I then met Jeremiah, and he consulted with me first, met my wild, wild hair. I told him I needed something more professional, rather than my wild too-long frizzy hair that looked like I spent an unfortunate night on the beach that I'd soon regret. He started straight away with good wash and cut off about 12". Instead of cutting it in tiny sections, he cut it all at once. I'm not used to that MO, but the results were gorgeous. Perfect cut, blowed dry with a round brush, smoothed with a flat iron. I love it! He's only been at the salon since January 2022, he says, but he certainly has a fan in me! For starters, I have dark, thick, Asian hair, and I went in for a balayage/full highlights to get some light streaks in my hair. Having had my hair bleached at other salons in the past, I know how hard it is to get my hair to lighten while avoiding brassy, orange tones. I called and told them my hair consistency and current condition (which was naturally black), and they booked me with Skylar. I didn't see any reviews of her on Yelp, so to be honest, I was slightly worried at first. I went in for my appointment, and she came out to meet me within ~5 minutes. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and we talked about how this may take a few sessions to lighten and may take a longer time than expected to achieve the results I wanted. She was very understanding of how stubborn my hair could be when going lighter. She ended up taking four and a half hours (!!) to work on my hair - everything from splitting and foiling to washing and toning. We had lots of time to talk about life, education, family, and we bonded over our love of food and traveling. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with Skylar and felt comfortable with my hair in her hands (literally!). The result was absolutely stunning! My hair was exactly what I wanted and something other hairdressers could not achieve in my previous experiences! So she deserves 5+ stars! If you want a balayage/highlights, I highly recommend asking for Skylar. You'll be surprised how young yet TALENTED she is! :) Thank you, Skylar & Muse! PS - I'm sure this was annoying for them in reality, but they seemed very understanding about me calling to reschedule my appointment a couple times! (Sorry about that!) Also, there is a parking lot in front of the salon, but there are only ~5 spots designated for the salon. The rest of the spots seemed to be for short-term parking (but please correct me if I'm wrong here). A friend of mine had an appointment scheduled here. He's handicapped. He needs handicapped parking available. Upon calling and requesting this to be available for his appointment the next day, because the owner of the establishment parked there, he was informed that his appointment was canceled and no longer allowed to return. As people we are expecting businesses to be accessible to our needs, especially for the handicapped. This had left a sour taste for him and he's devastated at the type of treatment he received. The owner should be accountable for this and this is not the way you run business. He then booked an appointment at the Boardroom where he was catered to hand and foot. I would not recommend Muse Salon when you treat people this way. read more

It took a good 4.5 hours but it's always a fun time :) * I've been seeing her for a couple of years now and she never disappoints. She hits all my blonde hair goals AND keeps the integrity of my hair safe. For me, that's always my biggest concern when having my hair colored. I have stubborn dark Asian hair so to accomplish this and check off all my other worries is a miracle come true. We all know how hard it is to find THE hairdresser so I'm glad I found mine! * The salon is also very accommodating! Aside from the beverage you're offered when you arrive, it was so nice to have a soft plush blanket available to me to stay warm during my long visit --I get cold very easily and those coverups don't provide much warmth! He is very nice, but didn't listen to what I asked for, took off nearly twice what we discussed, cut off my sideburns after I told him they were my "trademark", leaving me with sadly, the worst haircut I have had in over a decade. Since I have moved Dallas, finding a hair salon that I like that isn't insanely expensive and I can actually get an appointment that fits my schedule has been a challenge. The search is over now that I have found Jeremiah at Muse. At my appointment he expertly highlighted and cut my hair. I was nervous to have someone new but he exceeded my expectations and made small adjustments to my color that complimented my skin and really made it glow it together. Jeremiah has completely brought my hair back to life over the last few years through keratin treatments, product recommendations, and trims. I'm not going to say names on here but I am very disappointed with muse the salon. I went in for a root retouch on platinum blonde hair and walked out spending over $200 and still had roots. I told the stylist what I wanted and the stylist kept telling me I needed hilites. I told my stylist if we do that I'll still have roots. Well I'll be damned, I was right. I paid the salon with the promise I would be brought back in within a day or two and I could get it fixed. I called the salon and the stylist personally to get my hair redone and then I got blown off. Needless to say I wasted my money and my hair looks like shit. Looks like it was never done. I called to make an appointment with someone that was available that actually knew how to trim bangs. I was booked with Savy and he was super nice. He properly cut my bangs to the perfect length and told me a bang trim is no charge! Since he did a good job, I decide to go back for a cut with him as well and he nailed it. He told me how much he was going to trim off (due to dead ends) and did an excellent job! My hair was SO soft when I left! I have discovered that not all salons are the same, even though they may charge similar (or higher) prices. Muse is on point. I recommend Savy! Todd gave me the worst haircut of my life. Started with medium/long hair & asked him to cut my hair to just below the shoulders and he cut my hair to my CHIN. My hair was completely uneven, the left side was longer than the right. I told him I wanted the front pieces of my hair to be longer than the back, and he did the opposite. He cut the front pieces shorter than the back. I had two layers: one at my chin & one up to my EARS, like a weird chop. I looked like Willy Wonka. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO TODD. It look a year and a half to grow my layers back out even. This is the only picture I took when I had the haircut he gave. I was so mortified I never wanted my pic taken. This is with my hair STRAIGHTENED & my head was tilted to the side to make my hair appear longer. I've followed Mina around to different salons for years now, and of her locations I have liked Muse the best. She has always provided the best services and now she is at a location that matches that. Muse is a very laid back, inviting business that provides all the unnecessary, necessities for a proper cut and style: free wifi, lay down sinks for shampoo, and even free wine/beer should it tickle your fancy. Clean and well-lit stations so your hair always looks on point after getting your hair did. It's also in a great location to get a bite to eat at next door Gemma or Lower Greenville. Mina always gives me exactly what I want; whether that may be an old reliable hair cut, or a trendy do that kids are into nowadays. Show her some pictures of what you like or explain it to her, and she'll meet your needs. She also has done color and styles for my female friends, without any complaints. For dudes, she even used clippers now if you want a good fade. Most upscale places will only use sheers which has never quite cut it for me, IMO.... pun definitely intended. Go see Mina.
