Look no further!!! So, I typed "Locksmith" in the YELP search and MX Locksmith was about number 4 or 5, so I started from the top. The one with 5 stars and 90+ reviews never answered the phone....and I called for 2 days! Even sent a YELP message...nothing. Good thing this is not an emergency. LOL! Of the other 5 star-ers that answered, MX was by far the best price!!! They were very professional on the phone, gave me a great price quote, and scheduled me the next morning. Matt was the technician who came out. He showed up on time and did the work super fast. He was friendly and professional. He double and triple checked to make sure he was doing exactly what I wanted. What did I get done you ask? Well, I just moved into a home, so they re-keyed the 2 existing locks I had keys for, and replaced a deadbolt lock for two reasons: I didn't have the key for it, and it is next to a glass window and I wanted the key only entry on both sides for safety. Wow. On time, super fast and the lowest price of the five I requested quotes from. I needed a new mailbox key, a rekeyed lock on my front door and a new code for my keyless entry. I really like this company (Martin). I moved into a new place, and the seller did not leave me the keys to my mailbox. So I needed a little bit of help here from a locksmith. Martin promptly came out and took care of the job - it was fun to watch, as much drilling and vicegrips were needed to extract the old lock. New lock installed, all for a very fair price that was quoted. As a bonus, i now receive mail. Wow. A couple of weeks later, my locksmithing incompetence was in true form and I managed to screw up removing an existing deadbolt lock. Couldn't get it out, and did not want to damage the door. Who you gonna call? Ghost-Busters! Oops, wrong movie. I contacted Martin sat Mid-day, and he said he could come by in a couple of hours. Wow. I needed 10 keys made for my office. They are special restricted ones needing a locksmith to duplicate them. I drove to a few different businesses and they either didn't have the keys or weren't open, so I Yelped it and called MX. They were out the next day. He tested all of the keys, and had to make a slight cylinder adjustment, which he didn't charge me for. Awesome service. Very polite and professional. Excellent service. Martin, the tech, who responded was able to get the smart lock working in no time. He kept in touch and arrived when he said he would. I kept the booklet on the lock since it was relatively new and I think that helped so he wouldn't have to look up the specs since all of these locks vary. Prices are reasonable. First of all I will start by writing that my wife and I bought a new house and wanted to re-key all doors so they will match with one key. We had an issue with the first technician who came to replace all of our locks on the ground floor, so the owner of "MX Locksmith", Mike, contacted me and said he will wave the additional service / trip charge for the remaining of the work that the first technician didn't complete. Dave White, the manager, came and completed the job. He's very nice, pleasant and professional. I believe each company has a "bad seed" who can literally destroy the good reputation of a company, and unfortunately it was my first experience with them. I just moved into town, and needed to make copies of my house/mailbox keys. I looked up nearest locksmith's and found this little place right besides "Pasta China" restaurant (same plaza). The women in the front desk was super nice and the Technician was swift on making copies on my keys. The price was very cheap. Literally like 3 days later, I locked myself out of my office room at home. I gave them a call and they showed up in less than an hour! "Jason" was the locksmith's name, and he charged me $70 for fixing the problem and making two new spare keys for the office room. Very professional and fast service. On 8/4/2021 my tenant left my property and without my knowledge had 8 locks/deadbolt rekeyed without my knowledge or permission. Therefore the set of keys that I kept in the event of an emergency would not open any of my doors to the property. She also changed a padlock on door that gives access to my basement. I was totally locked out of my home. My property is located 30 miles from Las Vegas. I immediately called MX Locksmith at the suggestion of my realtor. Martin was at my property in less than one hour. As soon as he arrived (on time) he proceeded rekeying all locks and deadbolts including having to cut through the padlock for the basement. I wanted all handles and deadbolt on all doors and security screen door all rekeyed to one key. I.E.: One key for the entire house. My tenant used different makes/brands of locks & deadbolts making it more difficult for Martin to re-key everything on one key. He had in his vehicle all the tools and materials needed to do this in addition to the special saw he needed to use to cut through a quite large padlock. The entire job was done in approx 30-45 min max. Martin was extremely knowledgeable and explained the entire process in a very comprehensible way. He was very professional, kind, friendly and very pleasant. Most importantly he secured my home. The charges for the entire service was very reasonable given the amount of work and time he had to use. ** I would highly recommend MX Locksmith and Martin to any family member or friend. If you need extra keys made and programed for your vehicle, look no further. I went to the Jaguar dealership on Sahara to purchase an extra key, and a remote for my 2001 S-type. I was quoted $300.00 for the key, and $250 for the remote. After coming home, and looking for other options, including other locksmiths, I found Moto Xpress and got the best price quote. For $232 I got 2 keys, and programing for a remote that I had brought in. Moto Xpress also does business in a very professional, and efficient manner. Great price, and very responsive. Got their info from a friend. Unfortunately, my blinds that shaded the door were the locks were changed were ripped off. My Staff sent me a picture, and let me know that it got ripped after the technician left. The response I got back after I informed them that the technician damaged my blinds, was well there's nothing we can do. Our Tech acknowledged that he ripped them, but there was nothing signed on the ticket. Over all personal Morals, and taking advantage of a young kid up front is not cool. I personally will never use this locksmith again, but if you do use MX Locksmith make sure that you watch the tech, and if they damage anything add it to the Ticket before you sign. read more
