We walked into this place on a rainy Saturday afternoon and there were some very talented people picking a little bluegrass in a corner while we browsed away. The selection of stringed instruments is unlike any that I've seen in a small shop, and they have separate room (which are enchanting) for all sorts of music lessons (not just stringed instruments, but piano, horns, etc). The woman behind the counter was friendly and chatty and although she tried to upsell just about everything, she wasn't pushy about it and seemed to know what she was talking about. This is a great place to go on a lazy afternoon, whether you're a musician or not.

Glen brought it back to life and it still plays like a banjo should to this day. Love it. Now when I buy a new guitar I take it right to Glen to set it up how I like it before I even play it. He has gone thru my guitar collection and thanks to him they all play as they should. I stop in bout twice a month to see him and his wife Barbara and look forward to it always. John Mullen

Rob emphasizes the enjoyment of music as a key aspect of his teaching philosophy. We have studied a breadth of classical music spanning from Bach and Beethoven, Chopin and Schubert, Debussy, Copland, Barber, Ginastera... the list goes on and on. We've also worked on pop music and show tunes, and lessons are sprinkled with theory and music history. My musicality has improved immeasurably under Rob's guidance and I appreciate listening to (as well as playing) music more as a result. I highly recommend Rob for studying piano at all levels, from beginner to advanced. Check him out!

This is a nice music store, and the staff are great, not pushy - just helpful enough to make your own decision. Granted It doesn't have the charm of places that used to exist like the old music box in Fitchburg or Wurlitzer's but it has what you need and when you need it (and it is not guitar center thank god). Surprisingly it is THE place to get a pedal. They have everything you are looking for, other than Strymon and a few others. They probably could use a few less entry level guitars from china and have a few more options on the higher end side, you know something that keeps you coming in and saving your pennies for. Very glad that they give lessons. that only means that there will be more musicians! Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. Music is THE BEST. FZ
