No one really has their own washer/dryers, but there is a laundromat on every corner. Then I moved to London, and I learned something else. Dryers do not exist in people's homes here. Oh, the humanity. Crunchy towels and laundry strewn all about my house drying for days on end? NO THANK YOU. I do not have the patience. So I sought out alternative resources. And I found it. Eskimo Laundry! On Yelp! I started using Eskimo Laundry about 10 months ago shortly after I wrestled with the drying situation a few times, and I've never looked back. They pick up at my home on Mondays (laundry AND drycleaning), and drop all back off by Wednesday or Thursday of the same week. Easy facts: There is a 20 GBP minimum per pickup. They also do dry cleaning. They pick up at your home at a designated day/time window. The staff is very easy to work with, and very nice and professional. Every few months I get a bill and pay via CC on the phone with the owner. My only bit of constructive feedback is that the folding is a bit haphazard and I do end up redoing a fair amount of it. I've been spoiled by my favorite Korean lady in the world (Brooklyn) who somehow managed to fold 2 huge bags of laundry into the pile the size of a notebook. Magical. I like crisp clean lines and square corners...except fitted sheets, those are the worst. Forever. It may seem like a luxury to some, but to me -- I will happily save elsewhere and dish out 20+ GBP to have fresh, clean, DRY laundry arriving on my doorstep. The owners are sneaky. While vacationing in London we went here to do laundry. Two of the washing machines I was using broke mid-cycle. The owners laughed and told me to move the clothes into another machine (after waiting 18 mins and over 7 euros later). I told him to give me money to which he only provided 5 euros. He asked me to put the rest of the money into the machine. While I was there I saw two other machines break mid cycle. The laundromat is also filthy and the neighborhood is slightly creepy.

There are many cafes in the area, including the wonderful Acoustic, and most have free WiFi and a chilled ambiance to while away the time.

But they don't know Bourjois so they can stop laughing! This place is so much more than a dry cleaners. It is owned by Mustopha and Feriha, two of the hardest working people in Molesey. When you walk past it, be sure to wave to Mustopha who will always be sitting by the window, tending to endless alterations. He will always wave back. I take absolutely everything in that needs alterations. I have had them customise, sew, take in, take out. They have altered bags for me, jackets, dresses and more, and it is always cheaper then I would expect. As well as dry cleaning they also do upholstery, curtains, carpet and rugs cleaning, so between them, they can pretty much take care of your wardrobe and household. I have been coming in here for about 10 years and they have never failed me.

I've never had to spend more than £3 on one load -- which is not too pricy, but it really does add up. Especially when one of the employees notices you trying to stuff too many clothes into one drying cycle, and forces you to use an additional machine...on multiple occasions.... This business is owned by a Bengali family, as a lot of places in Bethnal Green are. While I'm not being prejudice, at ALL, I think it's absolutely hilarious/confusing/unexpected that this family has hung labelled art prints on all of the walls of the laundromat, displayed as they were in an art gallery. Also, there's a huge, geometric mural reading 'HEARTBREAK' on the window, and a matching one the wall above the till, reading 'DRY CLEANING.' Classic Shoreditch. All in all, this place does what it needs to do -- nothing more, nothing less. A solid A-OK, according to Yelp's star-rating system. I drop my clothes off knowing that they will be returned in a few days and in wonderful condition. I am not sure if I pay a lot for my dry cleaning, (£3-4 for a jumper)but thus far, it's worth it. I recently took one of my favorite dresses with a stain. I was convinced the dress was ruined but he was able to get the stain out and save my dress!
