I have a lot to say about the quality of the job. But I'll save the words and show it via the stars I give.

He is very personable, and asked if I had any questions. I mentioned that when I first got the mini-split, I thought I could feel cooler air in the back of the house, even though the mini-split is in the living room, in the front of the house. He showed me how to manipulate the vanes, and set them for me, and while he was doing his tests, I could feel the air flowing in a back bedroom, so that was a real plus for me. He also showed me how I could manipulate the vanes and make changes if I wanted to. So I considered him an excellent service provider. I like that AIS has a maintenance program, which you pay for annually, to get service on both heat and air -- They always contact me when it's time for my prepaid service, which is great, because I would probably forget about it without that reminder. I also appreciate the fact that they text and email to confirm your appointment, and also to let you know when the tech is on his way. This is very helpful...

They asked if it was still under warranty and offered to either replace it themselves or go with the manufacturer's warranty which i did and it saved me alot of money, even though it meant they wouldn't get the job. It is a bummer when your 20 year old HVAC goes out in the middle of winter, but having someone come out and take care of you during a time like that is such a relief. Our Carbon Monoxide detectors starting going off, which really indicated a serious problem. Ed came out and explained the issues with our furnace in detail and gave us options of repair vs replacement and the various replacement options. We elected to go with a hybrid Gas/Electric/Heat Pump system. The quote was fair, I mean this stuff is expensive, but we knew the ball park costs going in and the quote was reasonable. Ed helped us figure out how to make sure we had the right hook-ups, venting location and place in the house for a new air intake port that could work in our 80 year-old house with the least intrusive modifications. Luis and Devon came out to do the work. It was a 2 day process and they were friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. If someone is going to be in your house for 2 days it is always great to have them be nice people, which they were. Cody, the owner, came by each day to check in and answer our questions and make sure we understood how the system worked. When the work was finished, everything was cleaned up and tidy. We could not have had a better experience and been more well taken care of in our time of crisis. We are very satisfied and the work was done 100% to our hopes and expectations

Michael Calvey thoroughly explained all of the options for our house's specific HVAC needs and was very patient with me as I asked a variety of questions. In fact, he made numerous trips to our house to answer the constant flow of questions my wife and I had. Bottom line, we built a solid working relationship with Michael and this gave us the comfort we needed to move forward with our HVAC investment. Calvey Heating and Air's estimate for a new heat pump and furnace at our house was very competitive. I was amazed at how much the pricing varied from vendor to vendor. Michael and the Calvey team made the entire process seamless from start to finish. Michael recommended an electrician who did a great job with our electric panel upgrade and the permit team did a fantastic job working with the city for all of the required paperwork. When it came time for the installation, the lead installer, Servando, and his team took pride in their work for the two day install. Similar to Michael, they were patient with me and answered all my questions during the install. Following the install, the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Team promptly arrived and conducted the necessary testing. Lastly, the permit team met with the city building inspector to successfully get the city sign off on all of the work. Throughout the entire process, Calvey Heating and Air did a great job choreographing and managing all aspects of the installation. I was constantly kept informed and Michael and his team visited our house daily during the installation to ensure all was moving forward properly. Lastly, a final walk-through was conducted by Johnny from Calvey ensuring that the install was 100% perfect. Once my wife and I have had time to work with and get familiar with our new system, Michael indicated he will have his team come by our house and balance out our vents if needed and answer any additional questions we may have. Overall, my wife and I cannot be happier with our decision to have Calvey Heating and Air install our new system. Their service was great from start to finish and there were no hiccups. We highly recommend them. Thank you Michael Calvey!

Michael came out to my house and walked me through the pros and cons of a heat pump HVAC. For my home, the extra money made no sense. I really do not need central AC. We then talked about a new Carrier, high-efficency furnace. That was exactly what I needed. I also opted for the Ecobee Smart, wi-fi enabled thermostat. I am extremely happy with everything. The price was right. The installation was flawless. The post-intall QA walkghrough, by Johnny, went really well. ThenI worked with the folks that checked all the boxes post-intalleation. HERS test was easy with a pass.. Today, we passed the inspection, in under 5 minute. Every person I dealt with was amiable and professiona. The office staff always very nice. Michael Calvey was a joy to talk to. Thank you to Johnny, the project manager, and the folks from HOPSTER that facilitated the post-installation test and inspectioin. From start to finish I met with Michael on February 12th. The 16th the new furnace was intalled. February 17th Johnny did the QA walkthrough. February 18th HOPSTER did their pre-test and inspection walkthrough. The HERS test was done February 23rd. March 5th the city inspection was complete. I will continue to use Calvey for annual maintenance

From the start, the owner took the time to walk through multiple options with me, explaining the pros and cons of each. He was thorough, patient, and ultimately came up with a smart approach that worked well for the layout of the house. The installation crew was excellent. They were professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable about what they were doing. They also took care to keep things tidy and picked up after themselves each day, which I really appreciated. On top of that, the pricing was competitive compared to other quotes I received. Overall, a great experience and I'm very happy with the results. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work.

I went through the automated system by phone and an appt was scheduled the coming Monday - fast. I don't like automated systems and this system was unlike the others for cable, healthcare, etc., this one actually WORKED on every single thing the first time! I usually have negative sentiment towards a company after using their poorly designed automated system, not this one - I had positive sentiment. I got the text confirmation immediately. In the coming days I received the expected and timely reminder, and "heads-up on the way." David showed up in the arrival time window professionally and wore booties over his boots inside our house. David assessed the error code, confirmed the issue, focused on safety and then gave me the bad news. First, it was going to be expensive - an induction motor replacement. Second, though it was going to be expensive, he didn't recommend I hire him. He thought I'd get better (faster, more efficient, happy) service for my brand of furnace by working with an authorized factory service company, given that it was this particular manufacturer. Apparently, if he called in for part availability, it's a job he certainly can do, that's not the issue, the company would be slow to respond to him because he's not an authorized service company for my brand - YET. He is for another brand, just not mine - YET. This would add friction to the process, to the point of not accepting as credible the assessment (we had a code, mind you) of an experienced HVAC pro. He didn't want me to go through this. It wouldn't make me happy and it's possible it would just delay - without heat in winter - the inevitable of having to go the authorized service route in the end anyway. I will say that using Yelp I found an authorized company I liked. (I called two companies, the first one was in town and a mile away and I was not impressed. The next was a couple cities over and I used them.) I was not charged for the diagnosis. THIS IS LONG TERM THINKING AND TRUE, OLD-SCHOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I not only recommend Art of Comfort though I did not have more than the diagnostic piece done, I have saved their number for the future and will share it with friends and neighbors. Our house has two separate furnace / AC systems. I had them installed new in 2006. Something is bound to go wrong after 19 years and I have David and Art of Comfort on speed dial. Thank you David!
