I love quilting when I have the time. I moved to the area mid-2020 but hadn't managed to stop in…read morehere until today when I brought my mother-in-law along (who's visiting from California). What an excellent little shop! Much more intimate and less distracting than going to Joann's or another big box store. The little place was loaded with all sorts of great prints that I certainly haven't seen elsewhere. I quickly loaded up my hand with 14 different fat quarters, dreaming of projects that one day may or may not come into fruition. Such is the way! What I especially liked was the old school furniture tucked away in places throughout the store. I saw a couple of old Singers with their lovely polished wood, and they made excellent use of old cubbies for letter sorting. I'm a mild antique buff (rubbed off on me from my dad and his mother) and appreciate when something old finds a new home and use. The cubbies were filled with 4x6 postcards of fun quilts you could try, with the design on the glossy front and the instructions on the back. I believe these were free of charge, to help give customers inspiration. Too neat! There was an ample selection of colors as well as more exciting fabrics. Many floral designs and stately or muted tones of browns. Definitely good for finding a fabric to coordinate with but not detract from your main piece. I picked up a couple of plaids, which are always useful. There was a seasonal section (currently loaded with Christmas fabrics) that I imagine likely rotates throughout the year. There was a sale section for bolts that were running low, and cheapo $5 baggies of various fabrics that mix well. There was a section with felt and a small amount of flannel. Lots and lots and lots of bagged/boxed sets to choose from that have everything you need for a particular design (not my cup of tea-- designing my own piecing is highly satisfying to me). You'll also find other helpful items like thread, buttons, cutters, and the like. A space in the back with a large table for various lessons/classes (looked like there was one going on while we were browsing, but I didn't want to disturb them). There is a restroom available for customers as well.

They seem to have a great selection on materials and supplies for sewing. The workers were very…read morehelpful.

A lovely little quilt shop built into an old home. I adored their cozy front porch area with…read moreoutdoor seating (it's where my father-in-law spent all his time reading while my mother-in-law and I were inside browsing, LOL). Fabrics of all colors and patterns are packed into here, on shelves or even pews, making for an enjoyable browsing experience. They also sell plenty of other useful items/tools for quilting. Many gorgeous quilts hang from the walls above your head, serving as inspiration. If you're looking for inspiration, they also sell tons of pattern/instruction sets, as well as fabric bundles that have the exact right amount of fabric already enclosed. I always like to make my own patterns, but they had a great variety of them at different challenge levels. Everything was reasonably priced around $12/yd. What impressed me most about this shop was its employees, who were very friendly and affable. Their interest in chatting you up about your on-going projects and the like felt genuine, not just a customer-service schtick. The proprietor even showed me her "long arm" machine in the back room, which she had set up actively stitching away on a massive quilt, laying out a stunning stitched pattern. Really neat getting to see it in action! There is also a nice bathroom inside the shop (and more quilts to admire while you go, haha!). Glad to have found this place! We don't get out to Wimberley too often (from Buda), but for sure now that I know it's here, we'll stop in next time we venture by.

I found some things I wasn't looking for, but that I needed and wanted. I saw beautiful pieces I wanted just for myself, like separate or broken jewelry pieces--a clasp here for a necklace or a link for a watch. Also, I recently picked up an old knitting habit and wanted to replace some old yarn. It was nice to see an area dedicated to yarn, other crafts, and other hobbies. I can say I really got lost inside the store, discovering so much. I saw some frames to purchase to make a gallery wall. So, I will say this: if you need to revise a place or restock on some office supplies, please come here. Or if you just need some ideas on creating a space in your home, come here; it's a place where anyone can get a lot of ideas and inspiration.

Nope. Did they have a lot of fun. YUP. Depending on where you are coming from its up the hill right as you enter hill country off of 290 from south austin. If you are coming from the west off 290 its headed towards south austin about 20min from Dripping Springs a few min past Belterra strip mall food area. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating on a Sunday around 12noon ish Thanksgiving weekend. No time limit on doing your chosen art. I tried glass making for the 1st and it was fun and challenging l. Instructions by the staff very useful! Friendly. Helpful. Welcoming. We each chose something different. Plenty of items small, med or large to chose from. Pottery comes with whatever pain you want, glass area there are easy and complex projects. You pay, they fire/bake the pieces and you show up about a week later to grab your pieces. We each got something around 40.00 or under. Time flew by. We were there for maybe 2.5hrs. My teens were not on their phones once. Engaged, creative, good family time. Come visit, bring a friend, spouse/partner, day date, just yourself. Thank you for having this space for folks to be in the moment and creative with things that open their mind, heart and soul
