If you're staying a hotel in Kensington, Bobo's Bubbles is a cheaper option than typical hotel laundry services. Especially when you're travelling in the winter for a week... laundry is a good option if you need to pack light. I was staying at the Crowne Plaza Kensington, which was only a 5 minute walk away, and found this place suited my needs. Prices were OK, between wash and dry I think I spent about 9 pounds 1 suitcase. 6 pounds for the wash and 3 pounds for 30 minutes of washing (prices are on my photos). They have different size washers with different pricing - make sure to read through the instructions, especially on where to pour the detergent. Definitely recommend looking at the options before pouring your detergent in the bin, because it varies. Luckily it didn't seem to matter too much, and my stuff got washed. One pound coins only - if the attendant is there they can exchange bills for them. They sell detergent here if you don't bring your own - it's through a vending machine that takes one pound coins. Otherwise there's a Sainsbury literally around the corner that you can buy detergent and other items. They offer wash services for loads of laundry... I posted the prices in one of my photos. Turnaround time they said would be the following day - will definitely try it out next time. read more

Basic laundromat, open early. Seemed pricey, £5 for a wash, £1 for 10 minutes dry. But got the job done. Coins only. 1/2 a block from the Marriott and next door to a Sainsbury makes it very convenient. read more

Best place I've found so far that's close to me. £4 for a small load £5 for a larger load 20 pence to dry for 3 minutes.. this definitely adds up. Machines are newer here than the place down the street in South Kensington by Fitness First. Service fee is not based on any cost/pound method even though they pretend it is when they ask you to put your laundry on the scale. What annoyed me when I brought my laundry in: It costs 2x more if you want your colors separated. That means my laundry that fit in my whole foods paper bag (the bigger one of course) cost me £14.. not to mention my friends get different rates and I don't know how that happens or who they speak to. But in all - service is pretty cheap here, do they stuff it all in 1 machine? Probably. How clean is it? *shrug* maybe washing it yourself isn't that bad. read more

Spent the last week in (Kensington) London and used the laundry twice. The young lady who works here (Fan) is really polite and very helpful. The wash and dry service was reasonably priced when compared to hotel charges. (£10 for a 10lb load). Both times my clothes were packed and waiting for me when I returned later that day. I was visiting a friend in Kensington who had limited laundry capacity. After traveling in Europe for 2 weeks I had a whole suitcase of clothes to wash. They were so kind and helpful, giving me additional soap. There is also an ATM right next door if you need cash or coins to exchange. I spent about £15 to do all of my laundry and could not have been happier with it all. The machines are also very fast, so you do not have to sit and wait for hours if you'd rather not leave them. read more

I put 4.00 into a dryer which apparently wasn't working, the lady in the shop hadn't put an out of order sign on it and refused to refund me the money even though I showed her it was blowing freezing cold air. She accused me of changing the temperature and refused to speak with the manager when I asked her. Awful place. read more

Visiting London and needed to have laundry cleaned while traveling. This laundromat was just across the street from my hotel. They will wash/dry/fold your laundry for you and will let you know when it will be done so you can plan to pick it up later. Super convenient, especially if you have other things to do, whether you are here for business or if you are here to sight-see. (You can also stay and do it yourself, if you prefer.) The prices are very reasonable considering I had 2 loads of laundry (at least 30 articles of clothing) done for the same price I would have paid for only 4 articles of clothing laundered through my hotel service. Huge savings!! Everything was done exactly as I requested, including hang-drying 2 items, and ready on time. I'll definitely use this laundromat again while I'm in London! read more

Stayed in Kensington, & Bobo's only self-serve place we found. Great for people staying in hotels across the road. Store is located on the main road next to a Sainsbury & Starbucks. Close to underground stop (Gloucester Road). Reasonable pricing, machines start from $5 pound to 8 (maybe more). Dryers $1 for 10mins or 20 pence for 2mins. Strict on the whole set prices for dropping washing & having attendant do the work. Small loads best to do yourself, or pay the attendant the amount & don't complain read more

While staying in Kensington we needed some laundry washed! We had a place that was supposed to pick up and they no showed. We saw that Bobos was across from our hotel and they wash dry and fold while we were out sightseeing and this was a fraction of the cost at the hotel who charges almost 4 pounds to launder a pair of socks! We paid 10 pounds to have all of our laundry done and away we went. The attendant was so nice too. read more

Fast service and cheaper than the hotels. I would use them again. Clothes were nice and clean, nothing missing. No complaints here.

