Making this review while I'm on hold. I've been contemplating not returning to this place. We've been coming to this bakery since I was a kid. Every time I think we should give it another try, the professionalism reminds us why we stopped giving them our business. The employees obviously don't care, anytime you give them any feedback they just ignore it and move on with your order. This is a reflection of the owners. The owners are well aware of the criticism, and have done nothing to improve it. When you're in the bakery, you can feel the tension amongst the customers, expecting the attitude by the staff. One girl behind the counter had the rudest face expression I have ever seen a customer service employee, plus the way she talks to customers directing them like they were little children. re: cakes: the taste is good, but they won't really execute the design unless it's something they've done before or super basic. You coukd attempt to give super specific instructions, but even then it's iffy.. If you're looking for something trendy or detailed, I'd op for a different bakery. I would NOT recommend this bakery. I placed an order for a cake and when I picked it up, it was not what I ordered. When I called to let them know, instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, they were extremely rude and even called me a liar. They refused to give me a refund, even though the mistake was clearly theirs. On top of that, they are a cash-only business, which means customers have no protection if something goes wrong. This is unacceptable customer service. Mistakes can happen, but treating customers with disrespect and refusing to fix the issue is inexcusable. I will not be returning and would advise others to spend their money at a bakery that values its customers. NO recomiendo esta panadería. I've enjoyed coming to this bakery in San Fernando for the fresh breads and pastries, but I was disappointed during my last visit. I ordered the flan, and unfortunately it had gone bad. I was really looking forward to it, so it was a letdown. I do hope this was just a one-time mistake, because the other items I've tried before have been delicious and the staff has always been welcoming. All the helpful and good staff are gone and they have new employees who are disgruntled and unhappy. I went to this bakery to get a cake and saw that take cash only which I was ok with. I asked for the banana cake and was under the impression it would be about $25 or less which was what I was used to paying. Literal whipper buttercream and banana was all it was. And more cream than any bananas and $30 for the cake! I was like disbelief! I asked for a message to be written and it was chicken scratch written. Don't know what's going on with this bakery but it isn't looking good. Portos is cheaper for higher end cakes. Would love to support small business but unfortunately my bakery has been removed from my list of supporting. From bad service to expensive cakes I will not be returning. We have been buying cakes here for years and they have been getting worse, we decided to give it a try again for my daughter's birthday, and some of the strawberries tasted bad. People at the party threw away the cake and we apologized. We had 3 quarters left of a half sheet. We called to let them know and they told us to come down they would take care of it. Upon arrival Pedro the manager started sticking his bare hands in the cake and eating it saying nothing is wrong. He stated they made a bunch of cakes and we were the only one to complain. We will never return and I am filing a complaint with the BBB as well. I do not recommend this bakery there are so many betters ones. This bakery has probably the worst customer service you could imagine! I put in a preorder and deposit for a cake and I also ordered cupcakes and was under the impression that I paid for those in full. When I came in to pickup and pay my remaining balance for the cake the worker told me I owed more money than what was on my receipt. I eventually ended up speaking to owner of the bakery and she mentioned that I was supposed to take a picture of a separate piece of paper that apparently had the remaining balance of the cupcakes I ordered. I let her know I was never told to take a picture of a remaining balance that was apparently there and she said "that's your fault." I then asked her why didn't your worker just add the total on to the receipt I was given since on my receipt it had the amount of cupcakes I paid for and she couldn't answer my question and instead said "If you want the cupcakes you have to pay for them." Ultimately the owner took her own worker side in this scenario even though I was wrongly charged more money than what I was told upfront. I truly suggest everyone stay away from this bakery due to how they treat their customers! The owner doesn't have great problem solving skills because she could've just taken out a few of the cupcakes I apparently didn't pay for out to break even but instead went on the extreme side and told me I was wrong when I had proof that her worker made a simple mistake. read more

Ok it's been a while since I've been back here. I thought it would be a good place to get my birthday cake since I didn't need anything too big and fancy. My husband got me a strawberry and whipped cream white cake. Unfortunately it tasted a little old which is surprising because I know they usually go through most if not all of their cakes each day. Ordered a birthday cake for church members, it was so delicious and beautiful! My friends said it was the best they've ever had.

$40 dollars for a small 10 inch round cake I only bought it cuz I had already made the girl put writing on it, it really wasn't all that good,I got vanilla and strawberries and the frosting taste like nothing but whipped cream, cake was dry and strawberries pieces were all inconsistent sizes. If I could give this place 0 stars I would do it in a heartbeat! We walked in got ignored. The man behind us got served first and when I stepped in to get attended next, the old lady attending us went back to the man behind us and kept helping him out until the MAN HIMSELF had to tell her we were next! I was baffled and get this best part of all she has the audacity to have an attitude towards us. We showed her a simple design with a happy birthday on it she said " No, we can't do that we can only do a Spider-Man face on a round cake ." I said ok don't do the design just leave it blank a quarter dark blue and the rest red frosting and leave it completely blank we can handle the design:) right...... the lady then proceeded to tell me she couldn't do that either it could be only done half and half. Girl what?! Is this not a bakery? Where they decorate cakes ? Where you have cakes on display that have and I kid you not the most complex designs but can't put two colors of frosting on a rectangle cake? Oh ok yeah it's that type of bakery. Once I just had said " it's ok we won't be ordering the cake " she wanted to make the adjustment for the placement of the two colored frosting and mind you this is without any type of piping design on the cake!
