They greet you with a smile and part you with little sweet treats. They play many instruments and teach young and not so young students to do the same. I found "Music Lessons by the J's," on-line when I was looking for a guitar teacher. I called them and made an appointment with Mr. J to get started on my guitar lessons. He is patient and a terrific musician. He plays more instruments that I have fingers to count. I can say that he made guitar lessons easier than what I thought they were. Their studio is conveniently located in their home's basement in 42 Malden St, Worcester, MA. WARNING: If you are not sure what kind of instrument/s to purchase, hold on until you hear their opinion. They also have some nice instruments in their studio, which you can rent and/or purchase. Remember! Purchasing instruments and other music materials from the J's helps to keep lesson cost lower than most other teachers in the area do. This makes them perfect for first time goers and those on budget that want to save some $$ but still receive good quality lessons. Before charging me any money, Gary suggested trying a low-dough remedy which I tried. The issue persisted so I contacted Gary on Christmas Day via email. He got back to me very quickly and was able to accommodate a last second repair just in time for a gig I had. I have had him look at a couple of different things for me from pedals to amps. He actually repaired my '88 Laney for me basically had to rewire it entirely after it melted down. It's sounds great and kept the original tone very pleased. Also their venue is great the room sounds excellent, I was lucky enough to have gotten to play here. They're very hospitable and even better that it's an all ages all are welcome venue, you don't get that much anymore. Places like this are what keeps the music scenes going.
