WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was the most unprofessional and…read morefrustrating experience I have ever had in my life and I have moved a LOT. Not only was he late getting started, Samuel and his crew showed up unprepared and clearly did not know what they were doing. They continuously asked trivial questions on how to do their job and load up the truck. It took them 5 hours (from 10:30am to 3:30pm) to load up a 2 bedroom apartment and an additional 2 hours to unload the truck into our new home - with my husband's help! In the middle of packing, one of his guys asked if I had a Black n Mild and requested that I go "get him one". He also asked my husband once I declined. After we questioned him about loading one of our mattresses on the truck unwrapped (which is gross), Samuel then left and took an hour to get packing wrap for our furniture and mattress covers (which was supposed to already be included). Once we arrived at the house to unload - where my husband became part of the moving crew- the same guy asked if he could use our restroom and asked if he could go "#2". In the middle of moving!!! We had to ask them to re-ensemble our furniture but they did not follow instructions and 7 hours had already gone by. We also had to call several hours after they left to figure out where the missing pieces of our furniture was located. Additionally, Samuel left his cell phone and vape in our apartment, so I had to go back and retrieve it for him. When it came time to pay, he said that my husband's assistance was "optional", and he could only take off 2 hours from the final bill. He argued with me about the time it took for them to load the truck even though this should've only been a 4-hour job total. When I suggested paying them $400 - which is half of the price he THOUGHT he was going to charge us, he became aggressive and combative in his tone and still charged us $600. I am extremely dissatisfied and upset about the service we received and didn't want to pay him a dime. I will never use their services again. Although the men seemed like nice people, this was a horrendous job and poor business.

Everything started out great with Ever-ready Discount Movers until the actual move. It took 2…read moremovers 4.5 hours to move a small 1 bedroom apartment with limited furniture. I let the movers know the furniture I did have was real wood and therefore very soft and would need to be wrapped very well. That did not happen. They severely damaged over $1.k worth of furniture. The cabinet door on one end table was completely removed (no clue how that could even happen) and the hinges were nowhere to be found. On top of the damage the movers were completely unprofessional. I let them know I needed to step into another room to take some work meetings and they interrupted my meetings while I was mid sentence to yell questions at me that they could have figured out themselves. They didn't have tools on their truck to put my furniture back together and they left several boxes and items of furniture on my patio. They even turned one of my tables upside down on the concrete patio and threw their drinks and dirty napkins in the table like it was a trashcan. I contacted the owner and he was very understanding on the phone and even admitted the movers were not capable of doing the job properly and many other clients have had similar issues with the same movers. He told me he should have put someone else on the job to supervise and offered to refund part of the move but it has been over a week and I have not received a refund and the owner will not return any of my calls or texts.

During the move, however, they dented our fridge and at the time apologized and said they would have it fixed. Months went by and not only did they not fix it, they stopped responding to messages. Andrew Wise and Brett Moore are the most professional, well-trained, courteous, articulate young men you could ever meet....in any profession. We interviewed four different relocation services for our move and from the very first meeting, Andrew conveyed honesty, trust, and intelligence. Nothing was broken or forgotten or lost! Everything they did was with a smile, and they went the extra mile even after a 13 hour day. Please do yourselves a favor and hire them to pack your household. You won't regret it! By the end of the day I was told it would have to be Sunday instead. This created some significant problems but I was willing to work with them. On Sunday, I was told it was going to have to be moved to Tuesday. It just so happened that I was going to be out of town on Tuesday and couldn't receive the second part of the move. I was told that would be rescheduled at my convenience. The bulk of the move did actually happen on Tuesday. When the day came for the second part of the move to happen, which was only a bed and a grandfather clock, I got put off again, from Saturday to Sunday. And on Sunday, right at the end of the agreed-upon window, I got a call asking for more money to complete the job. I was informed that because of my inability to receive the second part of the move on Tuesday, I was going to have to pay more. No matter that I was available to receive it Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday if that had been an option. The delay was not due to any action on my part and was actually very stressful for me. Yet I was at fault for not being available on Tuesday at the second location. My big mistake was not reading enough reviews before hiring this company. Although they have some good reviews, and I have no doubt they can do a good job, several other people have reported having issues similar to what I experienced. Had I seen those accounts I probably would have looked for someone else to do the move. I do not recommend this company for your moving needs.

Marco worked with me over the phone and discussed all the variables involved in detail and explained the process and fees associated. The prices were extremely fair and confirmed the move. On the day before the move Marco once again confirmed the move and on the morning of the move they called to advise us they were on their way. They arrived on time and brought the larger truck as I had ordered since we have extra "stuff" with all my children. We had boxed everything ahead of time and had most of it in garage but not all. They had the garage loaded in about 20 minutes. I was amazed at how quickly and delicately they got our washer and dryer from upstairs down to the truck. Everything was loaded in under 2 hours as Marco had suggested in the quote. The movers made it to the new house without incident and were quick actually beating us in our cars. They got everything moved into the new house without any issues and couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. They wrapped the items needing it and taped up drawers etc... I'm sorry I do not remember the names of the crew that did the move but they busted their butts with all our "stuff" and handled everything as promised... thank you Marco and your staff!! We will use them in the future and I highly recommend them after our experience.

So disorganized in the packing , finding cleaning chemicals in with food products, costing me money to now replace food products. Then not labeling any of the boxes so a guess as to what is in the box. Loosing power cords to the couch having to dig around the shop to find them. Took a route to the drop off location that is not even along the way then claimed to be stuck at a train track for 30 min. ( the routes to take not one of them would put you on a train track at all ) I was charged for that time then charged for the time spent looking for items they lost. So over charged for the drive time and load and unload time both at least 3-4 hrs longer than needed. O and after telling them how a particular item was to not be broken they broke that item by not packing it with care. Highly disappointed in this service. When I let the owner know his response was "did they brake anything?" , gave 0 concern of the fact that they overcharged. I do not recommend them at all. So being in the military for almost 20 years now and having had to move over 8 times this is by far the worst company I have ever used for a move.

After a short text, Tony got back to me quickly and we scheduled our move within a week! Honestly, we didn't even reach out to any other moving company because Tony was so responsive and came so highly recommended. His pricing is clear and up-front. $150 per hour for a truck and three (kind, professional, caring, strong, and personable) moving guys from his crew. We budgeted for four hours and ended up getting the whole job done in under three! But that isn't to say these guys rushed--not at all, actually. They're super efficient and strong-- all of our furniture was prepped, moved and packed onto the truck with care. All furniture was secured with padding or plastic. The crew was mindful of wood floors and navigated some heavy and bulky furniture with ease! We did move a flat-screen, 55" TV. Tony was a pro at dissembling it, packing it perfectly and with care, then reassembled it when it got to our new home. In fact, he stuck around with his guys to be extra sure it was all put back together and ready to be plugged in! Once we were all done, Tony had our invoice emailed before he even left our home. We paid online via credit card. The whole process was simple and easy. As a local, independently-owned business, First-In's commitment to care, quality and community was evident at every step. As first-responders in Dallas, these guys want to take care of you during your move. We're so happy we trusted them to move us into our new home and hope you will, too! :)
