The name is misleading. This is a resale vintage store, not a thrift, and prices are high.

One of the reasons it's my favorite shop is because of how curated it is. There's a smaller home section with a huge selection of dishes and fine china. There's also other good home finds as well. The clothing section is good, but not so large it's overwhelming. I love the designer section, there's always something good there. Additionally, they just added a trinket trade box to the store, so be sure to check that out!!

4 Stars for a great cause to support with your donations and some great finds!…read more When I was looking for an ethical organization where I could donate items I don't use anymore, I was so thrilled to find Out of the Closet. According to their website, Out of the Closet Thrift Store (OTC) was founded in 1990 to help raise funds and awareness for AIDS Healthcare Foundation. When you shop or donate at Out of the Closet, 96 cents of every dollar made goes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation's HIV prevention and treatment services. Dropping donations off is very easy- you pull up just past the front retail door to another closed exterior door which has a sign to ring a bell for assistance. From there someone comes out to receive the donations. As a thrift shop, I've been able to find a great furniture piece as well as a few tops. They have lots of clothes and some home goods, depending on the week. With that said, it's not the best thrift store in terms of inventory and pricing, but you know you're supporting a good cause and there are some hidden gems. I'll keep donating here and perusing for some fun thrift finds!

The store is always thoughtfully stocked with unique vintage finds, and every visit feels like a treasure hunt. One of my favorite things about shopping here is that it's more than just a vintage store. In addition to the incredible clothing and collectibles, you'll find products from talented local small businesses, making it a great place to support the community while discovering something special. I almost always leave with something and if I don't, I usually end up regretting not grabbing that one unique item I can't stop thinking about! The staff is amazing, welcoming, and passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better. If you're exploring Orlando, don't forget to check out their additional selection inside East End Market.

The locally sourced goods were in their own little section with the shops name above it. Plants, jewelry, skincare, perfumes and more! They had some really beautiful items that brought me back to my childhood with mid-century modern furniture, beautiful glassware and VHS tapes galore. A little on the pricier side but a fun weekend activity to add to your thrift list for special items.
