I called my husband as soon as I left, just to vent on how absolutely rude every single of one those employee's were. It makes sense given the owner isn't any different. They're all so stuck up and snooty. I brought in SO many new clothes and they didn't take hardly anything. I even took the time to nicely fold everything in sets and pairs, and make everything as nice and presentable as possible per their guidelines. I'm very particular myself on what I think is acceptable for used clothing when shopping for my son. I would have gone to goodwill if I felt it was necessary. I will be shopping at Peppypotamus from here on out until this place gets a new set of faces. This store's energy is so unwelcoming. I love to shop at this little store! I know there are some bad reviews so I have to chime in to give my experience. I have been going to this store for years and years. I think you have to go into it with an open mind and not be looking for anything specific as there is no guarantee on inventory but if you go here often, like I do, you are sure to walk away with little surprises that are such a great deal! AND the ladies at the register are always so friendly. If you're looking to make a huge amount of money please sell your stuff yourself as they have to make money here too. Keep that in mind.... But I always take in things that we are done with and just happy with whatever trade $ they give me as I am always able to find something. It's clean, it's budget friendly, and it's go a variety of baby clothes/gear. They also have various sales throughout the year, so it's just a nice place to shop. The staff are helpful and honest. The good: There's a decent selection of toys, clothes, strollers, etc. here. The day I was in the store, the music was church choir music. It felt like I was forced to be indoctrinated into a religion in order to shop here. The music was like nails on a chalkboard bad - I couldn't wait to get out of there. I don't think that overtly religious music is appropriate for a general clothing store - it might appeal to some people but turn off many other non-religious people like me - and there are a lot of us. If the owner isn't going to acknowledge the customers anyway, she might as well put on the religious music through some headphones. The store is so crammed that it almost feels claustrophobic. If there's a few people in there then it's hard to really move around in there and they'll probably be in the way of the section you want to be in. It's a very "concentrated" store. The owner doesn't acknowledge customers at all. The only person who does is the cashier who is there to take your money. I don't feel welcome here. I had a much better experience when I left to go to St Vincent de Paul, where they said "hi" as I walked in the door, it wasn't crowded, and the clothes were at least as good for the same or less money. It's a shame because I want to support local businesses but this one needs some guidance to make customers feel welcome. read more

I'm not even sure how to describe our experience at the store today, SHOCK comes to mind. My two Daughters and I visited this store mid afternoon today with 2 bags of like new baby clothes and 4 new Mom baby accessories. One was a $199 nosiboo pro electric Nasal Aspirator, a KeaBABIES REVIVE 3-1 postpartum recovery belt, a Papablic travel bottle warmer ( all new in box). The front desk gal middle aged and quite tall informed us that she doesn't normally take bags but will take them this one time. She commenced to go through all of the FOLDED NICELY clothes and pick out items. Once she was done she offered my Daughter $56.00! In store credit. I offered up that the aspirator alone was a high priced item ( she argued with me about my knowledge of what the item was worth) and I suggested to my Daughter that we keep the items and sell elsewhere. This is where things get unprofessional .My Daughter agrees that we will keep the items at which time this person literally grabs handfuls of the clothes and THROWS them in the bag! Crumples up the paperwork my Daughter filled out and said word for word "thanks for letting me go through your trash! Then she storms into the back room! Mind you these baby clothes were in like new condition no stains etc! There was another older Lady in the store with short Grey hair who said to her, "I know, it's okay just calm down" so I can only assume these two were in some way related as I cannot fathom for the life of me any Business condoning this type of behavior period. From now reading this Stores reviews I see a pattern of bad customer service. If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. Consumers BEWARE of this particular shop, you won't be treated kindly. I always have good luck finding great items for my girls here! I've been shopping here for about 3 years. The staff is always very kind and friendly. The whole shop is super clean. Dropping off trades is quick and painless. I love the new layout/organization they recently upgraded to. So much easier to find and access things. Yes, the store is very small, but all the space is utilized well and labeled. I always find great things every time I go. Recently I met the owner. She was very polite, helpful and caring. Even when my 14 month old was melting down. (I was surprised to read some of the other reviews when I came to write this). She went out of her way to be helpful and work out a deal so I could afford something. I truly appreciate that, thank you! I'm excited for their new app to track purchases and rewards. I had a run in with the owner today. I took two item in to sell or consign. A bassinet that connects to your bed for safety. Almost 280.00 new and used 3 times. So clean and nice the sales woman asked me if it was ever used. I also had a saucer that needed to be wiped down. Value about 100.00. I was asked to put them together, I did. Then the owner came in to price. A customer was watching because she thought she might like it. Owner offered me 60.00 told. I declined and took my stuff outside to disconnect and put in my car. When the customer came outside I asked her if she wanted to by it. She jumped at the chance to get it for 40.00. Owner came out and asked the woman if she was done shopping. She said yes, and the manager said " your done for good " and walked inside. Mad because she didn't get to rip us off. Will not be back. read more

