100% recommend Delight Massage! $60 for a full hour massage and free hot stone upgrade. I have been coming here for 2 years and always get my massage with Cindy- she's great! I've sent all my friends and family to her. I get really bad pain in my neck, shoulders, and upper back & Cindy always makes it so much better. She also makes it a point to stretch you out towards the end of the massage which always results in fantastic back cracking lol I like deep pressure massages and even though she's petite- she really gets in there! She's also really good at checking to make sure the pressure is okay before proceeding. Here are some things to know before going: 1. Yes you will pay upon arriving. It's not a big deal 2. Yes there are suggested "Tip" amounts posted on the wall. Also not a big deal. In fact this is the only place I actually gladly tip generously. They deserve it! 3. They accept walk ins! But it's always better to call ahead. TLDR: If you're in Bakersfield- stop reading and just go here. Best experience in my 10+ years of getting massages. read more

This place is never open. I have been by at least ten times since early September and there has been and still is a sign on the door that says I am out please call 421 XXXX . Not sure what happened. read more

I paid $93 for a 90 minute massage. I asked the lady if she did deep tissue massages since it wasn't specified on the service menu. I'm not sure if she understood me or not because of the language barrier -- so if you have past injuries or specifications for your massage, I wouldn't recommend this place due to lack of communication and language. Luckily I didn't so I just told her I needed a deep tissue massage hoping she understood. To start, the table had a thin sheet I laid out to cover myself with. Usually places have another thicker sheet/blanket but oh well! I told myself it didn't matter. I'm pretty conservative mind you, so when she started whipping the sheet around and exposing me without consideration and bending my knees while exposing between my legs, I felt uncomfortable and couldn't relax the entire time. At one point, my entire back side was completely exposed and the sheet wasn't covering me. I was extremely uncomfortable with that. When I flipped over for her to do my front side, she accidentally exposed my breast. Again, I felt extremely uncomfortable even though she said "oops, sorry!" As for the massage itself, it felt unorganized and all over the place. Usually therapist will slow their way into it and work their way around. This lady was all over the places and wasn't smooth. I felt like her thumbs were poking me all over instead of doing a deep tissue. Some parts felt great, don't get me wrong, but she rubbed my triceps so hard with her thumbs I was bruised the next day. When I flipped over to have my front side done, she never worked on my traps, front shoulders, or chest. She spent all her time on my legs (which I couldn't care less about compared to my back, traps, and shoulders). Last thing, when I went to pay at the end of it, she was hovering over me to see if I was going to tip (I'm assuming). Normally people don't hover over you while you're tipping, it's awkward and kinda rude. Overall, I won't be going back. Maybe this is just a bad experience for me. Idk but most massage places are considerate while exposing only the necessary body part and being methodical with the massage. read more

Okay so I've gotten massages all my life. I lived in LA where I always paid top dollar for a good massage cuz obviously I want it to be worth it. This place and its staff were incredible. The best massage I've ever gotten in Bakersfield hands down. I'm gonna go here every time now. Seriously, the lady that helped me was so thoughtful and listened to the areas I had issues in and relieved so much tension I had. Definitely worth the money. read more

They have a unique and professional techniques that most other places lack. Very nice and polite as well. I honestly don't see this kind of service in many Chinese businesses. Andy was my masseur. I'm impressed and definitely will come back. I hope I'll have the same good experience next times. read more

