They put in my address wrong and the check for the screen door bounced back then they sent me on a wild goose chase around Pullman trying to find where to pick the check up from. I was told two different locations and then told to wait 30 minutes because the manager with my check was not actually where they said she was and ended up returning to the location I was at in the first place. Like I don't have things to do ?!!! They are the ones who told me I could come pick it up and they are the ones who messed up the address in the first place. Terrible.

It matches many of the complaints already in their reviews: Helene's is here to make money, not to support tenants. If you are considering renting through them, PLEASE: * Read through your entire lease -- every fee, every clause. * Look up Washington tenant laws (RCW 59.18). * Get everything in writing and save all receipts. * Document your move-in condition with photos and video. The company works strictly "to the fullest extent of the law," and as a tenant, that means you need to know your rights and protect yourself. With views of large portions of Pullman, being on the top floor and with rent as cheap as it was, I felt it was probably the best deal I ever got during my time as a student. What motivated me to finally write a review, however, was calling them out of the blue today, more than 3 years since I was last in school and 4 years since I was a tenant. I was in the need for a reference for a new place I am trying to get in Fremont but could not remember the address. When I told them my name, they remembered me and where I lived! That conversation was way more pleasant and way quicker than I every thought it would take. Unlike a lot of the other property managers in Pullman, these guys are on the straight and narrow, they seem to have good properties and take care of their tenants. If I return for grad school, I will happily return to Summit Realty for a rental and highly recommend anyone reading this to pursue property through them as well.

Hands down the best company i have rented from in years. Any move out charges they have are listed in their lease agreements and they urge you to take your time reading the lease before signing and asking questions to ensure you fully understand what you are signing. (At least this was my experience, and i fully read and ask questions, likely the same ones, each year) The staff has been very understanding and helpful to me. Nothing had been done. No cleaning. No walk thru. Nothing. So much so there were personal belongings from the previous tenants left behind in the home... everywhere. PLUS, a backed up toilet. (Incredibly unsanitary!!) Let's not even touch on what the exterior of the home looked like. After fixing multiple things ourselves, due to quickly learning that a response from Heidi or her team of "helpers" was not going to com, it was time for us to move out a year later back to our home state. We gave 4 months notice that we would still be paying the rent but would be moving 2 months prior to the ending of our lease. We were incredibly accommodating during showings that they hosted and left the home looking 10x better than we got it. Our lease was up, still heard nothing back from "My Rental Company" when we received a text stating we would have to pay to have someone mow the lawn AND fly back up to do a walk thru. This was also clearly stated in the body of the email which also, obviously, went unread. After we replied with an email pointing out the balance in our bank statement they retracted the co-signer requirement. I will say my wife and I made a typo in our application, listing 680 rather than 380 for the rental property we were interested in, however, they failed to reach out to us for clarification and did not make the connection that 680 NW Roberts was intended to be 380 NW Roberts. Which seemed obvious as that was their only available property on Roberts St. We were offered a lease for the wrong property with a lease date that began far outside of the timeframe we asked suggesting further that they neglected to read our application in its entirety. At the end of all of this we were looking to at least have our application fee refund but they were unable to issue a refund. Overall, we had an unpleasant experience. Their combination of incompetence and lack of communication is the reason why we are never going to do business with Windermere again.

There isn't much parking but its more than most places in pullman offer other than "apartment land"! I feel bad about the people complaining she has her own spot reserved, but she has a child with her and she works there so I don't see why she shouldn't have one! All their locations are also very affordable considering how close to campus they are. Overall, I would definitely continue to rent from them if I had not graduated and moved away from Pullman. The only reason I took a star off is due to the poor maintenance of the washers and dryers in the main complex.
