Honestly, best DMV experience so far. Made an appointment online and had several options to choose from. Came in early and was seen in about 5 minutes or so. Just needed a drivers license name change, the process was quick. Space itself is large and seems to have many people working. The walk-in line seemed to be moving at a decent pace. read more

Unfortunately a trip to the MVD isn't something anyone really looks forward too already because we except the space to be 'stale'. I traveled to the south MVD here in Tucson on Broadmont to handle some 'adult life western world' things. The bathrooms were decent. It's distasteful and I can't see why it's so difficult of a thing to remove the mirrors and other things but not clean up the walls or at least make it look nicer. They really just let things look bad. Scan your ID , or schedule an appointment online ahead of time, but either way you'll hop in a line. There are no chairs except for handicap individuals. Plenty of room for chairs IMO! I was very happy with the person who helped me. She was so attentive, clear, listened and helped. Thank goodness for a good human interaction! Would I recommend this place? Well ya, if you gotta handle things. But I'm not sure what the other places are like in comparison. I didn't take too many pics because it was pretty busy. read more

they need to update their website hours! i walked in at 4:44 and they claimed to be close!

This was an experience. A Walk in means no appt. So expect a long line. About 15 minutes. But those in line are couples or a family. So, next in line could be 4 people at once. Many are like that. My turn, just replace my license. Eye test and get a pic taken. They had a lot of counters open to serve. All in all, I'm set for another 5 years before I m due back. Simple read more

These people have a hard job It's clear they are burnt out watching how they treat the residents. They are all moody. The only reason they are getting 3 stars and not 2 is because of the lady that helped the people beside us. So, this review is short, because who has a lot to say about a DMV? But, I did want to give them a quick shoutout because I've lived in a lot of places and never have I ever been to a more efficient, professional, friendly DMV. I'm honestly shocked that it was such a good experience! My license pic is still a hot mess but that's more on me than them. Anyway, Broadmoor DMV/MVD/whatever you call yourself, I officially love you. read more

I have had two appointments in the past month, and I was so pleasantly surprised. I usually dread going in person to the DMV, but omg, both times, great experience. I did go fairly early, so I'm guessing that helped too, along with having an appointment, but I walked in expecting lines out the door, planned on being there for a couple hours, and was having all these visions in my head of how I'll have to argue with the rude employees to get anything done properly based on experiences years ago at various DMVs. Nope! Very short wait times both times (5 minutes max), and I got two different ladies (first time it was Shasta, second was Tania I believe??) who were both super friendly and helpful and efficient. I was in and out with everything I needed in way less time than I'd expected, and I will no longer dread it when I need to go. Never in a million years did I think that I would have such great experiences at a DMV that I'd want to let everyone know haha read more

I am updating this, the DMV itself is 5 Stars, if you get Susana RUN. I am serious, get back in line or come another day! I spoke with Jessica when I arrived, always courteous and over the top helpful, she assured me my paperwork was ready, and gave m a quick pass ticket... I waited. Susana called my number, cue horror music. I explained that they had sent for paperwork, Jessica said it was ready. Blank stare. I explained. She went and looked. She came back and told me she looked, it isn't there. I told her I spoke with Jessica moments ago, it IS here. She went and looked. She said no, she looked everywhere, maybe next week? I told her Jessica said moments ago it IS here, and Jessica called me last week to tell me to come in. She told me Jessica isn't here yet today. Yes, yes, she is, I just spoke with her. She left. When she came back she told me Jessica has left for the day. Uh... It's 8:30 in the morning. She said sorry. I waited. She stared. Again she told me she had looked EVERYWHERE. I asked if she could page Jessica, she told me Jessica isn't here. She waited, I explained I needed to register my car. She said maybe the paperwork was with Jessica. I told her Jessica is here, she said Jessica left. I went to the help desk. They called Jessica. Suddenly Susana appears and tells me Jessica gave her the paperwork. @__@ She said it JUST came today, it was in the mailbox. I didn't point out that Jessica had called me over a week ago. At this point I wanted OUT. Nightmare over? You underestimate Susana. She enters my info and tells me it will be $483. I tell her no, they told me last week $233. She says, and I quote "I entered all the numbers right. It's a really new car." It's a 2009. I tell her that can't be right. She says taxes are higher here in AZ. I stare blankly. She says she will "try one more time". I watch as she gets a constipated look on her face and tries three times. "Oh, I entered NEXT YEAR." Yeah, $233. I swear. Run, until she is let go and finds a nice career somewhere.... I can't even think if anywhere! Run! Run, my friends. read more

Honestly, I was somewhat debating whether to give this place 3 stars or 4, but I realized the only reason I was considering 3 is that I hate the MVD. Everyone hates the MVD. Even the people who work at the MVD im sure hate the MVD when they have to be customers there. But that's not entirely fair...these people deserve a little better than that for a job well done. This place made my re-registration and reprinting of my license pretty painless and relatively expedient. The people were nice and generally did their best to help me along as quickly and efficiently as possible. Don't get me wrong: I still hate the MVD. The day I don't I should probably be locked away in an asylum. But all things considered, if I HAVE to go again, I will choose this location and hope that the service is as good as it was this time. read more

Great service! At every touch point the representatives were attentive, respectful and professional with a touch of friendliness and humor. I've seen worse when it comes to the DMV... er... MVD here in AZ I suppose. Whatever. This place is clean and more or less set up to work efficiently. What I didn't understand is the inefficiency of having to get a new photo form my license. First go to window 1, all the way to one side of the building. Get a new photo taken. Then go wait to be called to a window on the entire other side of the building, so the form can be filed and payment taken. Then it's--you guessed it--back in line to wait to go back to window one (yep, all the way back on the original side of the building) to actually pick up the new license. I've been told to verify all information is correct before leaving as they sometimes screw up. Mine was fine, but it's always a good idea to verify. As for the employees--the woman who issued the actual license was curt. Not rude but certainly not friendly. Everyone else I dealt with tried to brighten the place up with courteous actions and smiles. Still, I hope to never make this place a regular hang out. read more

Two weeks ago, I went there and wanted to get local driver license . And they said that they need one more document .ok, I did my work and brought the document they need and went there today ,this time was not the same person ,but when I saw this women I realized that this woman did not know how to deal with it , cause she looked like confused and checked computer long time , finally I said that if you do not know ,you should ask your manager , then she left her seat for a while and then come back said we can't take this document . what ?! Last time you guys said just need one more document . Then I called my friend told her this situation ,my friend said that you should go to high-star feedback DMV , then I find another dmv and drove another 10miles to there ,you know what , after 30minutes,I get my new local driver license . Actually , there are many government-fund institutions hire unqualified people and help them get a job , this is good , but you guys should give your employees good training first ,just knowing how to smile and kind to customers is not enough . What we need is professional work and efficiency ! I came here two times and drove total 40miles and waisted me so much time . I recommend that this DMV should give their managers good training first . read more

Is this place ran by humans or a bunch of goldfish with keyboards ?? Because I'm unsure how they suspend a drivers license when I pay $250 out of my pocket and spend both my days off from my 50 hour a week job to squeeze in their online classes, complete the course and then call and speak with someone who then assured me "oh yes that's fine, no need for anything else" then receiving a paper 2 months later in the mail telling me my license is suspended??? Excuse me but I will be driving my car today and every other day and if I am pulled over harassed, questioned about why I am driving I will be more than happy to show them complete documentation of what I did to clear my record and now I will waste more time calling these people to straighten this out. I'm so close to pressing charges on the MVD read more

Do not come to this place on a Friday!! I sold my quad to my buddy like 10 months ago. He never got it put it in his name.. So needs a new one before heading to the Dunes.. They seem to be moving through the numbers in order.. But expect a 2-3 hour wait for a Friday. read more

From start to finish I received fantastic customer service while getting my Driver's License and have to admit that the difference from my visit in 2008 vs yesterday was literally night & day. My visit included finding convent handicap parking, doors with easy to reach assistive opening buttons, short line to get a service ticket, knowledgable staff at the ticket counter that made sure I had all needed forms & documents and told me the best place to sit to wait for my number to be called to reduce walking time/length (since I am handicap and use a walker). My number was called within 8 minutes to the 1st station to take my pic and then I was again directed to the best area to sit to wait for my turn at the 2nd station. Again only a 8 minute wait tell my number was called and Janeen was not only fast, knowledgable & efficient at her job, but super friendly & made my time there very enjoyable. Janeen finished my documentation very quickly and instead of sending me to the other end of the building to the 3rd station to pick-up my temporary driver's license, like what is normally done with health customers, she instead had me wait at her station and quickly got it for me. That may sound like a small thing, but for me it meant the world and saved me a 15 minute painful walk (yes it would have at least taken 15min to walk even that short of a distance). Janeen did that without me asking or me even dropping any hints, in fact she did it so quickly that it wasn't tell she handed me the temp ID that I realized she had completed that step for me and the only step left was to leave happy! :) So a process that I expected to take 4+ hours and thought would exhaust all my energy for the day, instead took 45 minutes and left with enough energy to go grocery shopping afterward. So highly recommend this DMV, especially if you are Handicap. read more

I have never had a problem with this DMV but today it was terrible! My niece had a driving test scheduled for 11:30AM and had already taken the test and paid for it in Green Valley. They suggested she make appointment here since they didn't do driving portion of test. We got here at 11:25AM and their confirmation email said "do not stand in line" check in at kiosk but the woman there with a line of folks inside the door insisted we stand in line. We did and then when we got to her she asked what we were here for and we told her and she directed us to another line! We stood in that line and had her picture taken and then directed to yet another line. By the time we stood in line there it was already 11:46AM, 21 minutes after we walked through the door. :( We stood in line a few minutes to have documents looked at and then she was told to wait in a waiting room area. It's now 11:53AM and she is still waiting. :( There has got to be a better process for this. Everywhere posted is "don't wait, go to kiosk" or something of that nature yet we couldn't pass the area this woman was standing at as she would call for us to stand in line. Why?! Why can't the MVD make things simple? Direct us with clear instructions in the email or hung signs and let those who have questions stand in a line! It is now 11:59AM and my niece just came to me to tell me she was told they have lunch from noon - 1PM and to come back at 12:55 and they will take her first!!! This is the worst place ever!!! If we wanted to come at 1 we would've made the appointment at 1! And if she didn't need her license we wouldn't be back! If there were zero stars that's what we would give them! read more

This place is a cake walk compared to the DMVs in California and markedly better than the ones in New Orleans. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Everything was great and fast, until the road test. They made me fail for 2 times without any critical reasons. They looked at me like I do not know how to drive, but I have been driving for 10 years in my home country without any accident history. I was confident and not scared or worried. They treated me like teenager who don't have enough experience (I look like a teenager, but I'm grown ass 28 years old) Very disappointed, judged my driving skill unfairly and I felt like they're just racist people. If you are just going in for something trivial it's fine, but if you have anything unusual going on the supervisors are horrible and will not help you. I talked to Henrietta (who wouldn't give me a last name or employee ID.) She made me pay the full fee for my replacement ID even though I was only replacing it because of a misspelling that was their fault. Her argument was that since I had paid to replace my ID for being lost once, that that was my last chance to correct the name on the card before they would decide to never give me my free replacement. (Correcting the name requires your birth certificate, I didn't have access to mine back then.) Apparently if you pay to replace your card then all their past mistakes are forgiven and they don't have to correct their mistakes when you go through the hassle of bringing in the documentation to do so. Overall it was a very frustrating experience and I'll probably go to a different DMV next time. read more
