They have Great service, always friendly staff. They offer Good price. Easy access. We have been their customer for past 10 years. Make sure be there early before the closing time, and your tank is not too old; otherwise it needs to be recertification. Just better off to exchange new tank somewhere. We use our thanks for our door stove and BBQ oven. Gas is stable and last. Bring more empty tanks or refill out more get more savings. read more

have been a loyal customer since 2006 and have never had a negative experience until recently. All of my propane tanks were up to date and had been inspected and certified just a few weeks prior by another employee. Despite this, the new employee made me wait over 30 minutes before filling my tanks. What made the experience worse was his attitude. He was demanding, unpleasant, and far from customer-friendly. Instead of explaining any concerns professionally, he came across as unfriendly and difficult to deal with. After nearly 20 years as a customer, I was very disappointed by the way I was treated. I understand safety procedures are important, but customer service matters too. I hope management addresses this issue because one employee can quickly damage the reputation that has kept customers like me coming back for years. read more

Filling up my three propane tanks was super easy and convenient at Mutual Propane. In the past, I would go to U Haul to do it, but the process was slow and sometimes the machine was out. I did a quick search on Yelp and discovered Mutual Propane. I pulled right up, unloaded my propane tanks, and the guy filled all three tanks for around $30. Great price and great service! I will definitely be returning. They also sell propane tanks for cheaper than the hardware store. If you purchase a propane tank from them, it comes with a free refill. What more can you ask for! read more

Mutual Propane - Fill the tanks.. yes - Propane Near Me - Gardena, California

I've been coming here for years to fill my propane tanks for my business down the street and i have never had an issue until recently With this guy jeremy During my last visit the attendant gave me a hard time because my forklift tanks were laying down in my van. He refused to fill them, claiming they were not properly secured. What made this frustrating is that I have a custom-built rack specifically designed to keep the tanks from rolling or moving during transport. The tanks were secure, yet the attendant seemed more interested in arguing than listening or providing good customer service. I've always been treated professionally by other employees, but this experience was completely different. The attendant's attitude was unfriendly, dismissive, and unnecessarily difficult to argue or get any positive feedback from this guy Long-time customers should be treated with respect, especially when they are making an effort to transport equipment safely and responsibly. Very disappointed with the experience and hope management addresses the issue. read more

Nice guy who filled up, didn't know about the 5gallon minimum fill up so I felt swindled.

Amazing customer service. Shout out to Sandro, Jeff and Marivic!! I highly recommend working with this company!

Found them on Yelp and service was great, easy, and fast. Steve helped me out and I'll definitely be returning for my propane services.

Great place to re fill propane. The price is good and they have fast service. Been coming here for years.

It seems like propane dealers are disappearing and being replaced by swap your tank shops. I like my tank, I don't want someone's old, rusty tank. Several of my propane dealers have closed. I did a Google search and Mutual Propane came up with great review. I got super fast, friendly service at a great price. I found my new propane shop. It looks like they can handle anything from the BBQ tank to a fleet of trucks. Great prices too! read more

Ruben was great help. Easy. Fast and cheap. The set up is fast. No issues and very knowledgeable.

I've been coming here for my propane needs for well over 5 years the guys are great and the place is always clean.

I searched high and low looking for a local place to recertify my RV propane tanks. Finally, I came across Mutual Propane. Marcia at the desk confirmed that they do recerts so i ventured out. The kind gentleman at the tank refill dock recerted my tank in 2 minutes. I then had it refilled and off i went in under 5 minutes. Thanks Mutual Propane! read more

Best value locally. Service is quick with no issues. The place is way easier to get to and less crowded that Uhual plus cheaper too.

