This was my first time at Goodwill in a VERY long time! The lovely employee at the front gave us a cart and we walked through the store looking for Disney shirts! I was surprised to see they had a deal on the already discounted items where anything with an orange tag was 50% off. I got two shirts at $1 each! This store was extremely clean and well organized. I was able to find a Disney shirt that still had the original tag on it. The employees were super nice and this was a great experience so I would recommend the store to anyone looking for a good location! read more

This is the biggest Goodwill I think I've ever been to. There was so much to see here. I was looking for brown boots and was able to find exactly what I was looking for. They had so many different shoes to look through that they even had different areas set up for specific shoe colors. Since there are so many shoes for women, they are all pretty affordable. However, they were not as many shoes for men so they were a bit more on the expensive side. Most of the men's shoes that I found for my husband started at about $15 and went all the way up to over $100. For used shoes I wouldn't pay anything over $20. The cashiers were friendly. I saw an item behind the shelves that I wanted a price check on and the lady helped me. If you're in the area and you're looking to pick up some thrifted goods, I would definitely recommend checking this store out. They do have a restroom inside but you need to push the button by the door and wait for an employee to come let you into the bathroom. Make sure if you're with someone else that they take your items because you're not allowed to bring merchandise into the restroom with you. read more

It's definitely a bigger warehouse store than other Goodwill's, but I wouldn't necessarily say that makes it any better than other locations. They have many vinyls and formal wear. We were able to find great antiques to put on display and reuse for centerpieces. We ended up paying about $50 for 6 items - which was pretty decent in comparison to how big and unique the items were. The checkout employee was really nice, but others had spilt some items and took a while to clean it up (and it was glass that fell). read more

I shop in a lot of Goodwill stores from time to time and have had some very good luck finding deals. I wasn't a big fan of this location before but currently they're in the middle of a huge remodel. You follow the signs to enter through a warehouse door and it takes you into the part of the store that is open. It's a much smaller space at the moment and while they do have a good selection of merchandise they didn't have anything that interested me on this visit. Prices are mostly good. I am looking forward to when they finish the remodel and have a larger space to fill in. I'm hopeful that they will get in and display more things that will interest myself and people that I know. I'm not sure how long it'll be before they finish but They have been working on it for a while. read more

We stopped by on on a recent trip to Orlando because we remembered this Goodwill as being large and well stocked. Unfortunately they are under construction and have been reduced to a much smaller area. They still have the typical Goodwill inventory of clothes, accessories, books, toys, and housewares but less than usual. Since this is Central Florida you can find Disney souvenirs like mouse ears and Minnie shoes. I even found a few pieces of china that matched my pattern. Hopefully next time I stop by they will be fully reopened. read more

This goodwill had a great selection. Really, any clothing you might be looking for can be found. My biggest issue was the disorganization of sizes within the dresses. The dresses were lined along the walls, but not organized by size - Making it impossible to search for your specific size and to shop by style, you may find a dress you like in a different size. The household items like baskets, coolers etc. were fairly disorganized as well.. Hard to find what you're looking for. Overall, this store has a lot of selection with shoes being shorted by colour in some spots, bathing suits organized by tops and their sizes then bottoms and their sizes and most clothing items organized by style and size. The store was clean and the employees were kind. A good place to shop if you have a few hours to spare looking through various items. read more

This is a huge goodwill! It has tons of variety and is well organized when it comes to clothes shoes and accessories. I was super impressed with the formal wear that was available. If you are looking for a prom dress or other formal event attire definitely take a look here. This store also had a huge selection of household goods. There wasn't a lot of furniture at this location on the day I visited. If you need wood projects they have so many wood based pieces/shelves/ carvings. Definitely a diyers paradise. There's also a small section dedicated to mid to slightly higher level brands . The only pitfall is you have to wait for a worker to open the cases and finding an available person is extremely difficult. Every worker is diligently organizing, bringing out new merchandise or working a register. It's also a very clean store. Prices are maybe slightly higher than good wills I've gone to in other areas. The biggest surprise for me was the lack of higher end name brand clothes. I'm usually pretty good at finding a few high end items and I only found Zara here. As larger as this location is I would have expected to see a few higher end brands. The other drawback is how slow the lines are and few registers are open. They have the capacity to have many more registers open but not the staff available to run them. Overall a good experience and worth a lt least one visit. read more