They provided wash and dry services by weight which was perfect for our vacation. Much cheaper than per item laundry at the hotel. We could drop off laundry in the morning and pick it up at night the same day. Price was approx £10 for 10 pounds of laundry. Note although the self serve laundry mat is open between 7-11. I had a disaster with my hotel's laundry and came here to fix the problem. Jasmine is brilliant. She's friendly, knowledgeable, super busy and hard working. She took the time to help me understand how to use the machines, and even offered to help me fold my washing despite being busy herself. She was also happy to chat which helped pass the time. If I could give zero stars I would. The attendant was not the least bit helpful, half the machines were out of service (not to mention two other customers had issues with the machines that were working in the hour and a half I was there), and the floors were looking like they'd not been cleaned in a week. Some friendly service, a deep maintenance of the machines, and a mop and this would be a perfectly acceptable coin laundry. A change machine would be nice too. Bogus bobo bubbles. read more

My wife and I were staying at the Park International Hotel, which is across the street and down the block from Bobo's. We were in London for two weeks so we expected we'd have to send some of our clothes out to be laundered. After seeing the ridiculous prices the hotel charges to launder clothes I decided to give BoBo's a try. They charge ten British pounds for 10 lbs of laundry, which is far more reasonable than the hotel. I dropped off our bag of laundry in the morning and picked it up later that day. Super easy and convenient. They even hang-dried one of my wife's sweaters that couldn't go in the dryer. All in all, if you're staying in this area and need some clothes laundered, definitely give this place a try. I am very glad I found it. The only reason I don't give them five stars is because my shirts were folded inside out. I didn't really care but I did have to refold them back at the room. No biggie but five stars is for above and beyond service. This place is good though, for sure. read more

This place is weird. Dropped laundry off on Morning of 23rd March. was told as there was a towel in my washing the charge would be more. Wasn't given my change back (it was kept as a tip even though I didn't offer it). Just collected today (25th March) was told to get it myself from behind counter by one member of staff ( needed to stand on a rickety step to get laundry from high shelf). Then was 'told off' by the other assistant for going behind counter! bizarre!!! 1 star for customer service... Anyway washing was nice and clean..... read more

Open 7 days, 7AM to 11 PM (last wash at 10 PM). The hours are quite helpful for travelers. The attendant at the desk has change but is not overly helpful or at all friendly. The machines were all in working order when I visited two days ago. The cost is 5 pounds per regular wash load (soap not included, but available for 50 pence) and 1 pound for 10 minutes in the dryer (my load required 20 minutes). There are clean baskets available for use while there, but very minimal bench seating. read more

Run! Stay away from this place. I live in London and use launderettes frequently. This one is dirty, horrible machines that do not spin properly , the girl who was working was rude and it's over priced. I took my winter coat in and it came out drenched, no spin cycle and the girls said " that's just how it is" so I tried to dry it and it would not dry fully. The coat is ruined and the experience was horrible. Americans, students in the area, stay away. If u can, head to another one near by, problem being there are few but hold out for the best. One in Worlds End or the best in London is in Notting Hill, Sparkle on Chepstow Road. What a waste and my coat is a mess. read more

Great place! Rustic and kind of grimy, you get a taste of the old days (since you have to have old £1 coins to operate the machines - new ones don't work), and you get in and out quickly (because the staff is so rude you don't want to talk to them for very long). The music on the soundtrack is vintage '80s (grinding), and I could go on and on. Your clothes do get clean and dry. In short what's not to like?? After a week in the UK and with laundry piling up, I tried to use one of their self-service machines today and it did not work properly. It basically sailed through the cycle in about 5 minutes, barely rinsing my clothes. The soap was not dispensed, and my clothes came out essentially no cleaner than they went in. The attendant would not provide a refund and claimed the machine worked properly, even though it was obvious it did not, as it only did a quick pre-wash and never stopped at the wash cycle. i did a quick internet search on the place and noticed several Google reviewers complaining about the exact same experience - i.e., non-working machines, rude staff and no refunds. I'm glad other Yelp reviewers have had mostly positive experiences here, but I would not recommend using the self-service machines. read more
