time or money. Save yourself the frustration! read more

We are really excited about our new website and social power through Rachel at Team Brighton!

I have to say that the company has continued to improve. We are not using their social media at all anymore, so I cannot state that side of the company has improved. But, the web side has become much more engaged and responsive to our needs. The blog articles have really improved as well. It is almost as if they are paying attention to what we need! Our company has been working with Abbey at Advice Media for years. I was hired in July of last year and didn't really know much about the company or my way around the website. This company is a SCAM!!!!. I hired them to build my website and improve my rankings, they did just the opposite. Before I hire them I was ranked at the top of the first page after they rebuilt my site I was on the bottom of the second page, not even found on the first page at all. They didn't response after multiple attempts and I had to hire another company to rebuild my site which then put me back on the top of the first page ranking. They finally responded after they realized I hire a new company and had my new site built. The sale department will LIE to you to get your business and - STYA AWAY THEY R A SCAM!!!!!!!!!! read more

Fantastic service for my practice and website. Abbey has been incredible to work with! Highly recommend.

1) Slow or non responsive. IF we are responded to, unless I mark it urgent, nothing occurs. Even then meetings are set up a day or two later. 2) I talk to a different team member who has no clue, gets defensive and doesn't solve the issue when we actually do get in touch 3) ZERO urgency shown when we have needed it most. 4) Advice Media has lost our company lots of money with their slow speed to respond to small accounts such as us 4) Advice Media holds your business's website hostage. They are a much larger company than me and threatens about a contract that I never signed. read more

DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM! They are awful group of people that are out there for their benefit, and they really don't care about you or your business. They will hold you hostage to their agreement that they will make you sign up for a year and you will have to pay them regardless. Also, they will take over your website and you will not be able to own it anymore. You will lose customers because of them and you can't do much because you signed the contract. I contracted three locations for the year. When I had asked to cancel one to pursue similar service with our website company one month after contract ended, they held me to the auto renew clause imbedded in language of the contract. needless to say I cancelled all three contracts and would strongly suggest not doing business with them. I had to remove them from our facebook page so I do not have redundant postings. They feel they deserve my free money based on a clause they build in to snare customers. I could accept it if many months past the contract end but it was one month! Bad business! read more

I own Beautiful U Med Spa in Lehi Utah. I hired Advice Media over three years ago. At first they were great. After about 1.5 years of their service they went down hill. I asked to cancel my contract when two years was up. We corresponded with emails for several months about how unhappy I was and the agreed upon services were not being completed. Two years came and they renewed my contract automatically for another two years without my permission. I pay them 1300.00 a month. They changed some colors on my website and said since they revamped my site I had to pay another two years. I have been so upset with them. I was with Advice Media for 3.5 years before I completely lost faith and did not want to go any further with them. I asked for my backend passwords to get someone to help me with my website. My SEO was horrible. I paid someone to redo my web site because they would not give me my passwords. I had someone else take everything over and stopped using Advice Media. Today I just got a collection letter stating I owe them for several months of services which I did not receive. Someone else has been running my website. They have not ran things for several months now. Really, they have never ran things. They are wanting 6950.45. This is my advice to you as a future consumer. Do not get involved with this company! As a business owner I would never do this to my customers. They know they were doing nothing on my website. Shame on Advice Media. They leave the customer no choice but to find help elsewhere. They are a very dishonest company as you will see after reading case after case of dissatisfied customers. read more

Absolutely, undeniably terrible. Took months to get a previously designed website updated and at that point it was nothing more than an exact replica of what I had. I was fortunate to work with Ivanka and Kayti on our company website update. It was a long process and we could not be happier with the results. The website is like no other in our competitive market of plastic surgery. Our search rankings are presently looking very good too. I also have to say, I am so impressed with Ivanka and Kayti and their professionalism with every single contact. With the creation of a new/updated website comes a lot of collaboration. It can get quite stressful. They were both so understanding and kind and bottom line wanted our practice to have the website we were hoping for. It was a great experience. Advice Media had purchased MedNet technologies right in the middle of this project. Both ladies handled it like pros. I am thankful for their patience and for the end result. It's beautiful. Buyer Beware! They misrepresent what their services really are and are pushy like a timeshare salesperson to get our website live. I was so excited for the website reveal only to find out that all they did and were planning to do was transfer our content over. Our new website actually looks worse! There was no "development". We had given them exactly what we were looking for: improvement on user navigation and sense of direction, sections with different body part pain areas, clean up navigation, SEO optimization, increased speed. The "reveal" was extremely disappointing! Their Order form has fine print that states click on webpage (that clearly can be modified) for terms- so not legal. I am taking them to small claims court which I advise others to do. They are in Park City, Utah and the max on small claims is $11,000. read more

My Experience with Advice Media We attended the Academy meeting in New Orleans in 2017. It was the last day. We were tired and looking forward to going home. We came across Advice Media's booth and started talking with them. While we provide excellent patient care, our patients are almost all older. Many times a day patients express their pleasure with our services and thank us for caring for them. It is the reason why we keep the practice going. It's all about the patients. We do have a few younger patients, but the vast majority are older. We found that some of younger patients, with unreasonable expectations, have gone online and social media to "punish" us. These complaints vary but are almost always, well, bogus. As an example, one grandson complained that he had to wait an hour for his grandmother to complete her comprehensive eye exam. It takes an hour for an exam, and if asked we tell people that. In any case, our online, social media presence did not reflect the quality of our care. We also found that when older patients go online and say great things about us, some of the platforms (Yelp) refused to print their input. Chronic complainers were rewarded with eternal complaints and first time reviewers were rejected. Advice Media said that they could fix the problem and presented a strategy. We followed the strategy but when it did not work, they said there was nothing they could do. At that point I asked to be let out of the remainder of the contract. They refused. You could say, Caveat Emptor. I signed a year contract and I was stuck with it, but in truth we succumbed to hi pressure salesmanship and did not get what was promised. They gave poor service and when asked to go our separate ways because of it, they insisted on continued payment. My advice, when it comes to Advice Media, DO NOT SIGN CONTRAC WITH ADVICE MEDIA read more