I'm not sure if this location is currently expanding or remodeling but I came here to grab some shorts to replace the ones I got ruined during my business trip and they had a good variety of styles at above average prices for a thrift stores. A majority of the places close early so this is your best option plenty of parking, store is fairly organized but not the cleanest either. Lines move quick as well. HUGE! That's really the best word to describe the differentiating factor for this location. They have aisles, and aisles of things for just about every category you can think of! We've been several times throughout the past few years. Most recently we went in looking for tea party items (think tea cups, saucers, plates, platters, etc.) for our daughter's upcoming "Tea for Two" themed second birthday party. We easily found several pieces, and they were obviously at a bargain price point. They had all yellow tagged items as 50% off the marked price, and it's a rotating color tag, so be sure to ask or look for the signage to tell you which color is on offer when you arrive. The only factor that can be painful is the check-out area. They usually only have a handful of cashiers, and if there are a few people with a lot of items, it backs up quickly. But, for the prices it's hard to be too concerned here. :) Overall: A Great place to find bargain items. It's always rotating in and out donated items, so if you're on the hunt for anything specific, check back regularly as things change quickly! read more

First time at this goodwill. This goodwill was massive had a lot of great finds especially in the home/organization sections along with women's shirts/blouses. Two ways this goodwill could improve are being at being better at providing and monitoring the shopping carts/baskets for its customers and lowering its prices. I understand inflation is a thing but non big name brand dresses shouldn't be $9.99 same with most shirts which were priced at $6.99. GW is still all second hand clothing, that were donated and as a chain has forgotten that and have just become more for profit than the communities it's merchandise is supposed to serve. read more

I consistently fine great things here, all the way from home furnishings, to close for myself. Majority of customers had masks on, and all employees are required still to wear masks (yay!) As far as Goodwills go, this place is pretty massive. It sits alone by the side of the road, and it includes both retail and admin offices, as well as a ginormous parking lot! The shelves are more or less organized, as patrons do their best to add chaos while workers pick up and sort after them. There are large clothing sections, mostly casual and sports, for kids, women and men, and a handful items in the furniture section and linens. Decorations and toys is where it's at! This location had tons of board games, plush dolls, printers, and other electronics. Most table utensils were wrapped together, for easy picking. Candles, pots, dinner plates and a wide variety of wine glasses, beer glasses, and coffee mugs, some of them brand new with tags and packaging could be found around various shelves. The biggest challenge is to walk slowly, giving you eyes and brain enough time to process the enormous amount of shapes and colors to find that gem you didn't know you were looking for until you find it :) Worth a visit on a rainy afternoon. read more

My Favorite GOODWILL branch besides the new one in GOLDENROD! I TRY AS MUCH TO STAY AWAY from this place because everytime I come here JUST LIKE TARGET - I COME OUT WITHA CARTFUL OF THINGS!!! I have bought tons of things from here from home sign plaques to high end authentic items such as Dooney & Bourke handbags to TOMS shoes! I also have bought many home items such as Wall mirrors, authentic japanese tea sets and dinnerware. Evening gowns and gym clothing! I scored unbelievable items such as a case of Laneige skincare that is very pricey in Korea! So far that is my holy grail for face wash! I have scored precious moments items in almost new condition to a Bionaire air purifier! I also buy board games and unique glasses for my mini wine bar. I have also scored a rice box that I have been searching on amazon and ebay and finally scored one here for under $10! A few people have teased me on my love for Goodwill but if I never told them where I bought certain things - They would never though my TOMS shoes costs me $3.99! I highly advice to of course lysol and bleach spray items before placing it in your home and also washing items in the washer under hot water with a splash of bleach before wearing clothing or hugging stuffed animals or washable purses. This Goodwill is huge and you will come across shoppers that camp inside the store for hours - it will remind you of BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPERS and its hilarious to observe and watch them hawking new stock coming from the back! Watch and babysit your cart because there are shoppers without you watching will snatch your items!! read more

