Willy Wonka, as he introduced himself, had the best customer service--he was polite, not pushy. And he was honest in answering our questions about price, delivery, and disposal of old furniture. When you see this store from the outside and even as you walk in, you'd think it cannot possibly compete with larger stores like Living Spaces or Ashley...BUT boy, are you in for a surprise! The furniture I purchased here had a label that is from Ashley Direct. And I'm pretty sure that Ashley Furniture would have charged me at least two times more than what I paid at Furniture Corner. They delivered on the same day, everything is new and unwrapped in front of you. The delivery crew in 2022 and 2026 were the same men. Really nice people. My 5 and 2 yo boys were being admittedly irritating in this store. (I mean, they're 5 and 2. Mattresses shopping.) But regardless, it was completely inappropriate for the sales associate to mutter under his breath (but plenty loud enough for me to hear), "These f***ing kids." Such a remark was especially appalling given how he'd just been telling us of his own children and grandchildren...so he's clearly met a child before. So of course I got extremely embarrassed, but decided to carry on. So a couple minutes later, when my kids started fighting (again, admittedly very irritating, but we were the only customers in the store so we're not exactly scaring people away), I grabbed my toddler and said "We need to go!" To which the sales associate exclaimed--with no subtlety--"Please!" He did not even say goodbye as we left the store. Needless to say, we won't be coming back to this store to buy the mattress we obviously still need. Mattress stores aren't exactly hard to come by--we will look elsewhere once we figure out our childcare situation.