I was in a bind, looking for a company to purge (and certify) my Motorhome propane tank so I could ship it with Matson...and not having much luck. Fortunately, I found Mutual Propane! José was incredibly helpful...answering every question, arranging the process and making sure it was all completed...while Reuben purged the tank and did the certification. I cannot say enough about how awesome they were. Thanks again. M read more

Great service, great prices..... I drove up and took out my 2 propane BBQ tanks..... a minute or two and $23 later they were both full. Sure beats those "exchange" places where they charge you $30-40 EACH and make you wait for some dude to unlock a cage, etc. At Mutual Propane, I was in and out. Excellent, thanks again and thanks for the 15c/gallon check-in discount! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTORHOME TO THIS BUSINESS FOR PROPANE WORK. I recently was referred to Mutual Propane by my RV Repair Service. I called the Mutual Propane Office and scheduled an appointment with the lady in the office. She advised that I should be there at 7:00AM and that I would likely need to leave my MOTORHOME overnight. I arranged for my wife to follow me to the Mutual Propane location to take me home after dropping my MOTORHOME off at the location. The yard man, Herman, refused service. He said the office personnel are not authorized to make appointments (WHAT?). Both my wife and I were upset at having gotten up early only to be turned away. Herman advised that we should come back the next day at 7:00 AM. Being stupid, I trusted that being turned away was an aberration. We came at 7:00 AM the next day as advised by Herman. Once again, Herman did not service my vehicle. The message was DO NOT BRING YOUR MOTORHOME HERE AS I DO NOT LIKE WORKING ON MOTORHOMES AND I WILL DO ANYTHING I CAN TO GET YOU TO LEAVE SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WORK ON YOUR MOTORHOME. Just for reference, I rarely, if ever, take time to write reviews, let alone negative reviews. In addition to being lectured and yelled at, I was treated rudely and dismissed. If you want this experience then use this business. I will not return and I recommend that you take your business elsewhere. read more

Our forklift ran out of propane and I searched Yelp for a vendor. I came across Mutual Propane and I can not be more happy. The attendant was very professional, and asked us what we needed, and was very quick and thorough. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Forklift is moving trees again. Thanks Mutual Propane. Glad we have a place to go to fill our tank so close to Compton. read more

Awesome service! Great pricing. Can't say enough about the friendly attitude of all the employees I spoke with on the phone and fueling island. This Company deserves 6 stars for Customer Service. They epitomize what all businesses should strive to be. Go there for all your propane needs read more

As you RV owners know, finding a good propane spot can be a bit of a challenge. Yesterday, I found a very convenient spot in Gardena. It is a bit of a drive in some cases, but if you time it right, it is worth your time. I was looking for a spot to fill up my 35' RV and found a decent one in north Torrance. Their price for propane was $2.95/gal, not bad. However, on the internet, I found Mutual Propane in Gardena they had propane for $2.30/gal. Since they are a distributor, its just like buying it at wholesale. They also have a easy in and out set up........A plus for RV's and trailers alike......Got a 40' toy box....not a problem. They also said that if you open a Yelp account and check in when you get there, they will knock off another $0.15. More importantly, the crew working the fill up station was very helpful and friendly. Hope that helps. Jay read more

I called their toll free number with supposedly 24-hour service, trying to just get pricing for exchange or refill of a 20 pound propane tank for a grill, to compare with the price at our local 7-11 store. All they could do is take a message for someone to call me back in the morning. So much for their 24-hour service! If you're going to advertise 24-hour service, someone should be available to simply quote a price! read more

Have been going to Mutual Propane for about a year now. Just want to say that mutual propane hires the nicest people. I've never had anybody be cross or rude, they are just a group of happy guys that seem to enjoy their job. I just had my propane tanks filled up by Herman, he was the so kind. He is very personable and accommodating gentleman. Great job Herman! read more

We are so glad to have made the switch to Mutual Propane! Our provider of almost 15 years was not meeting our expectations so we decided to meet with Ramon from Mutual. He came out to our facility and offered several ideas on how we could update our propane set up for creating a safer environment for our employees. He even conducted a very beneficial Safety Course for our team, as well as draw out a very thorough site plan of our facility. We truly appreciate this above and beyond service and highly recommend meeting with Ramon. Very professional and thorough service read more
