Title: $17,000 Spent. Zero Results. Deeply Disappointed. I rarely leave reviews, but I can't stay silent. I hired Disruptive Advertising to help grow my small business. I gave them my full trust--and it cost me dearly. Here's what happened:    *   I spent over $17,000 total including Google Ads.    *   They delivered zero leads.    *   The landing page was rushed, unprofessional, and full of errors.    *   Their strategy relied on basic Google suggestions, not advanced keyword research or AI.    *   Communication was poor and often dismissive. Nicole, in particular, argued with me over requests instead of collaborating.    *   When it failed, they offered a $900 credit--that's all. I canceled personal plans and vacations just to stay afloat. What I got was stress, health issues, and total disappointment. Disruptive talks a big game. Disruptive took over our Facebook and Google account for our brand we've had since 2010 and within a month of working together this is what occurred. - 20% Decrease in Revenue - 50% drop in Conversion Rate (Shopify) - 40% traffic from India (We sell to USA) - Google cost per conversion from $7 to $90! - Ads launched from 2018 with expired offers.. - 1 Line copy taken from our IG on all FB Ads.. - 0 Conversions from Google over a 3 day period. - No team replacement available (full capacity) - Back and forth after we fired them and no refund We gave them tons of info on our history of over 5 years advertising, demographics, access to all our data platforms, creatives etc and they did nothing with it. They are Disruptive. They will come in and tell you what you want to hear and then disrupt your business by tanking the performance and revenue. Their teams do not have the expertise, they will make tons of mistakes, they won't double check their work and they will be oblivious to what's actually occurring. Steer clear. read more

Just Typical. Spent over a year with Disruptive Ad Agency and they increased my cost per conversion 500% and charged my 2K to find another client. We went from $50 per CPA to $240 CPA They started out OK, that lasted about 6 months, but then the work got sloppy and slow. When we started, they would provide multiple creatives for us to review relatively quickly (a few days). Then that tuned into a few weeks. I cancelled at the end of the month, 2 days after the last charge. I requested that they keep the fee for those 2 days and then just refund me the rest. They said No (which I expected) when I asked why they said they need it for the off-boarding process which included sending me all of the ad creatives (which I never received) and to "Give us (Disruptive) time to replace that lost revenue". That email is attached. This is what typically happens, they throw resources at the project, they get some results, but when those results start to get worse, they can't pivot. 1 Poor ad platform competency I believe the team I was assigned was probably pretty low experience, spread too thin, or both. I've run my own Facebook ads for over a year now, on an account averaging 3.6 ROAS making a bit over a mil in revenue. The first month, my FB account was touched 4 times. Roughly once a week, 6 times on month two. Very few, experiments. Some very basic headscratchers... testing performance between 1%, 5%, 10% lookalike audiences, for instance. As a practice, they were stuck in the stone age using Adset level campaign budgets. Had never heard of Reach & Frequency campaigns. Frustratingly, there was little to no attempt to understand, learn from, or use the audiences and creatives I had spent hundreds of thousands to prove. Even after prodding. Google Ads was equally paltry in experiments. Only the most obvious of search terms and keywords were ever looked at. Disruptive managed to average 1.67 ROAS on FB with their campaigns, dropping to 1.47 ROAS in the final week I allowed them to access my account. Google, the average was 1.39 ROAS. trending toward 1.5 in the final weeks. The first round of motion ads... low in execution. Visual inconsistencies. Spelling errors, worst of all, unappealing. The second round of motion ads, some looked pretty decent! But were never was added to campaign. 2 the Weekly reports Each week, I'd hop on a call with the account manager. There was typically good news to be had. 25% increase in conversion rate on this ad set. Exciting momentum to be scaled. Increase in revenue by 24% in a week. I'd give some tips about how best to reach our customers. Promises of new ad creatives, to use my existing creatives. Sounds great, but it's not. This is my least favorite thing about this experience. but.... The reports were misleading. - I had to prod them to include their agency fees into the advertising budget reports. They were content to tell me my budget was fine while ignore their own rates. - Weekly Reporting of Ad account ALWAYS includes our own legacy campaigns, which were still performing nicely. - That 24% increase in revenue? Was a result of scaling of sub 2 ROAS ad sets up to drive more revenue. - Those promises? Never materialized. New creatives I paid for were never run. Nods to use my existing winning creatives not followed. Each week, despite the positive news, my bank account was dwindling. Fast. 3 Negligent account management Eventually, when my business could take no more I started poking into the account. As I mentioned before, here's where I discovered that increased revenue was due to scaling of unprofitable ad sets. Each dollar of revenue was causing me 15-20% loss Leaving failing ad experiments running. Sunsetting my high performing ads. 4 On my team? Who can say for sure, but my understanding is this. Disruptive truly believe given enough time they could have turned things around. But at what cost? They were willing to obfuscate the truth from their client to look good. They were choosing to not use my creatives and existing campaigns in an effort to justify their fees. They were kind enough to "release" me from a 6 month commitment. I believe given the chance the would have milked this for the full 6 months at my expense. Oh yeah, they are more than happy to then collect an additional month's management fees. Even though they are no longer working with my account. Zero skin in the game. Smart. The story book ending is that a single day after banning DA from the account, shutting down their adsets and spinning up a new creative myself, I'm riding 5+ ROAS and scaling up. read more