The only reason this one star exists is because of the sweet employee working with the owner. Alice is awful. Treating her patrons as though they are the scum between her toes...she should probably let her employees be the face of her business. Not only did she make me feel ridiculously stupid about asking how their business worked(as I had a car full of items to bring in) but when she offered me $27 total (store credit and 50% of that if I wanted cash)for all of the items I brought in, one of which being a $250 babybjorn bouncer that I used for 10 months, I asked for it back because of how much it costed...she immediately snapped at me telling me "I know how much they cost" and "well it looks super dingy and gross. Is that the color it's supposed to be? What is that? Brown?" Yes, Alice. That is the color brown. She then proceeded to LOOK IT UP ON HER PHONE BECAUSE SHE DID NOT BELIEVE ME THAT BROWN WAS A COLOR THEY OFFERED!!!! After finding out very quickly these brown was, in fact, a color they offered...she changed her mind and tried to offer me $40 cash because they would charge $80 for it. Being extremely insulted and starting to feel really weird about the whole thing I asked for my babybjorn back and she aggressively shoved it back into my hand and jammed my thumb. When I said "oh...ouch, that was unnecessary" she said nothing...handed me my 13.50 and without looking at me told me to have a good day. Well Alice....I hope these reviews show other customers of yours that you are the absolute worst person to be "taking care of customers" in your own business. It's very clear that you are tired. So once again, you should probably let your poor employees be the face of your business. I feel sorry for the girls that work for you and I hope if any of you read this...just know that there is other work out there for you and you deserve to be treated better. I've been in a few times and haven't been very impressed. I'm not sure why I keep going back. Lack of options in town, probably. I haven't had rude experiences nor have the employees been friendly. They're just there. Pricing seems hit or miss, I assume that different people price the items. I found a great Kickee footie for $5, which is cheap, right next to a random Carter's footie for $5.95- which makes no sense. Quality is also hit or miss. I don't feel like they take fade/wash wear into account when accepting items. Additionally, the organization in the Coburg store is horrid. It took me two visits to even find the pajamas, as they are on a separate rack rather than by size/gender. You can't bring a stroller in because there isn't room.. actually, probably best not to bring your children in either. Actually, probably best to just skip the store altogether. read more

They only took like 20 things from my 4 huge totes of baby clothes. Mind you I had already taken 6+ other totes of different clothes to goodwill, which were anything that was stained/worn out/ old fashioned.So all the clothes I brought there were the best of the best brands and condition. It's a great place to get secondhand baby items. It's hit or miss since they don't select their inventory, so I find going with a vague idea of what I want or checking back often is the best approach to finding good deals on items. It's nice to get store credit for things that would otherwise just go to good will. Minus one star because it can be frustrating to take back items that I bought there and used maybe once or twice (or not at all) only to be told they don't take that brand or that the quality isn't good enough for them to take. Overall though, it's a great way to get reasonably priced baby items. And frankly the employees are way more patient than I would be when customers freak out at them because they aren't happy with the trade-in credit they are offered or are dissatisfied with what items are acceptable trade ins. read more

Very helpful over the phone. I love coming to these stores every week to see what the deals are. They also will post items on their Facebook. I find the prices very reasonable! The used stuff is always in great condition. I'm not sure what some yelpers expect (?) Great place for a little one too. I love this store! I have been shopping here for the last four years and have had nothing but positive experiences. I alway find cute things for my girls at prices that are nearly half of what regular retail would be. I love how they have expanded their new items while keeping a great selection of high quality pre-owned items. I often shop for other family members here because they don't have anything like it where they live and are amazed at what I find here. I have found the sales girls to be friendly and helpful. Most recently Brittany help me find a hard to find item I had been searching for. I was so excited to finally find it. I love her bubbly, positive personality. Inventory is not bad but customer service is really awful. The two gals at the desk (one was the owner) were really unfriendly and "snooty". I really felt like I wasn't welcome and when I had questions I felt like I was "bothering" them. I was hoping I had just caught them on a bad day and visited the store again a couple of weeks later but it was the same. I asked about the price of a diaper bag because it wasn't tagged. After she told me and I decided against it, she acted as if she (being the owner) was offended. She told her worker to put it back on the rack quickly because "at that price it was gonna sell in no time". I love to support local businesses and I was really excited to visit this place but being treated like my patronage was not only unnecessary but a nuisance has made be decide that I will not be returning. Great children's consignment store if your kids are in newborn to 3t clothes but the older kids sections are very lacking. Prices are a bit higher than other consignment stores but they only sell good quality items (Melissa and Doug!) and for kids clothes, the lowest brand I've seen there is Faded Glory. The store offers a bag sale every now and then where you can fill a paper bag with clothes for $25. Once a month they offer a "25 cent sale" where you can dig through 10-12 bins of low quality clothes, you'll generally find a few nice gems though or stock up on play clothes for cheap. The staff at the Division/River Road store is the best, Coburg road lady is okay but generally unhelpful, super excited to see what the new South Eugene store will bring! read more

