They greet you with a smile and part you with little sweet treats. They play many instruments and teach young and not so young students to do the same. I found "Music Lessons by the J's," on-line when I was looking for a guitar teacher. I called them and made an appointment with Mr. J to get started on my guitar lessons. He is patient and a terrific musician. He plays more instruments that I have fingers to count. I can say that he made guitar lessons easier than what I thought they were. Their studio is conveniently located in their home's basement in 42 Malden St, Worcester, MA. WARNING: If you are not sure what kind of instrument/s to purchase, hold on until you hear their opinion. They also have some nice instruments in their studio, which you can rent and/or purchase. Remember! Purchasing instruments and other music materials from the J's helps to keep lesson cost lower than most other teachers in the area do. This makes them perfect for first time goers and those on budget that want to save some $$ but still receive good quality lessons. I highly recommend, "Music Lessons by the J's," as a great place to start your music lessons.

I contacted Gary recently regarding an acoustic guitar I had recently purchased. I had fret buzz…read moreup and down the neck that appeared from out of nowhere which I had attributed to the change in seasons. I reached out to Gary after seeing him listed here on Yelp. Before charging me any money, Gary suggested trying a low-dough remedy which I tried. The issue persisted so I contacted Gary on Christmas Day via email. He got back to me very quickly and was able to accommodate a last second repair just in time for a gig I had. Not only that but the expert repair that he performed was done AHEAD of schedule and at a VERY reasonable rate. I definitely recommend Gary for your guitar maintenance and repair needs. He's friendly, trustworthy and knows what he's doing. If you're in the Pepperell, Ashby, Townsend, Lunenburg, Fitchburg, Ashburnham areas, do yourself a favor and give him a try.
