And, wouldn't you know it, making an appointment to see Lucy was to guarantee Jennifer would be waiting for me. Wouldn't you know it, I arrive and who is waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs? Jennifer. Due to the stiffness in my back and the tightness of my leg muscles, I had a real difficult time negotiating the stairs. As I was making my way down the stairs, I made a mental note to self to make sure Jennifer spent extra time on my calf, thigh and back muscles followed by some mild stretching to make sure my muscles were relaxed enough to climb back up those formidable stairs once the massage was over. Once Jennifer began, the tightness slowly ebbed as she worked out knot after knot until my entire body felt renewed and rejuvenated. For a while, I was going to make seeing Lucy my quest. But with Jennifer there I could care less if I ever see Lucy. This time around, Jennifer gets 5 stars.

The massage was so good, this spa could easily become a destination spa. Have to try and get back after 2/16. Very nice that they put a notification of their closure on their website, points for that, but they should have also left a message on their phone. Not everyone will think they have a website. Points off for that. And, they should know, that because of the exceptional massages customers are getting, they will all be returning. Live and learn, I'll be back.

"Central Therapy provides Spinal Decompression, Acupuncture, Microdermabrasion to it's customers." For sure my memory could use some help, but I'm not sure visiting a spa and getting a massage will help my memory. Maybe they have some memory exercises they do while massaging your scalp. Some of the other things they specialize in, I've never heard of. I think, at least for the intermediate term, I'll just get a massage. They are pretty good at that. I saw Sophia and she said she had worked here before and wondered if she saw me before. Nope, this was my first visit. She looks 30+ but told me she has some face work done in Korea (she's Chinese but said she goes to Korea for plastic surgery since they are so much better). They then assign you a small locker for your shoes and then you go inside to the gender specific locker rooms where you have a larger locker. They issue you a uniform that you need to wear while in the common areas so you need to change into that in the locker room. Since the locker rooms are gender specific, all baths within that area require full nudity (I did not participate in those but I heard they were wonderful). Any service like mud bath and scrubs require full nudity and you can sign up online or right inside the locker room. If nudity isn't your thing, there are still plenty of things to do (just no bath stuff). In the common area, all genders intermingle and there are 5 different saunas will all different temperatures and all different themes. They have a sleeping room (which is also used for a nice yoga class), lounge chairs, a common sitting area, a cafe, and a small eatery. You can rent games at the cafe for free and the cafe has a huge menu of both healthy and indulgent treats. You can sign up for different massages, facial, hair, or foot treatments right in the common area. I do suggest signing up for these services online beforehand because they fill up quickly (all services are an extra charge and automatically add an 18% gratuity). We spent about 7 hours here with a group of 7 people and we wish we had more time. I do wish that they had proper showers inside with curtains and/or a changing area for those of us that are a little shy. Staff was friendly and we'll definitely be back. Afternoon got crowded so I would suggest going earlier in the day if you're going on a weekend.

At that point, finding another couples massage appointment elsewhere was extremely difficult, especially for such an important occasion. Unfortunately, this completely ruined plans I had made for our one-year anniversary. I understand that unexpected circumstances can happen, but the lack of communication and the extremely late notice were unacceptable. I would not recommend booking here for a special occasion, as there is no guarantee that your reservation will actually be honored. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.
