I haven't stopped here for a long time and I decided to get something since I was in the area. I decided on an egg white omelette with turkey sausage and provolone cheese. The bagel is a multigrain variety. I should have requested that they toast the bagel a little but no problem. The sandwich has a good flavor. Such a catchy name, right? I love the name, My Favorite Muffin & Bagel! I've been here several times and I have never been disappointed with the food and service. The staff members are pretty friendly and patient whenever I am deciding on what to order. This cafe/bakery offers breakfast/lunch on their bagels or bread. They also have an amazing selection of jumbo sized muffins. It's so hard to decide on which muffin to order because they all look so yummy! They have Chocolate Chip, Oreo, Blueberry Coffee Cake, Coffee Cake, and etc.! The establishment is clean, offer free refills on flavored coffees, and free wifi. I came here on a Monday and luckily it was "Monday Muffin Madness," which meant all of the jumbo sized muffins were $1.59 instead of the regular price of $2.49 each. Score! I ordered the Blueberry Coffee Cake Muffin to go and it was incredible. I love the muffin tops! I also ordered their special of picking 2 items for $5.99. I ordered the half Grilled Chicken Sandwich with the Works Bagel and their Vegetable Beef Soup. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was great and definitely filling. When I heard that they had great hot chocolate, then I knew the next time that it got cold, I would stop in. Wish that I had not waited so long. I dropped in for lunch. This place has it together. We came on a busy Saturday morning and things were humming along like a well oiled machine. The wait was short to get to the register and the staff was friendly and patient as it was our first time here. We got a couple of bagel breakfasts, a muffin and coffee. It took less than 5 minutes before it was delivered to our table. The quality and freshness was awesome. The quintessential "can't skip" restaurant when I return to visit my hometown of Centerville. Their jumbo muffins and new COLD BREW are to kill for! My favorite muffin (since that's the title of the restaurant we should all name one) is the double chocolate. Huge. Can eat on it for two days or at least two meals. Big enough to split. Their breakfast combos, which include a bagel sandwich, coffee and three mini muffins, are a great value. It's a great way to try all the many varieties of muffins they offer (second fave muffin: chocolate cheesecake. Oreo cream is third). The staff is excellent. Visiting them is one of the highlights of my trips, that's how kind they are! Shout-out to Shelly, Sharon (remember, it's the Rocky Horror Roxy cast on iTunes!) and crew, old and new. The crew writes quirky post it notes and pin them on a board in the bathrooms, free to take. Kinda kitchy cool. They recently introduced COLD BREW (importantly, in caps) and it's delicious. For CB aficionados, quasi-similar to Lucky Jack but smoother with chocolatier finish. Strong but accessible for those who don't fancy CB generally. No aftertaste. I have a starbucks account. I got CB here anyway. My only critique is that it be included (for an upcharge of the remainder?) in the breakfast special. Not a hot coffee person most of the time, so I'd like it to be able to utilize it with the combo. Offering discount or complimentary CB refills may be an interesting way to get more people to subscribe to the app, which is worth getting, especially if you plan to go more than once (You should). read more

Love this place! I serve on a bird and we have our monthly meetings here. We are able to book the side room for our group which is wonderful. I live their herb and cheese bagels! Yum! I like that you order and are given a number to place on your table. They will bring your order out. The coffee choices are great! Breakfast blend, hazelnut, dark roast and another. They also have a coke selection machine with shots of flavor to jazz up a soda. The muffins are so good! I get the minis and like the bite size. Many flavors and a special seasonal flavor or two is also offered. Service is always quick and everything is tasty. I have tried a veggie sandwich and it was good but I forget they offer lunch. Everyday they have bagel samples on the shelf next to the glass case. A great way to try a new flavor you aren't sure of. Check it out! read more

I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. They sliced and put the cream cheese on the bagel for me, then wrapped it nicely. They offer about 10 different types of coffee that are self serve. They have 2 decaf options, one of which is a hazelnut and is very good. Everyone talks about the muffins but the breakfast sandwiches are also top notch! I've always loved this place - any of the muffins that had cheesecake in the name are amazing (they have cream cheese in them). And the bagels are well made also - don't miss them! And I really like the breakfast sandwiches here because, unlike many bagel chains, they don't use those nasty egg patties but real egg cooked to order. The staff has always been lovely - I've run into the owner/family over the last twenty years there many times and she is always friendly and smiling. This place has been around a long time for a reason... The decor and style may be dated, but the quality and the people have been top notch for over two decades, maybe more. I was only in the area for a business meeting. I needed something in my belly for breakfast having driven from Cincy during the first snow of the year. The cashier was very friendly. The place was nice and clean. I ordered the omlette breakfast bagel to eat there. The bagel itself was actually toasted warm, light, airy which caught me by surprise. I am used to the heavy feeling bagels of other places. The filling of sausage, egg, and whatever seemed very light. For almost $4 I would have expected a little bit of a heavier serving. My heart has already been stolen by another muffin (The Underdog Cafe, Yellow Springs), so I knew "My Favorite Muffin" didn't stand a chance on winning my affections. I'm what some would disdainfully label a hipster, but I'm completely neutral about the term. Walking into My Favorite Muffin, I caught sight of the impressive selection of flavors and deliciousness behind the counter. It was fairly busy when I arrived, and I took my time looking at every single muffin (I mean, you can't be hasty about these things!). I was put off by the girl behind the counter asking me several times if I was ready to order. I ordered a lemon poppy seed, which was fairly average for a place that specializes in muffins. Also, there are no gluten-free options, which saddened me immensely. I should have figured with this being in Centerville and located in a shopping center that also houses Earth Fare, that the clientele at MFM would be mostly older, white, middle to upper class. Which is fine and everything, but not really what I was looking for. Bottom line, this is a decent place to have breakfast, but nothing special. read more

My girls and I love My Favorite Muffin. Staff is always very sweet and helpful. Owners are fantastic, this is a family owned and operated business. We eat here at least once a week. Love Muffin Mondays...you can get the large, beautiful muffins at a wonderful reduced price on Mondays. The mini muffins are perfect for business meetings. They can get busy, especially on the weekends and sometimes at lunch during the school year (close enough to the high schools that students head over for lunch) I usually go at 2ish and generally not busy at that time. I love the Turkey on Poppy seed bagel (bagel toasted) with lettuce, provolone and plain cream cheese. I also love the egg and cheese on the Asiago Cheese bagel (bagel toasted)...they do put a dill pickle spear on the side of luncheon sandwiches...be sure to tell them when you order if you don't want a pickle. Soups are good as well. I have not had anything bad here...the staff is always accommodating with extra crackers for my soup. It is nice they now have the soda machine on the counter so drinks, even water are now self-serve. They have a frequent shopper card for sandwiches! read more