Overpriced and a scam! I believe in charity and helping out in my community but I don't like being lied to so that someone can get more out of me. Every day the Good Will posts a new color tag that reduces the cost of something by 50%. So yesterday near closing time I was in the Good Will and I found 4 items that I liked. The only problem is that they were priced higher than if I were to buy them new. Luckily they were marked with blue tags and I knew that the next day the blue tags would be on sale. At 50% off the items were affordable and I was willing to come back I arrived the Good will 10 minutes before it opened. When I got inside I found the 4 dresses and SURPRISE... SURPRISE.... SURPRISE!!! They changed the tags on the clothes to yellow! So blue tagged things were on sale but Good Will employees removed all the blue tags and put different colors. There are better thrift stores and charity shops and I'm going to start going to them. Good Will is now the pits! read more

This is a VERY small location and the items are very disorganized. More clothes than anything else. Staff seem very uncomfortable and are simply "pushing" things on the shelves. Also the pricing was completely overpriced compared to other locations I visit routinely....not all Goodwills are created equal- this is a pass for me. read more

This place is a hot mess. Things are strewn on tables. I bought a Bialetti; which was taped together, so I couldn't check the reservoir base. Once I brought it home, I was very disappointed with the reservoir which was in poor condition, and it looked as if, the metal was eaten right through, like rust? I didn't think it was safe to make my espresso in. I am furious. Do not trust goodwill. Their pricing is off the charts, too high for something they received without cost. You're better off looking for deals at Salvation Army. read more

It's Goodwill so you never know what you're going to find. It's pretty messy in there and it is full! I am a reseller so I will dig for goodies. I have never found much here but not saying you will not. My advice is go when you have time to sift through the clothing. Lots of racks! read more

Found soo many amazing things including Aritzia brands! The prices were overall decent, but I did see some pretty steep prices in the bottoms section. Unfortunately I did see a ton of SHEIN, but that's not the thrift's fault. Also, when I went carts were hard to come by because there were a lot of people! There ARE 2 or 3 dressing rooms if I can remember correctly. Definitely would come back!!! read more

I have no idea why anyone would ever shop here! I'm an avid thrifter; I enjoy digging through bins in search of hidden gems. However not only was pretty much everything junk; customers and customer service are definitely lacking. Upon entering the bargain room, I walked to the left side because the right side was swarming with people. Immediately I was screamed at by an employee who told me to get out of that area. Apparently they were going to swap out bins, but she literally screamed at me not to touch anything and basically to get out of there. That should have been my cue to turn around and walk out. Next that same employee had a verbal altercation with another customer not even 5 minutes later. It resulted in that employee and that customer, surrounded by her 6 or so friends, loudly screaming at one another. I was appalled. On top of everything else, the customers that were shopping either crowd you or stuff entire bins of clothing into a duffle and claim it's theirs! I saw this happen more than once. I'm glad I don't live in Orlando; I'll never come back here! read more

Out of all the places we visited, this location undoubtedly had the best selection and pricing around. There were minor issues with organization and cleanliness, but nothing too significant. This is the best Goodwill in Orlando to me. The variety is large and well organized. It's recently been updated and doesn't have that thrift store smell yet. On the weekend this place is packed and no shopping carts are available. I hate that! I always find tons of designer items and unique pieces. I never leave empty handed. The best time to go is on Monday since everyone cleans out their closet's over the weekend. Best items found so far are: YSL oxfords for $4.99 Plenty of designer blazers under $6 Disel sweater for $3 Make sure you see what color items are half off upon entering the store. A few years ago this location was awesome and top notch. On my recent trip the customer service slipped drastically. Three cashiers for nearly 20 customers in line. Check out the pictures that I uploaded. On the plus side: I found a nice pair of 7 Jeans for $6.97, some nice black boots for $7, and over 10 used books. They also have a public restroom which you can use which is a plus especially for children. You do not have to ask to use the restroom at this location as though YOU are a child which is a plus. On the minus side: The line was way too long. Sorry but this location is slipping in customer service. Shopping carts are lacking too which is significantly different from other Goodwill locations which make it easy for you to shop or want to shop. Then I stepped into the Clearance Center and the cashier was yelling at customers for putting their clothes on a rack near the front door where they keep the VHS tapes, DVDs, and CDs. She told them they do not belong on the rack! She told the customer that she can put them on the other bin or on the floor. Poor customer service. Screaming at a customer. I thought it was rude. Yelling at immigrants who already have it tough as it is. Compassion was lacking so I walked right out. This was surprising considering that the corporate office is right next door. Goodwill prides itself in helping the community too and the cashier yelled at the customer. It was horrible. Will I return? Maybe next year. read more

