Not sure if it's called Dream massage anymore. They might change the name I came in here because my back was bothering me. They did a great job on the massage got the right spot and those knots that I had. read more

I got a 30 minute minute massage and it was $40, so I gave her $45. She then said "that's it? You need to tip me another $5?" Absolutely never going back there. read more

The place is horrible. The worker tried to cut my hour massage down to 30 minutes because she didn't have enough workers and take the full price but luckily we were able to negotiate down to the 30 minutes price. I gave her a tip and she expressed to give her a bigger tip while I still wanted to stay for an hour massage but I couldn't. She yelled at me to get out!! I am never going back! read more

Prior to my husband and I getting a massage, we read the reviews. We still went ahead and gave this place the benefit of the doubt. After we got our massage, the first words that came out of my mouth were "the reviews were to the T (true)". We were asked to pay upfront, I was given the receptionist as my masseuse. She kept answering phones & also kept stepping out to help customers. My husband and I confronted her and she offered to give me an extra 5 minutes. Once my husbands time was up, my masseuse said, "okay your time is up, thank you" that was when I confronted her again and said, "ummm.... no, it's not" the odd thing about it all was that my husbands masseuse was still massaging him when my masseuse was telling me that my time was up. How is that, right? We were both so unhappy with our service that I told my husband that we were NOT tipping. We 99.9 % of the time tip, but I am against crappy service and also people that take advantage! Therefore, I told my husband that we were going To walk out since we had already paid for our service. As we were walking out, they said, "Tip, Tip?" And my husband said, "maybe next time". The masseuse has the nerve to tell him that she works off of tips. Like yeah, right and if it is true, then, she would have a great law suit towards her employer. Oh, and by the way, the towels smelled like cigarettes & I saw my masseuse or I should say receptionist put back the towel she used on me back into the steamer. I'm assuming that way she can re use it one someone else. This place is a joke! Don't waste your time and money. read more

I am leaving this review, because it's important for people to know what they are getting into. I scheduled a one hour deep tissue massage that cost $60 which is a normal rate. They make you pay for the massage before you receive your massage which is not uncommon practice. I normally straight off the bat leave a 10 dollars tip for the person, and give additional cash after my massage is done depending how good the massage was. My experience was less they desirable for a couple reasons. The first was that it was not a deep tissue massage in any way. The masseuse did not apply even half the pressure that any other masseuse I have ever had. The OIL was 3x more then any person would ever need to get a massage... crazy amounts! I would have been able to slide on asphalt like it was a Slip and Slide. The only reason I don't give this a one star is because the masseuse was able to locate one of the areas that I was having tightness and did a so-so job on that area. My last, but not least complaint (and majority reason I'm leaving this review), is after the massage was over and I was walking to the lobby to leave, the lady had my receipt on the counter, and said something to the effect of, "ten dollars" and pointed at my receipt. I was confused about what she was saying/asking and to sum up a confusing conversation, she wanted me to add an additional $10 to the receipt/her tip. I was so taken aback by this I didn't know what to say.. except no. I normally would have given up to $20 in tip for a great massage, but for a what I received $10 dollars was fitting. Do not recommend this place and I will never go back again. Hopefully this saves someone from having a horrible experience. read more

I have to drop 2 stars.. my regular masseuse is gone! 2 good ones there that I know of for some reason, left at the same time. Massage is an integral part of my life. So, we went anyways to try with newer staff. Not the same. My gal was amazing at what she does. My back knots were screaming in need. She was deliberate and strong. However, when she came into the room, first red flag was that she exclaimed that she had forgetten her phone. Oh.. no. No phone, please! I said nothing and just closed my eyes, trying to relax. I was praying that for 60 min, she could leave the phone alone. Music came on her phone and then she began massaging my neck one handed, other hand texting! Ugh! Then on the table, it would vibrate. Then she went to check/ text from it again later, it fell off its post and expletives could be heard from her as she was massaging my back. I still said nothing but I wanted to tell her how much more money she could make if she could just turn her phone off. The 'salon' has a music system but she explained that she does not bother with it. Still tipped but inclined now to find a new place. Disappointing. read more

We were a bit skeptical to trying this place due to the reviews and the person Jimmy not available, but my husband went and I believe the person named Alyssa helped him. He said his neck was in pain from our hospital stay recently. I will try to get over and try this same person for a prenatal massage hopefully soon. He said the massage really helped his neck!! Thank you! read more

