When my oven stopped working I contacted MVB Appliances and they scheduled a repair technician for the following day. Tim pointed out my problem --- a burned out oven element. Tim was very good at explaining my problem. He was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. Since my stove was quite old I said I would forgo the repair and look for another stove. I checked out the 'big box' stores and MVB Appliances. For the same sort of range I wanted, MVP was the better price by about 10 - 15%. Plus they are a locally owned business and that's important to me. I called to verify they had the unit I wanted in stock and they did. The following day I went in and a wonderful lady, Lisa helped me with my purchase. Stephan and Kenan just delivered and installed my new range and they too, were wonderful. I'd gladly give MVB Appliances 10 stars! Everyone I dealt with were simply great people - This is obviously a reflection on the ownership of this business. So unprofessional and rude. They came by to "fix" our washing machine, claimed it was fine and in working order so we washed our laundry normally in the machine. 2 weeks later, it turns out they had completely missed a leak and now we're having to potentially rip out the walls and carpet of our master bedroom, which is directly behind the washing machine. They refused to come out, hung up on me when I called, and insisted that since the leak appeared 2 weeks later (since the washing machine was slowly leaking into the wall and eventually created a massive puddle in the bedroom behind), they have nothing to do with it and refuse to acknowledge any sort of responsibility. My Mother just purchased a new refrigerator from this business. She had a pretty specific size that wasn't negotiable. Luckily this business had what she needed. Her old refrigerator just died and no one works on that type of appliance any longer. The new one is a brand name everyone is familiar with. I will say it seemed a flimsy replacement. It is a high-end appliance but just doesn't feel like it. She was helped and felt like she was the only person in the business. They made an appointment and the delivery guys were on time. Professional in appearance even though it's just ridiculously hot. They were very careful and put the refrigerator in its place. And there is very little room to place this large appliance. On November 10, 2019, my husband and I went to the Lowe's Store, 3535 SW 36th Ave, Ocala, Florida, to purchase appliances for a new home we had built. We picked out a refrigerator, stove, microwave, washer, and dryer... Over $4000 worth of appliances and two hours spent with the sales rep picking everything out and making sure everything we needed was purchased. We were told that we could schedule delivery when we needed them so we did. So the day before they were supposed to deliver I got a call stating that my delivery was scheduled between 11 and 3. So the day of delivery we waited around and it was an absolutely beautiful day outside but we couldn't go anywhere because we were getting our appliances delivered, so we thought. When no delivery truck was showing up I decided I would call the phone number that I was given that was in charge of delivery. I have since found out these are contracted delivery companIes, not Lowe's, but a company called XPO representing Lowes and was told that no, our appliances were not being delivered that day. No reason why just it was not happening. So the next day I got on the phone to The Lowe's store mentioned above where I purchased the appliances and was told by the woman there that she called and our delivery she assured mewould be the next day. Why isn't our order being delivered? We don't know...So we wait... No delivery truck... AGAIN...Called XPO again and spoke with a woman who was supposed to call me back regarding why we were not getting delivery. Still waiting for her call. Called back and spoke with a man that was investigating and supposed to give us a call back. Still waiting for that call back as well. Yeah, right. That's just their ploy to get you off the phone so they don't have to deal with you. So my husband and I drive to the store and asked to speak to the manager. He's not there, the assistant manager is busy with someone else, so I get to speak to the woman in person that I spoke to on the phone the day before. So at the store she got on the phone and after waiting about 10 minutes the person on the other end of the line wanted to speak with us. They indicated that they could deliver our appliances in three days and I said no. Then she offered two days and I said no. And then I told her to just cancel the order. We are getting our new home inspected tomorrow to receive our certificate of occupancy and without the appliances the inspector will not pass the home. So we go to another local store, MVB Appliances in Ocala Florida, and they have appliances right there that we purchased and they will deliver it for us tomorrow. Note to self: if the appliance company you're buying from does not do their own deliveries then you need to walk right back out of the store. It's not worth the frustration and time wasted that you can't get back and you don't get compensated for. We will never buy another item from Lowe's again. Their customer service is subpar. Their delivery is subpar. Don't even waste your time. -- If I were you I would go straight to MVB Appliance! After the experience we had with Lowes we rushed over to MVB telling them we needed a stove so we could get our house inspected. They had a beautiful floor model brand new we purchased right on the spot and they delivered it today and our house has been inspected and passed! Thank you MVB and James from the Leesburg store but just happened to be in Ocala on that rainy Tuesday night we visited him! They even stayed late to finish our transaction and complete the sale! They have our business for sure! Going there Saturday to look at a refrigerator that they're shipping to Ocala from Leesburg and it sounds just like the one I want. Their service dept is an 1-800 number. Not local and their response time was 72hrs later and just a text Saturday morning at 6:30 am saying they are experiencing higher than normal call volume!!!! I can't say enough good things about this company. I don't usually write reviews but this needs to be said. I was waiting for a refrigerator to be delivered from another company (Home Depot) and had been canceled 3 times when I decided it was time to cancel that one and find someone else. The MVB sales staff was great and quickly helped me find what I needed which