Most of the time I've come here it was a decent massage, but it looks like management changed. Now they are bad. The lady I just had now for massage haggled hard over how much tip i should give. Someone should tell them tip is OPTIONAL and it's rude and unprofessional to haggle and beg over tips. She held my $20 bill hostage as i simply asked for $10 back. She first said "so hard, I'm very tired" and motions to want to keep the entire $20 bill. I then said "no, $10 back please". She then offers $5 back saying "so hard, very tired" and i say again "$10 please". She finally gives me $10, saying "so tired", to which i say, "next time I'll ask for a guy" which I doubt she understood due to language barrier. I should've taken the whole $20 back. I'm not that muscular a guy even, 5'10", 175. The massage wasn't even that good, actually quite bad. I had to remind her to get my lower back. She didn't seem to have any tactile sense, just digging in her elbows anywhere in my back, thinking harder means better. Her nails were rough and she literally was just scratching my hair as part of the massage. Thinking of all the other heads of hair she had scratched with those same rough fingernails and gunk underneath them is kind of gross. I think this is the same lady mentioned in previous reviews with rough sharp nails because at one point i thought she drew blood when her nails scratched my ear as she was massaging them. Also, she has such poor awareness of body mechanics she sprained my thumb as she was using it to pull my arm for a stretch. You don't use a thumb to pull an entire arm. Basically, don't come here. Bad massage and they haggle you for tips. read more

The masseuse nails hurt me, felt long, and I've never felt any roughness from fingers, almost callus like thumbs that I experienced today. My neck felt like it was being exfoliated. No awareness of her nails from the employee beforehand? Lack of preparation to give massages? Felt unprofessional. **please practice and train employees on upkeeping hygiene** Anyways I had to tell her to stop massaging a few times and to be gentle because of how painful the massage was feeling. It was a hard decision to stop all together since I was in desperate need of a massage and my first time here was pleasant. I was explaining my neck pain, how the massage felt good at one point because of how tense I was feeling the night prior, having experienced inability to sleep due to the pain, thanking the masseuse for focusing on the area I was requesting. She called an older lady that spoke on her behalf when I walked in, who also kept repeating "1 hour" when I was requesting 30 min, and they were talking in their language, giggling, and I asked if everything was ok. The masseuse seemed to not understand or speak English, so the older lady just made sure I was okay, I repeated myself, but she seemed to not understand me either. She left and the masseuse continued. I tried to explain my neck pain and ask her to focus on a certain area.... No response. I then asked her 3x if she spoke or knows English, but it was dead silent. Almost like talking to a wall. Super awkward and just also felt bad for her inability to not speak English? How is she to communicate with customers? Was I being purposely ignored? Will never know. She was nice and offered me we bottle of water afterwards, but I wanted to get out ASAP. My first experience was nothing but pleasant. This time around I felt disgusted and quickly went home to shower and disinfect my shoulders and whole back. I was still in pain and could feel my irritated skin slightly burn the whole 15 min drive home. read more

Went here the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I had a nice massage and felt great. The only thing lacking was the feeling that it was relaxing. There wasn't any music for the first half of my massage so I could hear employees cleaning, talking, etc. then when the masseuse would leave to get a towel or the hot stones the door was very loud. It just wasn't as relaxing as I would like it. I would recommend coming here and would go back. read more

Only reason i'm giving this place one star is because of fraud & dishonesty ! Massage was great but the charge was suppose to be $60 for a full hour ! I swiped my card signed my name on the reciept for $60 no tip because i gave the lady $6 cash whether that may be low or not only to find out when looking at my bank app thag she added her own tip on there end is wrong ! Charge on the card ended up being $74.40 ! Plus what i gave in cash! read more

Delight Massage - Adding there own tip without consent ?!!! - Massage Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Professional, good customer service. Patient and gentle with my physical limitations. Deep tissue massage helped my stiff neck a lot although at times I had to cry "uncle" from the pain. They accommodated me and still gVs me effective treatment. read more

This place was the best massage place I've had in my life. The lady knows how to massage your entire body and she works hard throughout the whole hour. She kept checking if I was okay and controlled the strength. After the massage was done, my muscles were relaxed from tiring work. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone else. read more

I've been coming here for many years. Back when Susan was always there it was the best place in town. Ever since she left the massages have gotten worse and worse each time I go. And they've begun the typical "You tip more?!?" garbage that you run into at low quality places. So it looks like it's time to part ways with Delight Massage and look for a new place. read more