We've worked with them for years now.. and time and again, there was always an excuse for conversion being low. Time and again, we invested more, built new sites, updated sites, worked with their industry partners. Finally we hired them and spent well into 5 figures, for them to build a site on a platform they guaranteed was a better fit for our company. They built the site.. only for us to find out our manufactured products go against that platforms terms of service. So we have a new site, launched.. advertised to our customers, that we immediately have to shut down. It was a disaster. Their response to the disaster was further disaster. One person from this company did work hard to communicate. They are nice people, but our experience is night and day with the new company we hired. The worst agency you can find out there. We hired this guys and after 3 months their ROAS was 0.86X That means we lost a lot of money! After we asked them they tried to tell us our numbers were good and we were getting a lot of traffic! Now we get their ads on Facebook and noticed they removed the comments! That is a great way to to silence bad service. Stay away from this people who will definitely disrupt your business, just not in a good way read more

We engaged with Disruptive Advertising to take over our Facebook marketing campaigns. I work with a health and wellness eCommerce brand that's been growing through digital media. However, this review is just for their FB service. I can't comment on their AW or other services. We started working with them 3 months ago and the kick off call went great. They were confident we would be able to hit our target CTA goals and drive sales as we wanted. Month 1 -- setup retargeting and a few acquisition campaigns. All of them were not performing, but it is still early and remained confident we could turn things around. Month 2 -- retargeting starts to show signs of life, but all other campaigns are under performing. At this point I don't feel confident we'll be able to reach our goals and ask to terminate our agreement early, but they say no Month 3 -- as expected, never really hit any of our goals. After accounting for their management fee, we were in the significant hole, losing $X,XXX While the game of FB ads is a lot of testing and seeing what works, the main issue I had with Disruptive is after 3 months, they still couldn't beat our own internal ads performance we had before starting. Their ads were often fairly generic and lacked engagement. They felt 6 months behind the latest ad strategies. If you're reading this review, I would recommend to look into a performance based agency. Someone that is immediately tied to your success and only takes a success fee. I found that there's quite a few if you do a search on the Facebook Marketing groups. Another option is to just hire a freelancer off something like Upwork that bills hourly. read more

One of our company's major plan this year is to leverage paid ads to grow our sales on Shopify. We sold $5m last year through other online channels, so it's market proven products. But we don't have much history on Shopify sales, facebook ads or google ads. We carefully researched, screened and interewed 7 or 8 agencies, all of which are highly reputable, top agencies, and finally landed on Disruptive Advertising to manage our google ads and facebook ads. I came from a research background so I've always been pretty confident in my research and results. At the time of signing, it was a big relief to me and I thought I found a good partner that will - not to say take me to the moon, but at least grow the ad sales gradually. Instead of to the moon, it went straight the other way. And at the end of the first 30 days, and on the exact date of my 39th birthday, I had to terminate the engagment and their reactions shows no remorse for their poor performance. Here's the rundown of everything: After signing, there're only weekly sync up meetings. The first week is onboarding meeting, and meeting with the team. Week 2 is strategy meeting that's filled mostly with high level template slides, and Week 3 is streagy review with only 2 slides for the facebook ads (1 slide for really simple creative demos, and the other slide for campaign structure as their strategy). Their facebook ad strategy is so amatuer that they are proposing the same set of creatives for each funnel. After week 3, the facebook ad manager had some family urgent matter then just disappeared in communications. Personally, family comes first to me as well, and you have my understanding, my best wishes, my whatever. But professionally, isn't it the reason why I want to work with a big agency that your agency can absorb this kind of individual incidence, and not letting it affect your clients? At the end of the engagement, facebook ad strategy was never revised, hence never aproved. None of the facebook ads were run. And they rejected my request of refund. On the google ad side, that's where their 150-people-agency's business originally built on. My google ad manager said she had 9 years experience managing google ads. They should be good. So after waited for 3 weeks, although I still had concerns about their google ads settings, I was ready to give it a try - after all i naively thought we gonna start running ads and making big money from day 1, and by then it was already 3 weeks gone with nothing. We ran ads in week 4, and over the course of 8 days, it was $2k ad spend, with zero sales. To give you a benchmark, before signing with them, I experimented with google ads myself for three weeks, and I got $2.6k ad sales with $2.4k ad spend. They get ZERO. Then I got confused, is it the lack of expertise, or the lack of commitment? (there's nothing wrong with the website settings, they tested conversion trackings, and I had couple of organic sales during the same period). It's a quite remarkable result isn't it. I don't think any other agency that I interviewed before would be remotely close to achieve the same result with a $2k google ad spend. Disruptive Advertising is truly one of a kind, and I'm even prouder of my research skills now. The rest aren't much interesting anyways. I expressed my frustration and their senior team responded quickly and nicely, and offered to no longer have me bond to the 6 months contract, but rejected my refund request. They charged me $3,500 for the first month of facebook ad management, where they spent the first three weeks to develop the amatuer plan, and disappeared in the forth week. And charged me the same $3,500 for the first month of google ads management, which burned another $2k ad spend with zero, again ZERO ad sales. For those deliverables and performance, they gave me ZERO refund. I hope these experience and the price I paid would be educational to whoever's looking for the paid ads agency now. read more

