Well now I know why this play isn't that busy. When the boss is gone the employees demand tips. I had a 1 hour massage and paid with debit card my last $50 due to severe neck issues I had to come in.After I paid I handed the lady $5 for a tip in cash,it was all I had. She said 1 hour massage is a $10 tip! First of all her massage isn't as good as Amy who is the owner I believe. For someone to demand a tip for subpar service is so un professional. So I went to write a yelp review and noticed the one from above from a month or two ago so I'm gonna leave that one there. Today I went in for a massage the lady cannot communicate with me because she's limited on her English and I was asking for a massage she said that she has an appointment and it's been 15 minutes and there's still no appointment here. I could have just said I was the appointment. There's literally only one woman here which could be a safety issue as well. I'm told to Come back in an hour well I don't have time to come back in an hour so they're losing business this way but I guess not because there's only one employee.This lady is the one by the way who said I should give $10 last time. I literally left with a deep bruise that the masseuse caused during my massage, the whole time on the table was miserable and I ended my session early. The first time in probably over 5 years of bi monthly massages at another establishment, never will I return to this place again. This is another location that cannot communicate to its customers. I'm updating my review two years later. I've been coming here very consistently for over two years now (and referring family members here) and today was sadly the last straw for me. It used to be great here but over the last six or so months the woman who runs it has become increasingly rude. She went from greeting me at the door and giving a water bottle and candy at the end every time to beginning to be rude or dismissive on the phone (which I didn't care because I always end up having Karina massage me and she is sweet and amazing) and now she's just come so far from how she used to be. The last four times I've come here I've had my time shortened midway through (ex. from 30 to 10 because they have walk ins who want longer massages). She is also extremely rude to Karina, barking orders at her with little to no respect. Today I called ahead like I always do and arrived 15 minutes later as discussed on the phone. The boss abrasively told me I was too late and they were too busy now (one walk in for a long massage was there) so it it would be ten minutes and then I'd need to go. I could have gone anywhere but I called and drove there and not only was it not honored (again) but it's shocking to me that she continues to make it clear they don't value me as a customer because I am consistent and I tip very very good. I have gone here many times and it's hit or miss. The last time I went to get a foot massage, she was requiring me to pay for the foot massage and tip up front. I told her that I was not going to pay for an hour massage up front especially the tip as well. I told her that I would pay half up front and half at the end and then the tip at the end and she kept saying I had to pay everything up front. Like I said, I've gotten many foot massages there and never had this issue. It seems like they are SCAMMING customers and having them pay up front and then giving them a short massage. My fiancé and I went tonight and had a couples massage... the massage itself was okay BUT the two masseuses talked to each other the entire time and my lady left the room THREE times in one hour!! Did she make up for the time and keep massaging longer? Ha! Yeah right! Then she complained about her tip. Excuse me lady... we don't HAVE to tip you! I went here for the first time to get a foot massage back in July, as I was having a lot of pain in both feet. Even though I made this clear, they still insisted on massaging my neck and face. I don't like for anything to touch my face except for when I get a facial, and my neck felt fine. I wanted the areas of pain to be the focus. Anyways, the foot massage was decent, but still not quite what I was looking for. The woman wasn't firm enough; it was too gentle. Moving on, they have tables set up right when you walk in the salon, and this is where I was worked on. There are rooms down the hall, not sure what those rooms are for. I came back for a second time a couple months later (in October) and no one was in sight when I walked in. A minute later, a woman that worked there came out of one of the back rooms in a hurry, looking disheveled. She explained to me she was with a client and that I would need to come back in 30 minutes. The whole thing felt bad and icky. What was she doing in that back room and why was her hair such a mess? I wasn't put into a back room when I went in for a massage; they told me that they worked on people out in the front room, and this is where they worked on me. So what service do they offer, that takes place in one of the back rooms with the door closed? I had heard a couple rumors about this place before; after my last experience of going there and the employee coming out of the backroom, I'm inclined to believe those rumors. I do know for certain that owners of a massage parlor at this location were arrested a few years back for prostitution. However, from what I understand, this place supposedly has new owners. All I know is, I wouldn't be surprised if illegal activities are still going on there. read more

This place is convenient and one of the cleaner massage businesses. I've only ever had to wait once so it's nice to be able to walk in. That said, I was somewhat disappointed with the quality of the massage today. It seemed the lady didn't really know what she was doing and didn't massage my entire foot. When you order a "foot massage" that implies the entire foot not just the arches and a little bit of time on the toes. She never even worked on my heals or ankles. I've also noticed what seems to be a recent trend to answer cell phones or text while working on a client. I've experienced it here today, at the chiropractor's office, and and Hands of Joy. Why is this acceptable? If I have the manners to turn off my phone, I expect the same in return. read more
