The chairs look nice, and I believe the work is good quality. My guess is that this business is a victim of its own success, and that they are accepting more work than they can possibly complete on time. That's why there are reviews that are either very good or very bad. I would use this business again, but I would call every week to be sure I got a timely delivery. And I would be sure there was a delivery date on the estimate/deposit receipt. END OF UPDATE Rebecca has had my two recliners and the Sunbrella fabric I purchased for them since April 10th of this year. She asked for a $1000 deposit, which I gave her in the form of a check. She cashed the check within 20 mins of leaving my house. She said the job would take 6-8 weeks. I contacted Rebecca on May 20 to see if my chairs could be delivered that week, as I had out of town company coming. She said no, but that she could bring them out the next week, to which I agreed. I didn't hear from her again until I emailed her on September 9, asking her to return my chairs by Friday, September 13. Rebecca responded immediately, saying she couldn't bring them on Friday, but would call me on Saturday at 10 a.m. to arrange a delivery. I finally got an email from her at 1 p.m., saying she didn't have the chairs done due to several problems out of her control the previous Wednesday. She gave me no delivery date or reason she didn't let me know earlier in the week about the "unforeseen issues". I responded with a terse email asking to bring all the pieces of my chairs and my fabric-now. She has not responded. This business (which in essence is Rebecca, has very poor communication. I imagine that if I hadn't emailed her this past week, I might never have heard from her. Her customer service is non-existent. I cannot comment on Rebecca's work, because I haven't seen it. If I ever do get my chairs back, I'll update this review. I definitely do not recommend this business.

We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces. All the work was done in approx two weeks, and all correspondence was answered promptly. We are over the moon with the results. The colors are stunning, and great care was taken to line up the complex pattern of the upholstery with the tufting. Excellent service and excellent results. We will be back with future products. He took 15+ year old chairs and made them look brand new (even better than the original if I'm being honest!). We know we are going to get decades more out of these chairs because of the quality and care Louis put into his work. OH! They are wizards at their craft, and we strongly recommend them to you. When the chairs were deivered to their shop, they had an assortment of significant defects after decades of use. The material had worn thin in areas, with a few tears in fabric. The padding on the seats and backs no longer provided the support they once did. The wood arms anad legs were severely scratched and discolored. We wondered whether we should just put them out for scavenger pickup. But we really liked the style and could find no comparable new chairs. So, we tracked down Nick's after reading all their 5-star reviews. Nick's totally transformed the chairs. They first refinished the wood so that it was like new. They helped us choose the perfect fabric and skillfully installed it after first replacing the padding. In short, it is hard to conceive that anyone else could have done a better job. And. while we were in no hurry to get the chairs back, they returned them at exactly the timeframe estimated. They are highly recommended by me and my husband. Not to mention a wonderful family business for all to support. We had 2 office chairs, 8 dining room chairs and 4 kitchen chairs that needed recovered. We met with them in store and they showed us several fabrics that would be easy to manage with our little children but also coordinated with our style. We reached out in December and they were excellent with expediting the eating chairs to have by Christmas, without us even pushing for that. Luckily the fabric was already available but we still didn't expect a 1-2 week turnaround. We are still waiting on the office chairs but are excited to see how The fabric and work done is top notch! The chairs are comfortable, updated and very well upholstered. We've never gotten furniture recovered before but we thought the prices were reasonable for the experience, services and product!
