My eyebrows grow out a little unevenly so I'm always a little uneasy going into a new place, but I had the best experience ever. She really listened to me and kept my eyebrows the same thickness and same general shape, just did a really great job cleaning it up and evening them out! She was attentive and gentle but still got the job done. The inside was so calm, and the ambience was relaxing and chill. I definitely felt pampered. I scheduled my appointment last night and was able to get in today. I have another appointment later this week since my massage therapist back home said to wait 5-7 days if you're getting a massage for a targeted area/for muscle pain, but I will definitely come here again! Another Yelper said $115/60 mins is great for Navy Yard, and while I think I could find less elsewhere, Agnes was worth it and I cant wait to go again. I felt immediate relief in my shoulder, and she even worked out knots in my lower back. She provided a full body massage (head, neck, shoulders, back, lower back, glutes, legs) and I left feeling like a new person.

My eyebrows tails have a tattooed outline with empty space. It is beyond embarrassing. When I spoke to her about the issue she said she had never seen this before but my friend who went there is having a similar issue. Julie did my acrylic fill with gel polish and added a simple, cute flower design just in time for my birthday. She did a phenomenal job! I've been consistently getting my nails done for about 3 years, and she was one of my favorite techs. She gave me great ideas and was so patient with me, which really helped because I could not decide on a color! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I scheduled an appointment for 5:00 PM but wasn't seen until around 5:20 PM since they were running behind. They only have a certain number of nail techs who do acrylics, which I completely understand. I just wanted to mention it in case you're in a time crunch and are scheduling a specific service--it's possible your appointment could get pushed back. That said, I personally didn't mind waiting, and I'm really happy with how my nails turned out!

The color selection is poor, and the swatches rarely match the color that actually ends up on your nails. Every time I've gone, I've been unhappy with the shape or quality of my manicure. My nails frequently chip or break much sooner than they should (days after getting them done), but given the location I justified the shortcomings. Today, I made an appointment with a specific technician, only to be told (15 minutes after I arrived) that they had been overbooked. My options were to wait an hour or see someone else whenever they had time because they had accepted too many appointments. Poor quality, poor organization, and consistently disappointing results. I gave this place far more chances than it deserved, I would not recommend this salon.

The website was user friendly and I got an email confirmation immediately. The day comes around and I arrived at about 9:50 AM for my 10 AM appointment. The business list its hours as opening at 9 AM but the shop was completely closed up, so I took a seat and waited. 5 mins. later I received a text message from Kay letting me know that she was running about 15 mins late. No problem; it's the DC area and traffic happens. Yet 15 mins came and went and she still had not arrived. At 10:20 AM, I receive another text message letting me know that she is 2 mins away. Okay, great... but another 15 mins passes before she finally makes her way to the shop. In addition to being over 30 mins late for the appointment, she also had her young daughter in tow. Normally, this would be of no concern to me but it proved to continue to delay my service as she had to constantly stop to address or tend to her daughter. And then there was her cell phone... I understand that when operating a small business, you may need to perform double duty, like answering your business line while attending to your client. But she was also making calls that could have clearly waited, like calling her wireless company to discuss changing her service plan. As for the lashes themselves, they turned out rather decent. Because of the shortness of my natural lashes, she recommended that I go with shorter extensions, which turned out to be a very good choice. However, once they were done, I didn't even receive any instructions on how to take care of them. I won't say not to patronize this place because it has serious potential to be great. However, if you decide to head this way, it's probably best to slightly lower your expectations.

She also didn't ask the shape, length or curl I desired for my lash style. I had an appointment at 5pm and I am generally a prompt person so I factor in traffic to my travel time but nonetheless there were unexpected detours in my area. I was already stuck in traffic for a hour trying to get to her so I needed to know if she would still be able to take me at 5:30pm instead. I called 30 minutes prior to my appointment at 4:30pm and left an a voicemail to inform her of the lateness and ask if she would like to reschedule but no answer. I called her again at 5pm and again no answer. Now I'm 5 minutes away from her salon when she decides to inform me of a late fee through text because I will be 30 minutes late for my appointment. Its unprofessional because we could've discussed this a whole hour before I arrived and I could've made the decision to proceed or not had she answered her phone that she was so attentive to when I was getting my lashes done AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF....SHE POKED MY EYEBALL and the next day was red and painful. The lashes look somewhat decent though so that's why I gave 2 stars instead of one.
