After the audiology intern completed the hearing test she said she didn't have time to fit me for hearing aids even though when I made the appointment I had told the scheduler that I was coming for a hearing test and hearing aids I waited in the waiting room until the intern saw her next client and then she fitted me for the hearing aids. Since I didn't have coverage for the hearing aids she said the price for highest technology was $6100. I opted for next level down at $5100 and I would have to pay at that time. When I went to pay at the front desk I was told that I could pay when I picked the hearing aids up and that Dr. Curtis sometimes gets better prices. A few days later I discovered that my insurance DOES have a hearing aid discount plan (through AARP). AND that Rocky Mountain Hearing and Balance are one of the AARP providers. Bottom line, I could have gotten the hearing aids for about $3600 instead of $6100 but they failed to let me know about this - even though they were aware of my insurance benefits. After purchasing top level technology hearing aids from a licensed audiologist for a couple of thousand dollars less at the University of Utah I emailed Rocky Mountain Hearing and Balance to let them know why I did not return to pick up the hearing aids from them. They failed to acknowledge or respond. ***addendum - A few weeks later, after taking the time to investigate the issues and speak with staff, Chris Curtis responded to my email with a thoughtful, kind apology. If I hadn't already purchased hearing aids from the University of Utah I would have returned to this practice. The staff are warm and friendly and seem to genuinely like working there. I have changed my rating from one star to four despite the problems I had, which as it turns out were unintentional.

We thought our vacation was ruined. I wasn't optimistic, but I checked on Yelp to see if there might be an audiologist anywhere in the valley working on Saturday. I was hoping for a miracle. And I found one! Dr. Young answered the phone, asked us to send over a picture of the devices, and said he'd be happy to try and help. And he was only 9 minutes from the house we were renting! We drove to his house, with tubing, super glue, and skill - he fixed the hearing aid, and our family vacation was saved. We are so very grateful.

If you offer x-ray service on a weekend it should be read on that same day! Never experienced anything like this in my life. This Dr is happy to take your money for no actual result. I sent the pic of my son's wrist to my sister in law who is a Rad tech in California. She and her coworkers were appalled that an x-ray of the entire hand was taken and not focused on the wrist. Even the techs here are a joke. Utah healthcare is the absolute worst. Going to another facility where the radiologist actually does his job.

Everywhere I went to find hearing aids tried to up-sell me a $3,000 to $7,000 hearing aid. I don't need all the bells and whistles in a hearing aid but I did want hearing aids that were small, lightweight & practically invisible. At house of hearing was treated like family, I found exactly what I wanted (Resound brand hearing aids that included the bells & whistles) for just $300 out of pocket plus what my insurance would cover and absolutely no pressure. Not only that, I received SEVERAL FREE follow up visits which included continued training & cleanings!

IMO, avoid this place unless you have an urgent need or script from an ENT and can't procure elsewhere.

I have been to this nurse practitioner for well over 10 years. When I was seeing Jody, I loved her…read moreand got very close to her. She started having students there, and since then I have maybe seen her once in five years. I have been on the same medication's for half my life. Same dose, no issues. Jody and the students would write my prescriptions for a year because I travel a lot and I don't have access to American medical so it's important that I refill six months at a time so that I can travel without worry. While on the road, many miles from home, I went to get my refill at a Walmart and Dr Stubler had CANCELED all of my prescriptions. Of course it left me frantic because I need these medication's to survive. I called her office over and over and the receptionist kept saying she would call me back, but I never ever got a call back. I gave it another shot and called again and the receptionist said "Oh, I told her to call you. She canceled your prescriptions because she wants to see you more than once a year and now she wants your lab work". Im traveling. I can't just run into her office. After the prescriptions were already written for a year, Jody called and canceled and left me stranded with no medication far away from home. I am not on any narcotics or controlled substance. She canceled the prescriptions with no contact, no communication whatsoever, to tell that she was going it or why. I would have paid the office a doctor visit if they wanted my money but really dangerous to put someone on medication and then just take it away. During the time that she cut my prescriptions off, I also had a house fire and was displaced along with a family. Worrying about my medication that keeps me alive on top of it, was one of the worst times in my life. No doctor should write you a prescription for a certain amount of time and then just decide to cancel it halfway through without even telling their patient. The staff is there for a paycheck. That's it. When I return to Utah, I won't be going back and it's so sad because I loved her service and understanding so much in the beginning.