Wow! Place is plain but the ambience is peaceful. Staff is very friendly. Myself and my wife went for a 1 hour couples massage. We were in for a surprise. I asked for a hard massage and my wife asked for a moderate to hard massage. Our massage therapist were Cindy (for me) and Sophia (for my wife). Cindy is very strong and I'm a big guy and it was perfect for me. Sophia worked on my wife and it was perfect for her. My center of focus was my lower back. Cindy worked on my back for 30 minutes and the other 30 was spent on the rest of my body. These massage therapist know what they are doing and nothing short of amazing. Absolutely recommend to anyone in the Bakersfield area. Must try! Paid $60/person read more

So they say their tip rates are $5 for 30 and $10 for 60. Well I didn't enjoy it AT ALL, and yet I felt bad and wanted to leave a $5 tip, and was told no I cant do that I MUST tip $10. That was being forced to double my tip. I should have walked right out of there. BEWARR THIS PLACE! They price gouge you by forcing you to tip and then forcing you to increase their tip because they feel you owe them more. There is no tip minimum. We tip what we felt you deserve. It is extremely rude to tell me my tip is not enough and you want more. Glad I will never go back here ever again. read more

I have been working a lot of overtime, had muscle aches and an extreme headache so I did my research as I've been going to the wrong massage peeps off of 24th street. Well, Cindy was amazing and I got this massage business off of the internet and Yelp; did not disappoint. I feel 125% better. I even came home and showered, still drinking lots of water and even decided to eat healthy to go with this feeling of wellness. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! P.S. no creepy feeling about this establishment read more

The massage was good but I did not like how the therapist switch towards the end the male masseuse was very fast and seemed rushed. The lady was very good. And they require a 20% tip and do ask for it. read more

This place is a joke. The owner is trying to deny what actually happened. I posted my Groupon to show that the owner is full of it claiming i didn't receive a massage. Obviously I struck a nerve! Why would I leave a tip just because someone is begging? I would have left a tip if the staff didn't feel entitled to one. Tips are not mandatory and an employee shouldn't ask a customer for one. Imagine going out to dinner and the server begging for a tip?! Lol this place is a twilight zone. read more

Delight Massage - The owner is trying to say I lied on my review! I was there. Do not visit this establishment!!!! - Massage Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Out of all the massages that I've had in Bakersfield, this was by far the best! I love to get massages, and I've tried so many of the various massage parlors and spas in Bakersfield this year, trying to find my favorite. I'm very happy that I found this place because it was a perfect experience, so I no longer have to continue searching for a great massage. Cindy was amazing. If you want to experience the best massage that California has to offer, go to Delight Massage and ask for Cindy. She is super polite and friendly, but also a wonderful massage therapist. She fixed all of the painful, tense muscles in my back and shoulders, and I left feeling so relaxed. The price is unbeatable and the experience was perfect. Thanks so much, Cindy! read more

I was inside Reflexology Massage and so frustrated for I relied their ADS if accepting Walk Ins. Delight Massage pop up in my search and so close to where am at. I haven't been there before. I felt so blessed that they took me in and had a very good back massage and the best stretching therapy I ever had. I had a Sciatica on and off , and those assisted stretches eases the sore spot and what a relief I had that I added more tips. The place was hygienic, clean with good ambience. The staff was very accommodating, pleasant and friendly. Am so happy to discover this Healthy Massage place... You'll be happy too Jean O read more

I live out of the area but wanted a massage for the night that I would be in Bakersfield. I was able to see Summer for a one hour Swedish Massage. She gave me exactly the kind of relaxing, legitimate, and nurturing treatment that I was hoping for. I will certain return here next time I am traveling through town. read more

I rarely do reviews on anything, but this was the worst massage experience I've ever had and first time I didn't fall asleep. For starters we were asked to pay in advance and this is the first time I've ever had this happen. Wife and I went for massages on Labor Day and the masseuse's talked in another language the ENTIRE massage over the walls. Very distracting and not relaxing at all. She spent over 30 minutes of the hour doing a dry massage and walking on my back. She rubs oil on back of my legs and immediately wipes it off with a towel after about 30 seconds. Lastly, my feet weren't even touched and she said ok all done. When I asked about my feet she said next time book 90 minutes because your big and tall I spent more time on your back. WTH!!! read more

This place is incredible. My partner injured his back and they've pretty much fixed him right up. I've had a messed up shoulder for years and it feels better than it has since it was injured. I just can't recommend them enough. And for the price, you can't beat it! read more

I did a last minute walk in and they were able to accommodate me! I had serious tension in my back, shoulder and neck. She found the knots immediately and really worked on them. I've had a headache for days and it's gone now. She also did some stretches at the end that got my bones to crack and release a lot of that pain. Highly recommend. I was pleasantly surprised with the massage here. read more

Delight was an amazing experience. We called Ahead of time for a couples massage. The staff was professional and kind. The experience was positive from start to finish. The massage was one of the best I have ever had. They asked me what specific area I wanted them to focus on and how much pressure did I want during the massage. You pay up front, you don't have to tip till after. There was no pressure to tip. The service was great so we tipped accordingly. I will be back with my wife. This is our new spot. Date night! 90 min massage! read more

My girlfriend and I came here for the 60 min massage. Honestly worth every penny. Best massage we've experienced here in Bakersfield 10/10 recommend. read more

This is a small shop without an overuse of opulence frequently experienced at some spa's. If glitz and pageantry are high on your list this place isn't for you. Many places (especially the chains) are staffed with recent graduates who are still developing their craft. This establishment has seasoned therapists who are very good at what they do. They are kind and attentive which is important when you have the hand strength of someone who could tear a phone book in two. I have had several massages where they lacked the hand strength required and this certainly isn't the case here. The massages are amazing and I enjoyed the stretching. I have had two sessions here and will be back for sure. If you want a very well done massage by great therapist's without unnecessary decorum this is a great choice. read more

Very rude customer service. The point of a massage is to reduce stress. They do quite the opposite. Make sure to send all your enemies here.

My wife and I just had an amazing experience with Delight Massage, you guys did an awesome job! We will be coming back next month forsure!

I have been here twice & I will continue coming ! It was such a great experience the first time that's why I continue coming . Awesome! Suzanne my masseuse was amazing. This is a full Asian massage btw. And its not your typical foot massage place. I would say more upscale. only rooms. They speak great English too. I made my appointment through Yelp with no problem. I also purchased a Groupon for 36.00 plus the 20% off local deals. I had no issues using my groupon. I did tip her 10.00 though and no one was chasing me out lol. she actually did a great massage. she hit all my concerned areas. I left feeling brand new! I will definitely be back. I have been searching for a massage therapist in town and found this hidden gem today! Called this morning and they were able to get me in this afternoon! I had Cindy and it was the BEST MASSAGE IF MY LIFE. She seemed so thorough and asked how the pressure was many of times. I had a 90 min massage and she included stretches I didn't even know I needed ( but boy did I!) The massage included hot stones which was a nice surprise. The place was very clean including the bathroom. The owner was very commutative and kind! I will absolutely be returning and recommending this establishment. read more

This is the worst massage place I've ever been to. First off, they make you pay before you even get the massage- which is weird, but with all the grab-n-go crime I understand the necessity. Second, I do not like to get undressed to get a massage, I go to places that have those comfy reclining chairs and get a half foot half back massage- when I saw they had the half n half on their menu I asked for it thinking it was the same as the other couple places I frequent. Well, it wasn't. She leads me to a room, I tell her no, I want a massage in that chair, I don't want to get undressed. So, begrudgingly, she leads me to the chair and begins massaging my feet and legs- I can tell she's annoyed and doing a half hearted job. When it's time for the back massage she has me get on the table next to the chair and then starts telling me that I HAVE to take off my dress. Over and over again she is telling me "take off your dress, you have to take off your dress!" I keep telling her no, but she keeps arguing. Finally I just gathered my things, told her I was leaving, and I left. As I'm walking out she's still saying "you have to, you have to!" It was so weird. I'll never go back. It was also hot as hades in there. 0/10, would not recommend. read more
