Stacy is awesome. She really knows what she is doing and truly an expert at her craft. In addition, she truly loves what she does and won't stop until your dress looks perfect. She was so flexible and willing to tweak my dress until it looked amazing. In addition, she puts in so much effort to get all the details right. I would recommend going to Stacy to get your wedding dress altered. Photos by Hannah Faye Photography

Stacy's work is so incredibly beautiful. I am just in awe over her attention to details and creativity. She is so friendly and patient. I have had her make me things and tailor many dresses for me. Every time I am so pleased with her work ethic. I have been a repeat customer and there is no one as talented in this area, she really knows what she is doing. Thank you so much!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Took my dream wedding dress here August 7th, almost 3 months ago, for some chest support, adding cap sleeves and she wanted to do a hem so I said fine. She postponed my second appt to TWO weeks later and when I went in nothing was done besides maybe 2 pieces of boning that she had done while my mom and I sat in the waiting room. I voiced my concern of the dress not being very far along, but she reassured me this was how the process goes. My next appt same exact thing, she ROUGH cut the bottom of the dress while I was there & there was maybe one or two more pieces of boning added to one side, again she reassured me this was ok and it was the process. My FINAL appt to try on and TAKE HOME she called me the morning of and said she had a family emergency and had to change my 11am appt to after 2pm, I said 5 pm is fine and asked her if my dress was complete, she said "yes Delaney your dress is complete!" At 4:30 she called again and told me that her family member was sick and she was unsure of what to do, I told her I could come grab the dress and she could go back to her family member, she said ok and hung up. Stacey called me right back and said she 'failed me' and that my dress was NOT done, I said Stacey you lied to me about a family member being sick and she said "yes, I did." 13 days from my wedding I am very upset. She told me everything on the entire dress was COMPLETE besides the cap sleeves, I said that was fine, I just go somewhere else to get those done and that I would be there at 5pm to get my dress. We walk into her shop, she goes to get my dress my mom said "her dress is complete right?" And Stacey said, "yes it's complete" she handed my dress to me in a wod and when I look at it it's COMPLETELY unfinished. She had done NOTHING since the second appointment. She had no explanation and was not apologetic what so ever. I'm now 11 days from my wedding, searching for a dress that fits perfect. I'm attaching a picture of the dress at a fitting and how it looked when I got it, completely destroyed. There were safety pins wrapped in fabric inside along with the front center being sewed up uneven & gross looking.

We brought my daughter's senior prom dress to this shop for alterations after hearing many positive recommendations. The dress was her dream prom dress and cost approximately $350. From the beginning, the owner mentioned that the requested alteration might be difficult due to the design of the dress. However, the shop accepted the job and never indicated that the alteration could not be completed successfully. When we picked up the dress, it had significant fit issues, visible puckering, uneven stitching, and multiple snags in the fabric. We returned immediately, and to their credit, the staff was kind and agreed to attempt repairs. When we picked up the dress for a second time, not only were many of the original concerns still present, but the dress had additional snags, pulls, loose threads, and further damage to the fabric. When I pointed out the condition of the dress, I was told that the material was very sensitive and that precautions had been taken while handling it. While I understand that some fabrics require extra care, the dress was returned to us in worse condition than when it was originally dropped off. Throughout the process, the owner was polite and not argumentative. I also appreciate that the shop refunded the alteration fee without hesitation. My disappointment is not with the customer service, but with the outcome and the lack of accountability for the condition in which the dress was returned. In the end, my daughter was left without a wearable version of the dress she had chosen for her senior prom. I am sharing this experience because I wish I had known beforehand that a delicate fabric and a more complex alteration carried a risk of significant damage. Had I seen a review describing an experience like ours, I would have chosen a different option for such an important dress.

Meeting her in person only confirmed it. She listened carefully to every single one of my needs and accommodated each one with such grace and care. My wedding dress is chiffon, and she created the most gorgeous custom bustle in the back that made it look beautifully layered and flowing. Beyond her extraordinary skill, she made me feel beautiful. She complimented me, lifted my spirits, and even took the time to teach me how to walk without tripping on my train. That kind of thoughtfulness goes so far beyond what any seamstress is required to do. After I picked up my perfectly hemmed, bustled, and altered dress, I had a small panic moment (actually, a major panic moment) when I realized the style looked slightly different than I remembered from when I originally ordered it from Anthropologie. I called Svetlana in a near meltdown, and without hesitation, she invited me to come in that very same day. Within 20 minutes, she had fixed everything flawlessly!! I was in disbelief!! Svetlana is a true miracle worker, and anyone who gets to work with her is incredibly, incredibly lucky. I will be forever grateful that she was a part of my wedding journey!!! Her advice saved me money and helped ensure my dress looks best for the big day, and I'm so grateful! I recommend coming to her if you need guidance on alterations needs! I brought Gabriel a designer suit that still didn't feel right after store alterations. He was pretty honest--said the best it could become was a 7/10--and then went to work. He adjusted the shoulders, chest, sleeves, lapels, which required him to move every single button. It was literally a completely different suit. And for the first time, it actually fit the way it should. Since then, I've gone back for five custom suits, multiple shirts, and my favorite, an overcoat (which I'd avoided for years because of off-the-rack fit issues). Every item has come out perfectly tailored. If fit has always been a compromise for you, it's worth seeing what Gabriel can do. Adding some photos, but I'm not a fashion/textiles photographer. It's harder than it looks.

My posture is very upright and that just makes the chest issue even more difficult. There aren't many places in the US outside of New York that do real bespoke -- patterns cut from scratch. I'm glad I found Gabriel. He has a great understanding of classic men's style and proportions. The suit he made for me is very comfortable and continues to get better as the canvas takes the shape of my body. I keep looking for areas to make micro improvements for my next project with him. But to be honest, the fit is so good I'm not sure there's much to change other than experimenting with other styles, like a double breasted. I plan on commissioning something from him every year as long as I stay in Washington. The super tight, short jacket with the bum exposed, with skinny lapels was trending for a while on off the rack clothing. Even some made to measure places make suits like this. If you are looking for a suit to wear for the next 10 years, I encourage you to give Gabriel a try and have him make something timeless for you.
