After having some issues with my laptop having multiple popups whenever I tried to open a website and the fact I couldn't open Internet Explorer anymore, I decided I need to have someone that knows what they were doing come over. I run a business out of my home as well, so having to take my computer somewhere and leave it for a few days is not an option. A friend of mine suggested the Geek Squad from Best Buy, but when I saw that the earliest they could come out would be 3 weeks, that was another dead end. Jumped on yelp and found Scott's company. Called him in the morning, he answered right away and was over at my house within an hour. After working his magic, he told me my laptop had contracted a virus in September of 2012 and he erased 68, what he calls, "critters" from my laptop. He also installed some anti-malware software to keep things in check and had my machine running smoothly in about 45 minutes. All of my web browsers now run great and it seems like everything else is running faster than before. And, I though his fee for the house call and repair was very reasonable. My Dell laptop had some software issues...I found Scott here on Yelp today and contacted him via phone...I left him a voicemail, and he returned my call very quickly - like 15-20 minutes later. We talked about the laptop's issues issues for a bit, talked about pricing, and luckily, he could fit me in today. Scott has more computer and anti-malware knowledge in his pinky nail than his competitors have in their heads. Plus he responds FAST. When you've been hit by some nasty virus, most people go into panic mode. 90% of the time, he answers the phone personally when you call. My old computer repair guy retired. Didn't know where to start but had to get my computer back up and running ASAP for work deadlines. Found My Computer EMT. Called and talked to Scott, explained what was going on and gave him info over the phone about what type of computer I had. He was on a job but when finished he picked up the part and came to my house a couple hours later. Nice guy, professional and he was right-on about the problem. Only thing was I did not have a standard size computer so the part, although exactly what I needed, was the wrong size. He made a couple calls while at the house and found it would take a couple days to get the right size part shipped or I could drive to LA where one of his friends had a shop with the right size part. He set me up with the guy in LA and my computer was up and running that afternoon. Amazingly, Scott did not charge me!! Said he didn't fix anything so there would be no charge. Who does that anymore? IDK, maybe he's working on his karma. All I know is that I am so thankful for Scott's help, especially the amount of time and frustration he save me by giving me that referral.