They have very pushy sales tactics for a marketing company. They will make you sign an agreement, so that when it's not going the way they advertise or portray they can keep you locked in and paying. If you look around on google for reviews that cannot censor, you will find they may not be a good fit. They talk about a "ramp up" period even for me. I've got a very seasoned pixel with years of data. They use this as an excuse to lose your money. I highly recommend you check out all your options before looking at these guys. read more

We hired Disruptive Advertising in September 2019. Unfortunately we left another agency (Logical Positions) that we were very happy with, but was hoping we could do a lot better since DA set their expectations so high, talked a big game and led us to believe they could do way better than our former agency. Much to our dismay, we tanked as soon as we started with them. I understood that the changes would take time to grow our business, but after 2 months it was just getting worse. We let DA know that we were going to have to leave them and that our business was going under, due to their marketing. They still demanded their last months payment in December of $1500, even though they were not helping our business at all! When we had phone interview with them explaining this to them, they kept going off the real subject matter/problem. Since I own my business, I understand that if you can't help someone after you have talked a big game, you should not keep charging someone for business you aren't able to give to them. When I looked up DA and noticed the owner was LDS (Mormon), I got even more frustrated! I was raised LDS since I was a child and the values this owner has is not what he was taught as a child. Very unfortunate and very disappointing. Would never hire DA ever again! Since we left DA in early December, we have been doing our own advertising and our conversions have shot up 400%. If you want an honest agency, go with Logical Positions. They were always honest with us and there was no avoidance of problems from them. We still hire them for our SEO, but for right now, we have been doing our own advertising. I hired Disruptive Advertising in 2017 and I tried to review them back then, but they hadn't yet left a path of discontent for people to review. Now, it's my time. This is a completely legitimate ad review. JACE ROSS told me one lie after another about how his company was going to set up high converting google ad campaigns for my private criminal defense law practice. The biggest lie JACE ROSS told me was that the account rep assigned as primary on my account was experienced in my field and had done ads for professionals like me. Thre reality is that Linkedin showed that the rep had only been out of college for 7 months. When I talked to her, she freely admitted that she had never done a legal ad since she had been employed. When I confronted JACE ROSS he didn't have a response. BTW, That young lady no longer works for Disruptive. I guess they chewed her up and spit her out. Just look at Glassdoor Employee reviews and you'll see how they treat their employees. They are the best. I started doing PPC on my own and it did not get results. I realized I needed to get some professional help to take my PPC to the next level. I researched a few different companies but had a hard time finding anyone else with better reviews. My biggest concern was finding a company that could build and manage a campaign for my type of business and having it actually work. 1st I talked to Adam and he explained the benefits of having Disruptive as our advertising company. I liked their presentation they seemed to be honest & straight forward in their services. I was assigned Ashlynn as my account manager. She is my go to person for everything. She built my campaign and continually updates it as needed. Ashlynn really is the best I cannot say enough good stuff about her. She always available to answering questions and following up with request/changes that I requested. Manny built the landing pages and did a great job they look amazing. Describing Disruptive Advertising in Yelp's terms as "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" is an UNDERSTATEMENT in my book; I was more than thoroughly pleased with the overview of my AdWords account! You can tell a company knows what they are doing when they show in the first position on AdWords for PPC-marketing-related search terms. I clicked on the ad, was taken to their site and filled out the form for a Free Audit. Within the hour I was contacted by Daryl. Daryl asked me detailed questions about my business and tried to get an overall feel for what we are doing as a company. I informed Daryl that we may not be interested in purchasing right away so I do not want to waste his time on an audit if the outcome is we do not hire Disruptive Advertising. This was not a concern for him at all, he replied " we'll show you what we can offer you, and at the end of the day, if now is not the time, you'll walk away with some helpful tips on how to improve your AdWords account." We then scheduled the appointment and began the audit. To be honest, based upon the shared info of not being positive that we will be hiring Disruptive Advertising at this time, I assumed it would not be a thorough audit....BOY, was I WRONG! Daryl explained every nook and cranny of necessary improvements to be made to our account and how Disruptive Advertising can help...here's the kicker...WITHOUT the pressure to buy. That is so relieving to me. The thoroughness of his review really made me wonder why it is a FREE audit -- I believe it should be a paid offering because it is worth a ton of VALUE. When I came to this Yelp page, I was super surprised to not see endless reviews just like mine. Unfortunately, at this time we are not in a position to hire Disruptive Advertising, although the pricing is very fair and the value is huge. If ever in the future, we decide to switch AdWords account managers (myself), Disruptive Advertising will be our first pick! I am writing this review because as a PPC advertiser myself, I could not speak more highly of the short time I was able to spend with Daryl and my overall Disruptive Advertising experience. My intention is, if you are reading this review and you're on the fence about hiring DA, make the leap...from my short interactions, I can tell this company is doing wonderful things for their customers.