The massage itself was ok. It wasn't as good as the nicer places but i guess you get what you pay for. It was a little hard at first but she eased up after I asked her to. She also took a phone call in the middle of the massage. I'm not mad, I understand it could have been a family emergency. I heard a woman talking loudly. Sounded heated. Anyway, there was a mid week special for an hour massage. I chose and paid for that but only got 45 minutes. Exactly 45. Not 46 or 47, or anything closer to an hour, but 45 min on the dot. I didn't think that was cool. I thought it might have been a misunderstanding but when the massage was over she asked for payment by pointing to the sign that says one hour with the price on it. Oh well. She was nice and I did enjoy it. read more

I was not happy with the service. I asked for a 30 min foot massage for 2 people and they took us to a room with tables, I told them it was supposed to be a foot massage and they took us to a couch type area. My friend only got a half massage, the lady left for a long time and didn't do a great job. Mine was ok. I think I was over charged also. I paid $80 for 2 people 30 min foot massage. I would have said something but their English wasn't good and I was already late for a movie. So I just left but I'm miffed that I paid that much and it wasn't that great. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. This is a VERY shady strange foot massage facility. They don't have the reclining chairs for foot massage. Only a bazaar pedicure looking bench, or you can go into a room. The man who greeted me explained the process and talked me into a full body massage, because the foot massage area was so uncomfortable. He showed me the room and I had to leave. It had an OLD flannel sheet with lots black hairs on it, with an even OLDER floral sheet you could see through to cover you up with. The face cradle was so disgusting he even went to look for a new one. The place was very dirty and a man was there with his kids talking to a woman loudly in the back. Very strange behaviors happening. I told the man thank you, but no thanks. I left and went to another foot massage place down the street! read more

Dream Massage - ALERT DO NOT GO HERE! - Massage Near Me - Bakersfield, California

The massage was great I can't complain about it but the only thing is that the massage therapist was blowing her nose while she was giving me a massage, how ever I don't understand why would someone massage a customer while your blowing your nose if your not feeling well and it's not sanitary. I'm never coming here again, if they want their business to grow then they should start acting more professional read more

My husband has been getting massages here for a while. Recently his regular masseuse left. He got a massage from someone else & wasn't impressed. He tipped her $10 for a $60 service. I got a gift certificate for a massage at this place for Christmas. I called to ask if they had couples massage and what pricing would be. They said yes they do couples massage and gave me a price on what it would be. So my boyfriend and I go in and they gave me a different price then they told me Over the phone. The guy ended up making it right and giving us the price they said over the phone so I was happy about that (even though my boyfriend ended up paying them the higher quoted price anyways ) Then came time for the massage part. They don't do couples massage!! They put us in separate rooms. We would have came anyways because I had the gift certificate but I felt like they said anything just to get us In the door like a bait and switch. The guy I had was Petter, the massage was ok I don't like a lot of pressure which I told him before we started and he still hurt me in some areas and did some weird techniques I am not used to that other places don't usually do. On a different note my boyfriend liked his massage . Most likely won't be coming back. read more

Have been going to Jimmy twice a month for almost four months and he is wonderful. He is able to work out to knots without any soreness the next day. He is great and I would recommend him to all my friends. While I don't suffer from headaches or migraines, he has also been trained to ease that pain, as well as back and leg pain associated with sciatica. Overall very good and a very kind man. read more

Great massage. Set up is different from the rest of the massage places in town, but it was a good experience. No issues at all. Didn't experience any issues that the first reviewer experienced. Perhaps it was just growing pains from just opening? Will definitely be back! Plus they have a punch card that after 10 Massages you get one 50% off, score. My masseuse Nelida was great. read more

Overall the experience was pretty enjoyable, I'm pretty tall and even so, peter, my masseuse worked pretty hard on my knots during the deep tissue massage. The only thing that I didn't like was over the phone, the woman who answered was very insistent on us coming and on the price, and then when we showed up the people working didn't seem to understand what we were talking about. They don't do couples massage, which is what we asked for over the phone, and they put us in separate rooms anyways but, it was probably for the best cause it forced me to relax even more. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I checked in at 4:19- the girl to give me massage did not walk in until 4:25. Fast forward 20 mins she leaves the room comes back and wipes my feet with a wet towel. How they are still in business I will have no idea. read more