At this point I am irate. I posted a review on their Facebook page and it was deleted after I had complained about the terrible service I had received at the division location in Eugene. I have been going to my little children for three years now and have gotten 40+ people through their doors who normally wouldn't give their business the time of day. I went in there today with a box of name brand clothing and shoes. Two pair of of three were in boxes. They had never been open or worn. Each pair cost $40 new and the person in charge told me that I would receive 40% of whatever they sold it for. Well when they sell button ups for $6-$10 a piece and beat up shoes for $10, I think it was fair to assume I would get more than $3 for each pair of shoes I brought in. Not only did the lady not price things fairly, she took apart outfits and took only the jackets of them so I can no longer sell them as full outfits. She took several name brand jackets shirts and shoes and somehow I ended up with $27 in store credit. I had four outfits I wanted to purchase and I ended up having to spend $14 over the $27 credit I got in store. This company thrives off ripping people off. I can buy brand new clothing for half the price of the things they sell. I'm extremely disappointed in this business. They will no longer be a place I recommend nor will it be a place I give business to. read more

Overall Horrible experience and most likely will not return. I went in to trade some baby clothes which I have gone to do before and this time one of the ladies working was extremely rude. Although I have been there before nobody told me to bring my trades in a box so of course I didn't know that bringing it in a bag was not ok. The woman (seemed to be a manager maybe) who was processing my clothes rudely said " I will look through it this time but next time bring in a box because this is almost like a garbage bag and easily tilts over while I'm looking through it " which was totally understandable but could've been said in a calmer, nicer voice. She made me feel like a burden. As I looked around for clothes all three employees stood behind the desk and didn't help anyone shopping. I could've easily used some help finding 3T clothes but did not ask because of the rude encounter earlier. I traded in a bunch of my son's clothes a year ago and had a credit that expired on 6/13/16(which I didn't realize since who puts an expiration date on credit for clothes that I GAVE to them?) On 6/19/16 I went in and after looking at the credit voucher and realizing that it had an expiration date I asked the gal that was running the store if they would still be able to honor it. She shrugged and said she would call her manager. She walked into the back room and a second later(not seemingly long enough to to dial a #) came back and said that she wasn't able to reach her manager and that she didn't feel comfortable honoring it because it might get her in trouble and then she just walked away...wtf? Worst customer service ever. And that expiration policy is terrible. Had I realized that was a thing (when I traded in the clothed the woman helping me failed to mention an expiration date) I never would have handed over the bags of clothes to them. Get rid of that policy and train your staff better. Otherwise, say goodbye to your customers. read more

Well after 3 children and almost 10 years of shopping here I am done. I have had with the rude employees acting like they are doing me a favor. I have put up with it because they have offered good quality used items in the past but the last few times I have been there it is not the case anymore. The quality and selection have been terrible. The river road location did have a nice lady running it for awhile but I haven't seen here lately. Now they are rude and not helpful. The trade in credit is just not worth my gas anymore way to low and I had a hard time finding things I wanted. Faded, out of style clothes. The summer shoes were in a big tub you had dig your way thru to find matching pairs. Even the second had stores do a better job at setting up merchandise. It's just not worth it anymore. read more

My experience with My Little Children has been a dismal one. I consigned items with the owner, Alice, who agreed to pay me 60% of the sale price of those items. Over the course of the year, I went into the shop to replenish her inventory with my products, and to pick up any money from sales made in the last quarter. ONE time, I received a $58 payment. Every other time I went in the shop, 3 times over the course of 6 or 7 months, none of her employees were able or knew how to pay me the money I was owed for sales. In the meantime, I noticed sales were good and my products were disappearing off the shelves...but when I asked to look at the books where they kept track of sales, no one had been writing down the products that were selling. I finally got tired of not receiving money for my products, and emailed Alice to let her know I would be pulling my items from her store. She was conveniently not in attendance when I came in to pick up my items, which means that I was not paid what was owed to me. By her ill-kept record keeping, it was about $60 that she owed me. Based on the items I picked up, she had sold 40 of my products in the last year and owed me over $250. She has refused to answer my phone calls or the email I sent her regarding what she owes me. I asked her kindly to send me a check....no response. Aside from being a horrid business owner who rips off her clients, she is outright rude with her customers. Incredibly disappointed in my first and now only experience with this store. A new employee told me incorrect information and didn't fully explain how their buying/resale works. When I went back to use my credit the owner wouldn't honor what her employee told me and could have cared less that her employee gave false info. The excuse was she was new. That's fine, but you should still honor what she has advertised as allowed. If there had been any compromise or customer service at all on their end I would have tried them again.