I just voluntarily quit Goodwill yesterday. So, this post will either come off as a disgruntled former employee or Goodwill will have it deleted before it can even be viewed, but that's fine because it will be on Yelp as well. Goodwill is running what feels like a sweatshop in the back production room. I'll start with your role as an employee. I signed on as a pricer. This means that I was simply expected to price the items in the back. What I wasn't told is that you're also expected to act as a janitor with no additional pay. They have employees in the back mopping floors and wiping toilets. This is not something that's disclosed during the interview process. The men in the back room are expected to be responsible for lifting all the heavy items and unloading the trucks when all they signed on to do was price items or sort through items to be priced. I understand that's what society expects men to do, but some of these men are in their late 50's/60's and are too afraid to tell management they don't feel comfortable lifting these items. On top of that, the store manager, Rhonda, decided that the rest of the store would receive two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch and that the wares table would only receive one 15 minute break because they weren't meeting production goals. That brings me to the actual production goals as a pricer. As a pricer, I was told we were expected to price at least 400 items per day. The only way that's possible is if we had at least 400 quality items placed on our table by our fillers. Our fillers were often pulled away for hours at a time to work pallets and we were left to either fill for ourselves or have one filler for 4/5 pricers. On weekends we're always expected to fill for ourselves. The role of a filler is to sort through big blue bins and decide what items were quality to be sold or not. There's mounds of junk piled high that we're expected to dig through. The items are filthy and it's not a rarity that we'll find a large roach running around on the back table out of one of the items. We have to price items that you can find at the dollar store for a minimum of $2.99 and are told that we shouldn't even be using those stickers. They really only want us using $3.99. Everything is donated. Every week there's a color of the week. As soon as it turns that color, we're sent to the floor in the morning to pull as much of that color off the shelves as we can only leaving behind the most expensive items. The production room is hot and isn't properly air conditioned. All they have is fans back there that just circulate hot air. There are large bins of trash, so the scent is often unbearable. Things are always all over the place. The only time we're expected to have things together is when we're told corporate is coming from next door. That puts an unnecessary pressure on us as employees to make sure things are up to par when management could simply make sure everything was copacetic in the back room. We are told that we have to ask permission before we can go next door and speak with someone from the HR department which is something I've never heard in my life. They make it seem as if they want to try to solve the issue before it has to be escalated, but in the words of the store manager, Rhonda, "I take people telling me they're going to go to HR as a threat!" Management is terrible. Goodwill is a second chance company, so there are murders and sex offenders working in the back. I don't necessarily find an issue with that because I do believe people deserve a second chance at life, it's rough. My issue is that they prey on these vulnerable communities. They make the ideal production worker. They will never speak out about problems they have in the back room out of fear they'll be out of a job and it'll be extremely difficult to find another. The same goes for their employees in their 60's/70's (close to retirement) and those who barely know English. The management berates their employees. When they have an issue with an employee they have no problem addressing it in front of everyone. The proper way would be to pull the associate to the side or the office and explain their errors and provide them with ways they could improve. The production numbers are all off. They'll write your numbers down based on how many stickers were printed without ever seeing whether all of those stickers were actually placed on that amount of items. Then they'll yell at the ones who produce low numbers even though those are the more realistic ones given the fact the fillers are pulled away all day. The place is an absolute shit show. Rhonda is a lazy store manager that passes off the majority of her responsibilities to management below her and Sandra is an absolute bully, she needs to be investigated. Just last week several employees from the back room requested a transfer to a different location because of their treatment. I am the 5th employee to leave the SOBT location voluntarily in 2 weeks. read more

I guess it's a good place for clothing articles but not so much for housewares etc. I scored some cute Loft pieces perfect for fall weather.