I was very disappointed with my massage here for the price I paid. The first 40 minutes of my massage the guy doing my massage was barely doing anything even though I asked for hard pressure since I have so many knots. It literally felt like he was just rubbing in lotion the whole time. After 40 minutes I had to ask the front desk to change the person because I was so unhappy with massage and at the end all the could do was apologize and tell me that he was new and didn't know what he was doing. read more

Would give zero starts if possible. At the end of an overpriced and unenjoyable massage, the lady asked for a bigger tip. Won't be back. Much better options in Bakersfield. Not sure how they rank so high in reviews? We had a couples massage, the room was too warm we were sweating under the sheet. A man and woman came in, no introduction, no asking for concerns or areas to focus, just went to work. The masseuse had to climb on the bed and still wasn't able to apply enough pressure to my husband and mostly worked on his legs. I'm really not sure they are qualified as today I feel horrible with aching pain in my neck and back. They left the room several times to get things and each time the door was left open while half my body was completely exposed to the hallway. And for some reason they kept turning the lights on and off. The only reason we left any tip was we arrived 1/2 hour early for our appointment and they were ready for us. read more

I had a massage by NORMA today. I have been having trouble with my hip for weeks. Been in ER an nothing helps. Worse pain I ever had. Getting a massage by NORMA was the best decision I ever made. She had excellent consistent pressure. She stretched my leg an hip. After the massage I could actually walk with no pain at all. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NORMA. I will be going back weekly. Hands down the best massage I've had! Dream massage has a inviting atmosphere. Marshel was my masseuse, I told her all my problem areas and she literally made me feel like I was in a dream! I had been carrying a lot of tension on my neck, shoulders, and back. I have been to several massage parlors but never left feeling 100% satisfied. First of all she spoke English so I can actually speak to her, second she was very informative, and knows exactly what she is doing. I highly recommend Marshel! I woke up the next day feeling 100% well rested and relaxed! read more

Just came back from this place. It is awesome! I would say the best massage I have ever had in California. Jimmy gave me so good massage for my full body. I'm a swimmer and just moved to New house, so I had a lot of work out my last two weeks. He made my muscles relax from pain. If you like deep tissue massage, you should definitely check out this place. Finally, I found very good place. One hour body massage costs $60. It it's little over priced compare with other places, but massage 100 % better. I will definitely come back. Thanks! read more

Jimmy... Jimmy ...Jimmy!!! He's just the best and he's just so sweet. When I come to visit my boyfriend in Bakersfield this is a Must!

I get massages often and love them. I went to Dream Massage as I received a gift certificate for a $60 massage. My first impression was negative as they didn't know what to do with it and kept asking me for some number, but I wasn't clear what they wanted. My second negative impression was when I went to the room there was no sheet to lie under, but was shown a folded up towel with no explanation, but which I used to cover myself. I'm certainly glad I left my undies on as she had no concept of modesty and I had to keep adjusting the towel to get coverage. My third negative was this was not a massage, but a hard rub down with bony arms and elbows, during which I twice had to tell her she was hurting me running her elbow hard up my spine, not along side it, but bone on bone. She left the room twice, leaving the door open, to get more oil and to greet a customer, who she walked past my open door. I should have walked out at that point, but hoped the massage to improve...it didn't. There is absolutely no spa ambiance which for a $60 massage one would expect. I left no tip. I would not go back and do not recommend this place. If there was a zero rating I would give it one. read more

I don't like having to give bad reviews but this business does not know how to run a business. First the place does not feel like a spa and the price is way higher then most places that do a better job then them. Now I know why I was able to get in last minute. At the end of the message I was demanded how much I was to tip them. I tipped them on the service I felt I got and they made me feel like I was not aloud to leave till I doubled my tip. I told them that is what I wanted to tip and sorry I can't change the paper. Yet still pressuring me to the point where I did change it on my card Receipt. Also me being in one room and my best friend in another we paid for the same message and what she got was way different then what I got. Even their massages aren't consistent. All I have to say is I will not be going back here ever again. read more

Is it possible to receive a bad massage? I didn't think so. I bought my bf a gift cert for his birthday and we finally cashed it out. 2 hour long massages and 2 back scrubs. Our masseuses talked the whole time to each other and at one point one even took a phone call and talked very loudly on the phone for 5+ minutes. They weren't going to do the back scrub that I paid for because there were people waiting but I spoke up so they hurried through it. They also did the whole massage with the door open while my boyfriend and I were nude on the tables. Feast your eyes! But still very unprofessional and def not relaxing. Then they had the audacity to ask for a tip as we were leaving. Uhm no. read more
