I have enjoyed ribs in different parts of the country and their ribs are solid. I had the 1/2 rack of the St. Louis ribs with their spicy Barbecue sauce (it wasn't very spicy for my taste but very good). I really enjoyed the ribs. The beans were good, however, they are just beans and I like the brisket baked beans that I often have in Texas. The baked beans did have good flavor. Did not care for the mini corn bread. The service was very good and seemed like really nice people. The next time I will like pick other sides (Mac and Cheese). Did not like much the baked potato salad. I am definitely coming back for their St. Louis ribs. They had sold out of rib tips and next time I will come earlier in the day for that. They deserve 5 stars. . Today my husband ordered the brisket, a couple racks of ribs, the Cole slaw, macaroni and a big brownie to top it all off! The brisket was melting in our mouths and had that perfect bend test when you put it on top of your finger! The macaroni was delicious too. My husband likes Cole slaw and said he loved it. The ribs were very good but I have had others that beat these ones out. I wasn't a huge fan of the rib bark flavor but that's all personal preference. I wanted to find a place with protein and I stumbled upon this bbq place. The service is great. Some stuff was unavailable probably due to how great the food is. The beef brisket was available and I got a lb of that. The meat was flavorful. I also got two sides, the mac and cheese and blocked bbq beans. The man I placed my order with, who I believe is the owner, his customer service and communication not only with the customers but also his workers is top notch!!! I listened to the way he explained the burnt ends to the customer in front of me in line was so informative and made me have to order some. EVERYTHING was beyond what I expected! I really had my hopes up for this place because of all the good reviews, but the ribs were incredibly dry, tough, and had very slimy, unrendered fat parts. Disappointed to spend $27 on a rack I couldn't even eat. read more

I ordered this place for the first time on Valentine's Day to try something new with my boyfriend. We were enjoying our meal until my boyfriend pulled out this HARD piece of plastic in his potato salad. It was not only hard but sharp. The people were extremely nice inside however that doesn't cover up finding hard plastic in your food. I'm glad he didn't ingest it or get hurt but this sucks especially after leaving a solid tip. I would have loved to of reported this on the website but I didn't see that as an option so i'm making this post. Not the greatest first impression. :/ read more

I've driven past My 4 Sons BBQ many times and have always wanted to try it. Luckily I was in the neighborhood with a friend and BBQ was on the menu that night. Came by Friday around 6 pm and the place had steady business. Had to wait in line for about 10 mins because this is a popular place. Got to the ordering counter & decided on the chicken plate with two sides, broccoli salad and baked potato salad. My friend got 1/4 lb of pulled pork and side of mac n cheese. We decided to dine in at one of the four tables. After we got our order we sat down and dug in. The chicken was peppered and smoked and delicious. Love the broccoli salad! Ordered online, came inside to pick up and was surprised to see what a wide selection of beers and ciders they had for being a smaller restaurant. Only $100 for my order, tax and 20% tip included! Tried this BBQ spot for the first time today and honestly had a really good experience! The baked beans were pretty good--personally I think they could've been cooked just a little longer, but still tasty. My boyfriend got the broccoli salad and LOVED it (he's a big fan of broccoli and coleslaw, so it was basically a two-in-one win for him). Both barbecue sauces were amazing, but we both agreed the spicy one takes the crown. The pulled pork sandwich was a little on the dry side, so we definitely put that sauce to work--but even then, it was still pretty solid. The atmosphere was great and everyone working was super nice. I ordered on line and got a rib plate with Mac n cheese and beans. A Brisket plate with ribs added. A pulled pork plate with pulled chicken with potato salad and cornbread. Also got a 1/2 Lb of burnt ends. All of the meat Was very good, but some the burnt ends were a little tuff. The beans were a little dry and not great but I don't really like baked beans anyway so no big deal. The potato salad was under cooked imo but good flavor. The service was quick and friendly it only took a few minutes to get my order ready once I arrived. The dining area is small but clean and looks like a BBQ joint. No big deal, training someone takes time and you have to do it some time. They welcomed every patron that came in and thanked them for their patience when leaving. They have a few tables, but ordered to go. Now for the important stuff... the food. 1. The Brisket. I love brisket. It's my favorite BBQ option. However, I am not a fan of the fatty/wet majority. Before they had asked if you wanted the lean side or the other, this time nope. Definitely fattier than I like. 2. Burnt Ends. My first time trying them here, pretty tender but some pieces were 100% fattyness. Again, see #1 not a fan of the extra fatty meat. 3. Sides. The broccoli salad was my favorite. The baked potato salad was super rich, but not bad. The macaroni and cheese wasn't bad. We came here a couple years ago so hopefully they've changed, but when we came we noticed not a single burner was on on their stove. What kind of restaurant doesn't have their stove on?? Everything was precooked and heated in a microwave. The mac and cheese tasted like plastic wrap and was super dried out on top, like it had reverted back to actual dried pasta. The meat was dry, everything was dry. I guess that's what you get when you don't actually cook things for your customers. Severely disappointed, that's why we haven't been back. read more

When I tell you I went on 7/4/23 I felt like I ate brisket soaked in oil. The baked beans were not cooked all the way. The Mac n cheese had no real flavor. Added salt and bbq sauce and I still left it. The cold slaw was dry like it had never seen moisture. A lady came in and walked straight over to me and said "I have never been here what do you think?" I told her "if you like oily meat with no flavor, uncooked beans, dry slaw and bland Mac n cheese have at it." Who I went with was very upset that I suggested this place. Both of our stomachs hurt still 7/5. My suggestion is make your own or only order the beef ribs. You guys had great service, but it was extremely warm in there too.