included something in stock that could be delivered to my remote area. I bought the refrigerator on a Friday and it was delivered by 2 hard working efficient gentlemen on the following Monday. They went out of their way to help me with my somewhat difficult delivery situation and didn't complain at all. They showed up when they said they would, called to update me prior to the delivery and in general, exceeded my expectations. Jeremy was wonderful, I told him what I was looking for and he immediately presented me with several choices that all fit my needs. He explained the differences fairly quickly and very thoroughly. The delivery people were very courteous, polite, thorough and careful. All in all I received old fashioned, customer service treatment that I have not experienced in a while. The worst. Just bought a new dishwasher from here. It was initially installed improperly by their technicians. They came back 24 hours later and installed better with our supervision. It did not work properly and they refused to let us return it! Said that the only way that they would take it back was if we bought a more expensive model. Stick with Lowe's. This place has been nothing but issues From day one! We purchased a washer and dryer in oct 2017 They had to replace both units 3x as well as attempted to fix all 3 sets a total of 7x All 3 sets broke within a week of having them, the 3rd set we have had for 3 months and is broke once again. They will do nothing for us, they will not come out to look at it, fix it or take them back!! I would not recommend them to anyone! read more

I was to be called and never was when it was ready. I went to the store saw it was not to my satisfaction because no one seemed to know if the work was completed. On 3 occasions I went in the store to just get a refund. Each time I was told the owner only does refunds and on Tuesdays. Spoke with the owner finally and he wanted 15% stocking fee. In the past 2 years, we have bought 2 side by side refers, a washer and dryer. The first side by side we bought had a problem with the ice maker. Mike the owner, came out and replaced the defective solenoid (valve), and it worked fine. We had to leave the fridge behind as per our lease agreement. We bought a home in Highland Lakes, Leesburg. 2 weeks later the washing machine quit. We bought a Samsung pair, washer/dryer for $1100. , we researched the hell out of them, and for a few scratches saved $600. . We then replaced the fridge, mostly because of the ice/water in the door. Knowing we were customers, and a few blemishes, we got the fridge for $450. They also get rid of the old appliances. We intend to buy a dish washer soon. Buyer Beware! My mother in-law purchased a used refrigerator from the Ocala store and made arrangements to have the refrigerator delivered on a Monday afternoon after 1:30 pm. At approximately 9:30 to 10:00 am that Monday, as I was traveling to Tampa, I received a phone call from a subject at the store indicating that they would be delivering the refrigerator later that morning. I informed the subject, that my wife had indicated to the individual that her mother was purchasing the refrigerator from, that no one would be at the residence until 1:30 or later and it would need to be delivered after that time. This same subject stated that he did the scheduling and did not have that information. I told him that this was the time that my wife scheduled the delivery and that no one would be there until then. The individual stated that he would advise his delivery crew of that and they would be at the residence at 1:30 pm or sometime shortly thereafter. I arrived at the residence at approximately 1:15 pm. The residence was vacant, as it was being prepared to have tenants move in, so I waited in the living room for the delivery. At approximately 2:15 to 2:30 pm I contacted the store to find out what the estimated time arrival might be of the delivery. The male subject that I spoke with, was the same subject that I spoke with earlier that morning. This subject seemed surprised that they had not arrived and indicated that he would contact the delivery crew and get right back to me to let me know when they would be at the residence. I waited for more than a half hour and received no call back so I called the store again. I received a voicemail and left a message inquiring when the delivery was coming. I did not hear anything back. I made between 3 to 4 more calls back to the store and no one bothered to get back to me with an answer. I waited at the residence until approximately 4:00 to 4:30 and no one from the store bothered to return my call. At that time, I called my wife to advise her that no one from the store would return my calls and I couldn't wait any longer. My wife's mother contacted the store sometime after this and advised the store that she was cancelling the order and wanted a full refund due to what had taken place. The individual at the store that she dealt with refused to give her a full refund and claimed that the delivery crew went to the residence and no one was there to receive the refrigerator, which was untrue. The delivery crew never came to the residence and the individual at the store didn't even have the decency to return my numerous calls to advise when the delivery might be made. I never write letters like this, but in all fairness to prospective customers they should be aware of these business practices. read more

They only repair or replace. So they just came and took away the fridge. I still might have to bug bomb my house 2 more times. This is a nightmare! I just wanted it out! I saw a currant ad from Craigslist(posted today). They promise amazing deals. Washers starting at $135.00 and even save an extra 25 dollars if you purchase. I decided to go on out since my washer broke last week. I was TOTALLY disappointed. My first clue that it was shady was that there are NO prices on ANY of the appliances. When I asked, the guy told me that who ever is in charge of sales just renews the ads on Craigslist to get people in but they have such high turn over in appliance that they probably didn't have any more of those...Really? He then gave a general ..well some are $175.00 ...and they just go up from there. The one that I saw that was 175 looked to be a washing machine from the 70's!!! ..Seriously!! I honestly don't know how places like this stay in business. Prices should be marked clearly..don't just charge what ever you think a chump will shell out by the way they look. If you run a sale be honest and stand behind it or don't run it. What a waste of my time. read more
