I tried so many different places, types of glue, and lash brands and nothing really seemed to fix the reactions I was having. I don't think it was the fault of any specific place or experience I had. All that said, I gave lash central a shot, and I felt like I didn't have a big reaction for the first time in a long time. I was a little irritated, but again I don't think it had anything to do with lash central, it was more of a me issue. At this point, this is probably the only lash studio in Riverside I would visit.

Over time, I started noticing a pattern that made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. No matter how many lashes were actually applied, I was always charged the same price. On one visit, I specifically requested a lighter, less full set, assuming the price would reflect the reduced amount of work. Instead, I was charged exactly the same as always. On my most recent appointment, my lashes weren't even filled in completely. Within less than two weeks, I had experienced so much fallout that I already needed another full fill, which has never happened to me this quickly. The quality simply wasn't there. To make matters worse, when I decided to have them removed instead of paying for another fill, I was charged $22 for removal. After being a regular customer for an entire year, it would have been nice if they had offered that as a courtesy, especially considering how poorly the last service turned out. What upsets me the most is that I was always kind, respectful, and loyal. I never complained or caused problems. Looking back, I feel like because I didn't speak up, my loyalty was taken for granted. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I do expect consistency, fairness, and appreciation for repeat customers. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed, undervalued, and honestly taken advantage of. I hope management takes customer loyalty more seriously because this experience has completely changed my opinion of the salon and I don't think I will ever return now.

I sent them pictures of what my lashes looked like 48 hrs after getting them, but they claim that the tech told me that she couldn't do my lashes because of a gap. This was my first visit there, if this was their recommendation why would I proceed anyway in place new to me? I asked to speak with Tanya the owner on day 2, day 5, and again today, but was told by the receptionist that she's the only one who handles customers' complaints. Keep your money and go to a place with business integrity, great customer service, and awesome professional skills. I explained to Kristin, even if there was only a gap or 2 in my lashes...how does she reconcile the fact that my lashes are 90% gone and "today" is day 10 since my service. That's not because of gaps, that's because of poor technique. I told her that this is a horrible way to do business and when I told her that I was writing my experience in this review, she hung up on me. There will be no way for these lashes to fall out naturally because essentially she created one big strip of a lash by adding so much glue across the top. I can't even comb/brush through them. I've had cluster lashes many times and never have they been glued on in this manner. I like that they are even but that's about it. The lashes also stick straight out. They don't curve like the shape of a natural lash. There's nothing classic or natural about this set. I texted the same number that scheduled my appointment about my experience and there was no response. But when I texted to schedule an appointment they were prompt.

Several weeks later, I finally made an appointment, and I was not disappointed! Maria was warm and welcoming, and made me feel at home. She had a lovely scent enveloping the treatment room (an aromatherapy diffuser, I believe), and she started by having me take a few deep, relaxing breaths so as to better receive the full benefits of the treatment. The treatment itself was soothing and wonderful. Afterwards, Maria did not once try to sell me on future services or on expensive products. She asked only if I'd like to make my next appointment then, or if I'd prefer to call when I was ready. She gave me samples of product, but didn't hype them, tell me I "should" be using them, or try to push them on me in any way. I've been to other salons and spas where everything is very sleek, the employees are highly groomed and made up, and there is an air of elitism (the other side of that coin is the air of tacit disapproval if one doesn't buy a line of products or immediately schedule another appointment). Maria and her clinic are nothing like that. Not only is Maria a down to earth and pleasant person, but she is also a talented esthetician who clearly loves what she does, and is motivated by the desire to help people.
