This place is awesome and I'm so excited to have a paint bar closer to where I live!! I went last night for their grand opening party and the entire staff was AWESOME. The bartenders were super nice - GREAT selection at the bar, and I was VERY impressed with the menu. The menu had a bunch of selections from small plates to entrees and desserts, and denotes what is Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free - and there are options for EACH of these under every section. HUGE plus there. The staff was super friendly, painting was a blast and it was SO much fun to do. Even the very NOT artistic painters found themselves with MASTERPIECES! It is a HUGE space, but you don't feel cramped at all. There are tons of sample paintings to look at and see what you want to keep an eye out for on the schedule. Our group of 20+ was nestled in a nice private room (conveniently located next to the bar!). The Muse team were accommodating in rearranging a few tables to allow for the display of our cater reception foods. The paint area space was a bit snug. You were careful when walking around as to not bump someone or something and get paint all over (but its a paintbar, right? I guess I should expect that). The bar carried a small, but good selection of wines served in clear plastic cups, and beers from the bottle. I did see they also had a few bites as well. Overall our team had a wonderful time painting the night away and I could see us doing this again soon! read more

I decided on a Wednesday night peacock wine glass night with my mother. Allison taught on stage and was assisted by Adhem and Caroline. My mom and I had both eaten before so we stuck to splitting mozzarella sticks and each had a glass of wine. Even though the class was full, the line at the bar went by fast and the food was delivered quickly. Allison spoke clearly, and repeated each step to painting the glass twice. Once on a canvas and another on an actual glass. The glass design was tricky but I consider myself to be gifted artistically enough so that I'm not a novice so it wasn't hard as much as it was tedious. In total, we painted two wine glasses in three hours (think about all the individual little hairs on a feather....all with a tiny brush!). The wine was reasonably priced and delicious, the cheese sticks were good. Allison walked around after large steps to see how people were doing and help. The assistants both helped when you were stuck on a step or couldn't hear it. The room was lively with past paintings hung up and had upbeat music playing the whole class. This is the perfect activity for a girls night or bonding time with someone you love because it's not only fun, but you learn something and end up leaving with a complete 100% original to display or (in my case) use. Been here about half a dozen times. Very nice location with free garage parking. The staff is always well organized and your paint area is set up when you arrive. You do receive a apron but if you are sloppy like me, you might want to wear something that you can get messy. They do have acrylic paint remover so chances are it won't ruin your attire. If you just want a snack-the food is standard bar food (mozzarella sticks, etc.). They also have alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages at a decent price. Anyhow, I don't have natural talent for painting but with the instruction of the artists, I have been able to create some decent work that I am not ashamed to hang on the wall. Many of their classes fill up fast so don't wait to try and book. I recommend booking via their website. After you book using their website, you will receive monthly discounts (2 for 1 or 20% off) to your email address. I've been here for ladies night and recently had my daughter's birthday party at the Mosaic location. It was fantastic. The artist who was helping with our party (Katie) had a positive attitude and interacted so well with the girls. She was funny, helpful and patient. The girls had a great time and the paintings turned out really nice. In addition, their party coordinator (whom you deal with over email only) was very responsive and knowledgeable. Love it love it! I did not expect it to be as much fun as it was. I'm not a good painter by any means but this place makes you look like you are. I love how the instructor is on stage in front of the class explaining and showing everyone step by step on how to create the painting. Plus there's another person walking around answering any questions you may have. I went with a friend and my teenage daughter and we all had a fabulous time, It's great for all ages. This was a nice detour to what I'm using to doing which is primarily drinking and eating heavily. Definitely a date night, group spot. The place is really cool, with a huge painted van gogh-est painting on the exposed brick wall. The bar is conveniently located between the two different rooms, the staff quite friendly, helpful, and laid back. The painting itself was fun and our instructor guided us through the process while being funny and personable. Of course it always helps to be drinking and eating at the same time, though I noticed towards the end of the session, people were a bit rowdier and inattentive due to alcohol consumption; never a bad thing. My only gripe was that it session was a bit longer than I expected and the work area can be a bit tight of a squeeze. read more

I have wanted to do a paint night event for so long and finally had the chance to attend! You don't have to have any painting experience, the instructor will guide you through the whole painting and there are helpers walking around to provide tips or feedback (or to fix painting because you really screwed up, NOT THAT I KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT!). Plus, you get to drink! The studio opens about half an hour before class starts so that you can get a drink and a bite to eat and familiarize yourself with the studio. There are hooks to put your belongings so that you don't get paint on them, I highly recommend you take advantage of them! Prices seemed reasonable for food and drinks and the pours were generous. I had the red sangria, which was tasty, but was not quite what I was expecting. It was poured directly from a bottle and didn't have fruit in it, but it was still very good! To eat, I had the french bread pizza, which surprisingly came with chips. When it's time to start class, the instructor will provide a little intro to point out paint stations, sinks, and bathrooms around the classroom, as well as summarize the brushes you'll be using and how to take care of them. Total painting time took about two and half hours, which went by so quickly! I was honestly surprised that I came out with a decent painting. Our instructor was really helpful and walked around to each table to demonstrate techniques up close, super helpful if you're standing in the back. Everyone was really fun to talk to! I would totally come back to Muse Paintbar, it's a great place to have an event with friends or coworkers that isn't *just* a bar read more

Marta (Painting Instructor) was the rudest person ever. Walked in (first time) and went to the counter, as it was chaos, and she basically yelled at us and said to be patient and wait. We had not said a word, just standing in line at the counter waiting. Ironically, her coworker said that wasn't the first time that had happened and apologized on her behalf and gave us a free drink. Cool place but management needs to teach Marta some customer service skills regardless of her painting talent. Those are the types of things that people remember about places. read more

Went for a friends birthday celebration and had a great time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had Pinot Grigio with the cheese plate. It's just kinda hard to drink and eat while painting, because the person leading the session goes way too fast resulting in a rushed masterpiece. However I am not an artist under any circumstances and am pleased with how mine came out...the step by step instructions definitely help but I just wish it was slower and clearer. Also it's pretty hard to find. Almost everyone in our group had difficulty. It is pretty cramped moving around too (alot of people for the space). read more

Attended a paint your pet night and was a bit disappointed in comparison to other similar paint businesses. First, I had sent in my pets pic, and instead of printing them out for the painters, you had to use your phone. In another situation, I had a nice 5X7 color pic to use which was much easier. Mostly, I was disappointed with the directions. They have one person, head painter, I will say, then several helpers on the floor. However, I got mixed directions from different helpers which made me more confused. At one point, instead of taking the time to instruct me one of the helpers just did the painting for me. She asked, but it was awkward to say no. I was disappointed in my painting, and never did a background. One of the helpers did offer for me to take paint home, and gave some in containers which was nice. But other places offer an opportunity to return to finish. Second try with Muse Paint bars, but I won't try for a third. read more

Been to this paint bar a couple times and was looking forward to a mother daughter trip. