I've been coming to Foot Reflexology for a while and the staff is always polite and welcoming. I originally called hoping to schedule a 120-minute deep tissue massage but was told they only offer up to 90 minutes. The massage itself was relaxing, but it definitely wasn't deep tissue. Over my last few visits, the quality hasn't felt as consistent as it used to be. One thing I still find strange is that despite the name "Foot Reflexology," my feet are never actually massaged during a full-body session. I used to really look forward to coming here, but now I mostly stop in only when I really need a massage. read more

Decided to treat myself and get a foot massage. Used to come here often and wanted to check it out again while I was in town. Didn't realize it had changed ownership. Called in for an appointment for a 1 hour foot massage. Nice receptionist, easy booking. But once the massage started, I was already skeptical. The masseuse was nice but there was absolutely no technique or pressure. He was just rubbing my calves in oil up and down with no pressure whatsoever. I asked for more pressure and he said he understood. But he continued to just rub my legs and feet. Instead of a massage it felt like I was just getting stroked. Left the experience unsatisfied. Told the receptionist and she was kind enough to offer a $5 credit. Didn't take it because I won't be going back. read more

I recently went for a full body 90 minutes massage (60 body and 30 feet), and it was extremely relaxing. The lady that helped me was Susan and she did a phenomenal job. I really appreciate her for asking before applying the amount of pressure needed for my body. The actual building and setting seemed a bit outdated and could use some remodeling, but I would definitely return with Susan. read more

I called ahead and requested a 12 o clock start time. I was greeted by a receptionist that spoke English which is not always something you get when you walk into massage places and it makes it hard to speak your needs. I was thrilled. She asked me if I wanted any upgrades like hot stones and I said no I just wanted the 90 minute full body. She lead me to the room and that's when the magic began. Kevin walked in an did his work for 90 minutes. He never spoke except to ask if it was too hard or it needed to be harder. It started out with gentle effleurage through a blanket and then to the oil massage where he worked out all the tension and made my muscles relax. He added the hot stones which felt amazing but I did not ask for and was charged for at the end. I'm annoyed because it's a small cheat but like I said it felt amazing. That is the reason for the 4/5 stars but I will go back and expect it next time. I was worried about the tip because of the comments and have been asked for more tip at other places. I was very happy and left a $20 tip. It was worth it. He did a great job! read more

I love going here. Although I've never been anywhere else here in Bakersfield I always come back here and refuse to try anywhere else. Me and my mom come here often. I've brought some family from out of town that were visiting here and they treated my 87 year old great grandmother so nice and they were very accommodating because she can't lay on her stomach. I appreciate them for that. The checking out can be a little awkward because they are waiting on a tip but they make sure you have water at the end. I know this can irk some people but they really mean well and they do a great job on massages. read more

I haven't been here in so long and it's nice to see that the friendliness and customer service is still amazing. We had a girls day out and this was our first stop , we decided on the 40 minute full body massage. The whole time I was thinking why did I wait so long to come back , I had the best and most relaxing massage . Peter was fantastic and I'll be coming back soon ! read more

Office experience Too focused on the tip amount instead of quality of massage. My tip is determined by how well the massage was and the staff making comments in their language after my determined tip was given is unprofessional. I will not be back... read more

I had the best experience here! I was lucky enough to have Michelle work on me. A foot massage runs about $30 for one hour. But it's not only a foot massage, you also get a mini face, neck, shoulder and arm massage with it. I opted to add the hot stone for $5 more...and it was soooooo worth it! Can't wait to go back and get another one. It's nice and dark and super comfy chairs! read more

I was a little hesitant with some of these reviews, but this was one of the best massages I've ever had and I get them frequently. I also don't leave reviews, but for this experience it was worth it. The space itself is much to be admired, but Julio is legit one of the best. I somewhat sensitive to pressure and I dealt with it, bc he knows what he is doing. If you like deep tissue, I challenge you to test his skills and write a review. Take care of Julio, bc he just took it to another level. Here for work from Houston, but dang, why can't he live in Houston. Enjoy! read more

Julio C is outstanding and professional always. It was the best I have had as a deep tissue massage; I will be back and only seeing Julio. He is just amazing find in lil ol Bakersfield. Thx again and please stay. read more

I miss the previous owners. Not as clean anymore. Massage was whatever. But ofc they do the thing where they hover over you and wait for the tip. No one said thank you. No one said anything really. Except when they were talking loudly on the phone with family read more

I absolutely love this place, I've been going here for years. Peter is amazing, and the staff is super friendly.

Everytime I go! Amazing experience and service! I would call ahead so you can get in right away but never disappointed!

This is my second time coming to this massage place and let me tell you, they do a great job! Both times, I've had John and he really gets into the back area. Walking in you'll find it to be relaxing and quiet as well as walking to the rooms. Masks are to be worn at all times which was no problem for me. The rooms were clean and they place a disposable cover on the bed that followed Covid cleanliness. My boyfriend had the masseuse named Melanie and she did a great job as well! She asked if there was a particular area to work on and she was great. You have to make an appointment (not sure if they do walk ins). Definitely will come back soon & I recommend this place! read more

Thank you for an amazing massage Julio. You are my "go to" therapist. If you are reading this review and you are looking for a therapist with strong hands, Julio is your guy!! read more

This is a long overdue post. I have been coming here for months now. Gilbert GIVES THE BEST MASSAGES. Probably the best I have ever had and I been to many spas/massage parlors. He is just tricky to get and you need an appointment. Everyone else I have had is still pretty good. Very professional, affordable and relaxing! read more

I have followed Julio around for years! He's the best massage therapist in town. I always get a 90 min session and I love his deep tissue.

the staff is always really nice when I come here! i ended up making a weekly habit of coming in for a 90 min massage with Julio. he takes care of your tension and muscle knots like nobody else! read more

the massage was good, but not great. room was very clean, and quiet, they have a sign by register asking for 20% mandatory tip. but when i pay $10 tip for $55 massage, the lady told me it was $20 tip fee. i dont know if it was just this lady or the whole business. but may be update price list. read more

I go specifically for one masseuse JULIO, he is very caring and will listen to you and your body. Make sure to bring some extra cash to leave behind for his tip. He truly goes out of his way to ease your pain read more

Omg my sis and I went here--walk-in--and it was amazing. (Full body massage- Julio and Kevin). Thank u so much. I had lower back pain and walked out with no pain. Julio noticed my sisters right and left were misaligned and gave her some tips. I usually like really hard pressure and that's what we both got. Amazing. % 10/10 read more

One of the worst full body massage sessions I've ever had. The lady was nice, I'm not going to blame her. This is for sure a management/ownership failure. I'm guessing either because they're paying the employees minimum wage to make more money or there simply aren't any qualified massage therapists looking for work right now. This woman had no clue what she was doing. This is the first massage I've had where she almost massaged my bones more than my muscles. Definitely the first time anyone thought it was a good idea to massage my spine with their elbow bone. Trust me when I say do not give this place the chance to take your $55 for an hour or pain. Delight Massage is the best place in Bakersfield to go, and I wish to God they were open the day I went here so I wouldn't be sitting here in more pain than I had before I got my bones rubbed with hot rocks! read more

Don't remember her name but she was an older gal that was sweet and gave a great body and foot massage!

I've been to a lot of different massage places in Bakersfield and this one is the BEST! The front desk young lady is always pleasant and friendly. Although all the Therapyst are great my favorite is Linda. She is my go to gal!!! read more

Foot Reflexology - The mood is set for relaxation! - Massage Therapy Near Me - Bakersfield, California

I was referred by a friend to go get a massage with Julio. I loved it. He's strong, just what my back needed. And he also uses his own home made products, I was surprised how relaxing the CBD lotion he uses worked on me . I referred 2 of my family members and they had the same experience. read more

After trying many massage businesses here in town and being less than pleased esp for the money I would spend and at times having bad vibes when I was there, I finally found this diamond in the rough and a very respectful, professional and AMAZING massage therapist named Julio who I now call and will only make spots if he is available, he's that good. I work in an office as well as in a restaurant so I'm constantly on the go, and sitting or moving around a ton and I explain to Julio my problem areas before my deluxe foot massage (that includes what I would refer to it as a deep tissue back massage as well) and he tailors the lotion used to stress relief, relaxation, citrus, allergies, preferred scents etc.... His table manner is impeccable and his customer service and personality is unbelievable. I highly recommend Julio and refer him to all of my friends and co co-workers. read more

If you are looking for a deep tissue massage, Julio is your guy. Far and away the best massage I have ever gotten. I will drive across town and pass many other massage places for Julio's massage. read more

Fantastic foot reflexology! Clean place with kind staff, would 10/10 recommend! Very very relaxing.

Had the couples massage here last night. It was ok. Technicians didn't say hardly anything. Most places ask where your trouble spots are. They didn't ask anything. Just took us to the couples room and closed the door. Came in and started massaging away. I'm pretty sure that they spoke limited English and that was the problem. If you can't find anyplace on short notice ( we tried to find a same day couples at numerous places), this place will suffice. read more

I've been coming here off and on for about 6 years. This place was way better before Zen Spa took over. The old place charged $25 for the typical hour foot reflexology massage. It was always busy and the quality was consistent. That all went downhill when Zen Spa took over. It's now $40+ for the same service, but the employees just aren't that great. The lady who did my massage was very nice but had zero strength. I asked for only my feet to be massaged, but she ended up doing the usual head, arm, feet, back routine. Unfortunately, the language barrier prevented my feet only request from being fulfilled. Wish it would go back to the old way. read more

Amazing work by julio!! Literally the best massage and i cant recommend him enough!! Healed me of tight shoulders and back. So happy. Thank you julio!! read more

I experienced the absolute worst massage I have ever had. The whole time I couldn't wait for it to be over. This lady had no idea what she was doing. After the massage was done I let the receptionist know. She still made me pay full price. She said she would text her boss to call and I have yet to receive a call. Very disappointed with how they handled this. It is unfortunate because I am a loyal customer to Zen Spa who recently purchased this location. But due to this experience, I am not sure I would recommend any of their locations. read more

Front desk girl was cool. Visiting from LA and couldn't find any other place that was open and seemed decent on thanksgiving , so we tried deep tissue 90 min here which ended up being 80 min for both of us. I didn't point that out at the end cuz we will not go back there anyway but writing here so maybe they take care of their customers better as they pay for their time! I liked the massage on my back! So ye it was ok not bad just for once :) read more

The former customer service was great and helpful But the foot massage was bit not up to the expected levels , lot of time spent in just touching / rubbing the feet without any actual deep massage - as it trying to pass away the time . Also had combined body massage but they said there is no discount if you combine it without prior notification so they charged me 10$ more. Also the body massage is good but again lot of time spent in way of time pass by rather than active massage makes it value concern for the money read more

Just like everyone had said in past reviews, Julio is great! Unfortunately when I called to book him again, I was really disappointed to hear he is no longer there. I have had several others give massages there, but Julio has been the best. Back to searching for a new place to go. read more

5 stars, the ambiance, the people are very nice, the service is great; its quiet, clean and separated for privacy.I love coming to this place, it's like a hidden gem for Bakersfield. The only bad experience I've had here is having a guy massage you smelling of cancer(cigarettes), very UNrelaxing, get rid of that guy clean him up or whatever, nobody wants that during a massage; but everyone else and every other time I've been here has been good. read more

6 yrs ago I was diagnosed w/Leukemia (cancer in the blood) I took chemo had chemo therapy through IV even on my back, so my bone density is of 75+yr old woman & I'm turning 41yrs old today. My body hurts everyday I come here & love everyone but then I found a who we refer to "the one w/angel hands" JULIO! He's the best I've ever had in my entire life! He knows how to relax me (I suffer from anxiety) he knows how to melt the tension away! I can go on and on about him. But you just need to try him! Deep tissue massage omg he's the best at it and I don't leave all bruised up like with others I always have! I'm telling you he has hands of an angel!!! read more
