I had two brand-new rear tires installed on my Hyundai Elantra at VIP Tires in Waterbury, CT, on…read moreSunday. By Tuesday, both tires were completely flat, and Valvoline's equipment couldn't even register the PSI. I had unknowingly driven the car for two days, including to work, putting myself at unnecessary risk of a tire-related accident. I brought my car to VIP in Londonderry, NH, where Allison and the installer were extremely thorough and professional. They explained that the valves should have been inspected and tested as part of the installation and quality-control process and quickly corrected the problem. I appreciate that Joe at the Waterbury location apologized when I called, but I feel this situation should have been taken much more seriously. Driving two days and then potentially 2 1/2 hours home with improperly installed new tires could have resulted in a serious accident. I hope VIP Waterbury reviews its installation and quality-control procedures to make sure this doesn't happen to another customer.

"Honest Anthony" Started my morning with a flat tire. I was…read moreable to fill the tire enough to get the car to Tony's when they opened at 7:30. I went in and told them what I needed. Within minutes, they had the car in the shop to get the job done. About 15 minutes later the mechanic comes into the waiting room to tell me that I was all set, "No Charge". I was confused at that point. He said that the bead wasn't sealed properly, which caused the slow leak. He cleaned the tire and rim, sealed it properly, and refilled the tire. They could have easily sold me a tire and I still would have been happy because that's what I expected. But Tony and his crew are an honest bunch of guys and that's why I always go there for tires.

I've never seen such a clean tire shop in my life and I work in the automotive industry. Gorgeous waiting area with comfortable seats, definitely did not feel like I was at a tire shop. I have never had to take a vehicle back for a problem with any work they have done for me. I recommend this shop as at least a place to get a first or a second opinion they have never suggested more than was needed and handled all work and repairs in a reasonable amount of time for a good price. Both a friendly and a busy shop which is a good sign that they are doing something right. P.S. This is a write up from a former A.S.E. certified Tech that has done their job as mechanic and manager and can check their work over even though I can no longer do the work and I recommend this shop.
