This felt very much like the MVD. I was expecting a little TLC because I was paying more. Same cold stare, same indifferent tone. We did get the job done, but it could've been a lot friendlier for a private business read more

Great people work here and i recommend doing your homework first by reading up on their website and making sure you bring what items they need to make your transaction a smooth one. New drivers license for me in 15 minutes because i read up on the website what was required and i made an appointment! Eezy peezy. read more

MVD Express Rio Rancho - Departments of Motor Vehicles Near Me - Rio Rancho, New Mexico

I made an appointment and checked in online minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. I waited 10 minutes past my appointment time waiting to be called. Others who walked in were called up before me. The employee behind the counter was eating breakfast while trying to serve a customer. The State should cancel the MVD Express contract. read more

Nice and easy experience. Walked in a gentleman greeted me, I asked him a couple of questions and he was very nice and knowledgeable. I would use them again. read more

I just went here to get my Drivers License, very straight forward and easy experience. I did not spend more than a hour and a half, each person I encountered here was very nice and helpful. Customer service was a 10/10! I road tested with a gentlemen named Javier, he was very calm and professional and made my experience quick and easy. I definitely recommend this location and will comeback here in the future! read more

New to New Mexico. Went to change over my license. Javi was so helpful with my permanent residency card. And, of course Danielle who did all my paperwork. She said she was new. She was very patient & explained the entire process. Wish everything was as easy as this process. read more

Courteous and quick service. Very helpful staff. Would highly recommend. Information was clear on all services.

Sloppy work. Lazy employees. Dont know all the rules and look for reasons to send you away. Wasted my time. Go elsewhere.

I my side by side registered at this Mvd and I had asked them to put on road registration and off road registration as well. I showed up a month later because no plate came in. I asked at the Mvd what happened with my on road registration and they said they had never added the on road registration when I had originally registered it. I had to go all the way home just to get my receipt for proof that it was registered. They are not to well organized because when I showed up with my receipt it said otherwise. I had bought both in road and off road registration and they wanted to charge me for it again. Not the best experience I will say read more

Express??? I was there for an hour and a half! Finally got my new car tag and plate but was unable to get my drivers license because they didn't explain on the phone I needed a copy of my social AND passport. It was the longest I've ever had to wait at a Dmv before. read more

This is the third time I have come to the MVD Express...I came to get my tags and everything went ok. I came back when they called and said my title had been received and I needed to come back to pick up my tags. I informed them I already have my DAV plates and they said to come in and bring my DD214. I asked why would I need to do that if I already sent them to Santa Fe...still need to bring it in. So, I come in with the DD214 and was asked why...lol. Then I was informed that I needed to show proof of insurance for December 2019. I was living in TN at that time...so I am back to provide proof of insurance so I can ensure my car is legal and the tag is not "suspended". So the whole process today has taken over an hour and even though I provided proof of insurance they said the State declined it and I still had to pay the reinstatement fee. The customer service person was very friendly and helpful. read more

Where do I begin. This place is no different than going to a State run MVD. Came in, gave my name and waited... My name was in the board and then magically disappeared. This was after two other individuals who had come in after me were served! Seriously!? I'll never come back to this place. Thought it'd be quick and easy like the Albuquerque location on Paseo. Not even close. They essentially waste your time and don't give a crap. Ridiculous. If I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

Went in today to get some things notarized. Was greeted by a gentlemen name Xavi. With great service he helped me check in & get my documents together. Catherine who was the lady that helped me out gathering my information was very kind. Also a woman name Kalena who has greeted me while waiting for my turn. Xavi & Catherine took their time to help me fax papers (which they didn't need to) & print out documents for me that I needed. Service was genuine & quick less than 10 mins. I appreciate the efficient customer service and kindness of the friendly staff here at this location. read more

Don't come here...The 1st time we came there we waited for almost an hour then when it's our turn they said their machine is not working. So we comeback and It called MVDExpress but it's NOT EXPRESS service it takes us almost 2 hrs which doesn't make sense coz there's no much people in Q. And their mode of payment of I used the card still need to pay addition charge . read more

Are clerk was abrupt to the point of being rude. If we want to put up with rude unprofessional DMV Clerks we could have saved the $30. Are clerk was CG. Also the place was not busy so it was not like she was being rushed. read more

Terrible service in this location. Nobody knows what they are doing save yourself some time and go to a different branch

I had to renew my drivers license. I was in town to rent a vehicle and discovered my ID had expired the day before. I stopped by this location to renew my license. I had a simple, quick and friendly process with Catherine. Probably took a total of 10 mins. read more

mvd express has employees that do not know, or refuse to adhere to simple motor vehicle laws of the state. employees are not even trained in motor vehicle laws that they all ignore!!! nm is not a "mileage exempt state! period!... yet if you purchase a vehicle that is mileage exempt and title it in nm they refuse to honor the nm dmv laws, which does , by law, allow the actual miles here in nm to be on the title, since nm does, in fact and by law, has "actual miles" on the title !!! very simple!!! nm mvd violates their own motor vehicle laws here in nm !! common sense should be mandatory of employees at any dmv !!! read more

I moved recently and needed to update both my license and registration. We took the opportunity to renew them both also, since they were getting near expiration. Yes, there was a little bit of a wait (15 minutes?) but they were fast, knowledgeable, pleasant, and informative. They also got me re-registered for voting at my new address. It's a few dollars more than going to the state run agencies, but in my opinion, the difference is night and day. I've used them numerous times and have always had a good experience. Highly recommended. read more

Unfortunately I wasted 45min at MVD Express. When I arrived, there was a wait so they check you into their waiting list. At that time, they ask what you are there for to ensure you have proper paperwork before spending time waiting. I let them know that I was doing title and registration for travel trailer. When they finally got to me and started processing transaction, they realized that they were out of license plates (45 min) and needed to send me to another office to start the transaction all over (after she called and consulted with manager on phone). A simple, customer service gesture for my inconvenience and time would be to waive their fee...did they do that? Nope. Go to Rapid MVD down the hill instead. read more

Very helpful staff. If you are trying to get a NM Real ID, these folks helped us understand the process and the required documents. The convince fee for their customer service was worth it! read more

They are fast. They make a lot of mistakes. That is the big difference between this place and going to the official State of New Mexico MVD office. For those that don't know, the nearest State of New Mexico MVD office in Rio Rancho has a reputation for being extremely slow. So slow that if you walk in then you have at least a 4 hour wait. I go there and ask the people leaving how long their wait was and I have never been told that it has been less than 4 hours, naturally because the State did not send me a renewal notice (what is up with that?) I have to then rush to the MVD Express office to get it taken care of immediately. The MVD Express office is quick, they really get people moving in and out super fast so I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen (often its only 10 minutes) and then it only takes 2 to 20 minute to get all my business done. The issue I have with this place is that they make a lot of mistakes, none of them are fatal but they are inconsistent. For instance they didn't tel me that there is no fee for a card transaction if I use my debit card instead of my credit card, considering that they add a high fee to use their company they should be nice enough to tell us that every time we use them for our business. They didn't tell me that their customers don't always get renewal notices, so I have to put to on my calendar myself (its a mystery, they don't know why that happens), they didn't tell me that there is a two year option for renewal, they just gave me a one year renewal, they didn't tell me that I could go home and get my veterans papers to have drivers license marked as a Veteran, to get veteran discounts with just a drivers license, etc. It's small stuff but for the big bucks that we pay for this service, we expect to know everything exactly correctly and completely (if you go to the State of New Mexico MVD office they will do everything perfectly, they are just so slow that it tales hours of waiting to get anything done there). I also noticed that MVDExpress did not claim this business on Yelp, do they not care to see what we think? Without Yelp they have no idea ho to improve their service. If they bother to claim this page on Yelp I will raise my review higher, if they bother to contact me about it. read more

The women here are so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and fast. I especially appreciate Iriana. I would recommend this place to anyone and I'd give more stars if I could. read more

Having recently moved to NM from the East Coast, I was extremely impressed by the service and friendliness of the staff at MVD.

Once I got to the counter the woman who assisted me was very helpful. But..I was the only one in the office when I first got there and at least 20 people were called before me. At first, I thought they must have had appointments but after an hour and a half, I realized that could not be the case with every single person. After I went up and asked the woman who checked me in initially about it, she apologized and said I had been left out of line somehow. But she still put me behind the very last person who came in up to that point. After an hour and forty-five minutes I finally concluded business that should have taken 20 minutes to achieve. It would be nice if customer service could be stressed here. There were never more than six customers in the place at one time, so it's not like I was lost in the crowd. read more
