I wouldn't recommend the pedicures here which automatically cuts my review in half. Manicures seem fine but really vary on who you get. I can't say I'd be back, but if you skip the pedicure and get the right employee to do your manicure you would probably rate it as a 4 star shop.

The salon was clean and well lit, people were nice but my manicure didn't last from Thursday to Sunday. It came off in pieces, and by the end of the day the whole nail was left without polish. It seemed to 'lift' off. I don't know if it was the type of polish or the preparation of the nails but between a regular mani/pedi and tip, I spent almost $100. Today is Wednesday- not even a week- and I've had to remove all my polish. Perhaps these places specialize in tips and gels, perhaps on their menu where you book online they should specify a technician for basic, natural nail care. I can't be the only one in the Greater New Orleans area who gets a regular manicure ! BTW- this isn't my first time here- I went earlier this summer and a gentleman- I think the owner- did my nails and they lasted at least a week. But, I'm not sure I'll go back !

I was referred to this nail salon by my best friend, I am always really skeptical about going anywhere else besides the one person whom I trust to do my nails, but did not want to travel far from where I was, so I decided to give My PediSpa a chance. When I first got there, I signed in and there was one person in front of me, no one noticed I had came in after her so when the owner finally saw me, she was very apologetic and nice about it. I was reading a book so I did not mind too much. She was working on another client so she offered for me to come and sit in one of the spa chairs and put my feet up while watching television on my own personal flat screen that is located by each chair. I was still afraid of how my nails would come out. When it was my turn, I was offered something to drink, anything from water, tea, soft drinks even wine!!!!! To sum it up here, my nails came out absolutely adorable!!!!!! I love love love them and Mai was so nice!!! Prices are great and I will be going back again and again!!! Also they put neck warmers on you and have private rooms if you like. read more

If you are looking for a place where you feel welcome, this is it. This isn't an ordinary nail salon, either. The staff is very friendly and made me feel like an old friend. They offered me drinks, and a hot neck wrap. The scrubs are handmade and the decor is bright and inviting. I really like the fact that there is a reception area separate from the spa area, as well. It is more private that way, and people coming in off the street can't stand there gawking at you. I got a black gel topped with gold gel sparkles before the Saints playoff game. I had been to another place that said they couldn't layer. This took many coats to layer from heavy to light. Tia did a great job, and I got a lot of compliments on it. I have been getting my nails done over 30years. Being in the medical field and knowing about cross contamination. They are rate the best. They have their on autoclave machine for sterilizing their instruments. The people are very nice and professional. They offer hot neck warmers, wine, water, etc. It is a very relaxing salon. Julie E is being very unfair to this salon. Either she is a very unhappy person or just likes to complain. It was unfortunate that she got a staph, but she can not prove that it came from this salon. My Pedispa is extremely clean. Would highly recommend it to everyone. read more

I really enjoyed my service here. Kandis is amazing. I have really sensitive feet. She went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable for the whole service.
