What an excellent little shop! Much more intimate and less distracting than going to Joann's or another big box store. The little place was loaded with all sorts of great prints that I certainly haven't seen elsewhere. I quickly loaded up my hand with 14 different fat quarters, dreaming of projects that one day may or may not come into fruition. Such is the way! What I especially liked was the old school furniture tucked away in places throughout the store. I saw a couple of old Singers with their lovely polished wood, and they made excellent use of old cubbies for letter sorting. I'm a mild antique buff (rubbed off on me from my dad and his mother) and appreciate when something old finds a new home and use. The cubbies were filled with 4x6 postcards of fun quilts you could try, with the design on the glossy front and the instructions on the back. I believe these were free of charge, to help give customers inspiration. Too neat! There was an ample selection of colors as well as more exciting fabrics. Many floral designs and stately or muted tones of browns. Definitely good for finding a fabric to coordinate with but not detract from your main piece. I picked up a couple of plaids, which are always useful. There was a seasonal section (currently loaded with Christmas fabrics) that I imagine likely rotates throughout the year. There was a sale section for bolts that were running low, and cheapo $5 baggies of various fabrics that mix well. There was a section with felt and a small amount of flannel. Lots and lots and lots of bagged/boxed sets to choose from that have everything you need for a particular design (not my cup of tea-- designing my own piecing is highly satisfying to me). You'll also find other helpful items like thread, buttons, cutters, and the like. A space in the back with a large table for various lessons/classes (looked like there was one going on while we were browsing, but I didn't want to disturb them). There is a restroom available for customers as well.

Wendy and Chris did a phenomenal job helping me create the perfect suit for my wedding. I appreciated the wide selection of fabrics and prints, buttons, and different ways of tailoring the suit. So far, Rob, Jim and the Oh Boy! team are my favorites. I emailed them for a quote on some tshirts for our new business and our kickstarter rewards. They replied promptly with detail on tshirt options and pricing. Their pricing is super clear and transparent. We then met with them in person to ensure we could get them the layout the way they needed and so it was perfect for us (did I mention I'm incredibly type A and putting my life savings into starting my business?). While we were there in person we decided to choose another shirt because we preferred the feel and look in person and Rob explained that the wording would print better in terms of location versus the v-neck we originally chose (and he was right). Of course I didn't ask if there was a price difference from our original quote (because I was just too excited about pretty tshirts) and when I got our invoice to approve and asked about the difference, they explained we choose a higher quality shirt that was ever so slightly more expensive (minimally per shirt but when you have a large order it makes a difference. Also, remember life savings here). Here's the kicker ... because I got confused on the pricing (totally my error, remember I said they really are transparent with their pricing), they matched my original price anyways JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME. So yes, my own mistake and misunderstanding, but they adjusted because they wanted to be nice. That's a lifetime business partner in my book. In addition to t-shirt printing, we needed some director chair canvas backs screenprinted and they handled them like pros. We were nervous since these chairs aren't cheap and our timeline leaves no room for error. They got our entire job done from start to finish in around 2 weeks and most that time was me confirming things as well as waiting to get our chair backs to them. The shirts look flipping amazing and I'm proud to have them represent my brand new business. I will definitely be using them for any of my screenprinting and tshirt printing needs from here on out.
