We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. We learned about Michael via social media and his content convinced us that we needed to hire him. It was one of the best decisions we made. Michael hit the mark in every aspect. Communication. When it came to communication, Michael did not miss a beat. He promptly responded to our text messages, he scheduled calls for us to discuss the event, and checked in with us. Pricing. Michael's prices were competitive, and for the service he provided, far more reasonable. Mechanics. Michael provided us with an app for us to answer questions, set the event schedule, and select which songs we wanted to play during each section. By design, this app is comprehensive. You can tell that Michael put a lot of time up front covering all his bases to make sure he doesn't miss a beat, and it paid off. Miscommunication can lead to problems. A DJ will not know to do (or not do) something that isn't communicated, so answering each question is super important. As for finding songs, Michael provides sample playlists that provide an incredible springboard to start your song selection. Customizing the playlist and times makes it so everything runs smoothly. Event. Michael traveled over five hours to DJ for us. He was incredibly punctual. His equipment and setup were professional. No technical issues. We were upfront with Michael that our playlist was more of a general guideline than a rigid playlist. We wanted Michael to have flexibility in mixing the songs so that nothing felt forced. I will never pretend to be a DJ, but I understand that good DJing depends on smooth transitions, and smooth transitions depend on multiple variables. By giving Michael flexibility, and not a rigid playlist, we gave him the space to shine. Does that mean Michael didn't play the songs we requested? No. But were there songs we didn't request that were sprinkled in? Yes. Did that ruin everything? Absolutely not, those songs acted more as glue that kept everything cohesive. Michael demonstrated sound judgement in the ultimate playlist. Crowd Reception. I couldn't tell you how many of our guests complimented the music, so much so, that I ended the event by announcing how fortunate we were to have Michael, and the crowd all agreed. Stress free. One of our biggest concerns was finding a DJ that could play all of my husband & I favorite dance songs and top Cambodian songs. Lots of DJs have different transition styles and aren't always the most comfortable mixing other cultures music. After our meeting with MJ he reassured us that they have lots of experiences partying with mixed cultures. The Vibo app they have also made it very easy for us to add these Cambodian songs, must play songs, add notes for grand entrances, timing, everything...The only thing we are bummed out about is we only wish our wedding to have lasted like a couple more hours, so that we could've gone through every single must play song but he warned us that may not be possible. The first thing that comes to mind when conducting business with Mike is that he is very responsive and will typically get back to us almost immediately. His process is very efficient and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole thing. He provided us with a Spotify account with categories to help us with the selections. He worked well with our wedding planner and communicated with all of us in a timely and professional manner. We were in a bit of a pickle regarding the dance floor and he had a very good selection with a competitive rate. We ended up getting a seamless white dance floor with a design. He also has CO2 cannons, sparklers, and light up sticks! The CO2 cannons really hyped the crowd! We absolutely cannot forget dancing on the clouds! I hired Michael to DJ my son's wedding after meeting him at a Bridal Expo in Los Angeles. One thing he advertises is the free fog machine if you hire him. I was super excited to watch my son and his new bride dance to their wedding song in the fog as though they were dancing on top of a cloud. This was supposed to be a surprise! They were going to dance to Elvis's unchained memory. First mistake upon arrival was he told my daughter in law that he did not have the fog machine. Why? Why would he tell her if it was a surprise? Her maid of honor had to ask Michael why he was telling the bride that when she was trying to relax before the wedding. When I realized there was no fog machine it was too late. I brought it up to him and he tried to blame the event coordinator saying she did not allow it. After speaking to her she swore on her job that Michael never even asked, she said she was willing to go to court for him trying to get her to take the fall. Then he charged me for an extension cord he never used. Final result he refunded me for the unused extension cord. He did finally come clean to say he forgot the fog machine. Never compensating me for it when yes that was a HUGE deal for me. He charged a little over $1800.00 to be the DJ. yes he promised the fog machine for free but we all know it was in that total price anyway. Sadly we can't redo the wedding. I just want you to make sure if you hire him and he promises you the fog machine you might not get it. Is he a good DJ yes. Does he make promises he can't keep also yes. Does he try to make things right? No. My son even reached out to Michael for a copy of the video he took while people were dancing, Did my son ever receive a copy that Michael told him he would get? We were referred to My Bridal DJ by a friend and after a quick review and interview, quickly hired him for my daughter's wedding this past July. From the start, Mike was courteous, professional, and super easy to deal with. He let me know up front that he himself would be unavailable for the day of the wedding, but one of his contracted DJs, Mike Sincere, was available and ready to work. After viewing Mike Sincere's instagram and yahoo videos, we were totally excited to have them on board! If you were unaware, planning a wedding is a pain in the ass, and several changes, both planned and last minute, are bound to happen. Murphy's Law is the first law of all weddings. Through it all, Mike and Mike remained courteous, polite, patient, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were completely flexible, and rolled with each and every one of the many changes that occurred, and always answered our questions and concerns promptly, whether it was via text, email or phone. The day of the wedding was the biggest hiccup of all...Mike's vendor for dry ice got the wedding dates mixed up, and he called me that morning apologizing profusely for the fact that my daughter's first dance with her husband would not have the "Dancing on a Cloud" effect that was scheduled. I was disappointed, but I understood, and I assured Mike that I didn't blame him and that it would be alright. Sh!t happens sometimes that is outside of our control. And to be honest, there were a thousand other things going on that day that were more pressing. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I arrived at the venue two hours later and Mike Sincere informed me that Mike Valerio had called all around town to find a vendor with available dry ice and was personally delivering it to the wedding venue...DESPITE THE FACT that he had another event that day that he had to be at. At that point he didn't have to do it anymore, but he felt honor bound to provide the service that he promised, even though his vendor let him down. That's just superior customer service! Fast forward to the reception... Forgive the old skool slang (I'm a child of the 90's) but DJ Mike Sincere is HELLA HYPE! He's high energy, totally fun, and has the ability to read a crowd well and play the music that gets everyone on the dance floor. My nephew is 8, and spent 3 hours dancing like a madman. Afterwards he was telling everyone, "THIS IS THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!" My daughter, son in law, and all their friends spent the entire time after dinner either on the dance floor or at the open bar. Hell I spent some time on the dance floor myself! It was a great vibe, everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and man, was it fun! You get only a few perfect days in your life, and my daughter's wedding was one of those days. And it was perfect largely in part because of the tremendous effort and service provided by the crew at My Bridal DJ. Must have! DJ Mike was one of the best DJs I've encountered so far! He is super professional and had top notch customer service. I was amazed at his work ethic and how well timed the overall night turned out to be. His effort definitely made my night stress free and fun! Not forgetting to mention that several of my guests came up to me during the party and said that I found a really really good DJ. I booked Michael for a super last minute NYE event in Vegas. The booking process was super easy and he was very responsive. I went a little on a whim because it was a vip client and I only had Michaels 5star yelp reviews to lean on, but I was not disappointed! Michael went above and beyond to setup his equipment early the morning of the event. I advised him that the Vegas strip would be shut down to car traffic after 5 for the NYE crowds, so to take the absolute highest precaution and make sure he was ready, he showed up FIVE HOURS EARLY, without being asked. He also helped me to work out all the logistics and came back to pick his stuff up the next day - at no extra charge. He had an awesome setup complete with lights and a great sound system. He was flexible with all of the clients requests and accommodated all of their needs, which is what we needed for this high caliber client. And not to mention, he had a great playlist and really livened up the party. I would definitely recommend him and will be calling him in the future for all of our dj needs, in Vegas AND LA. read more
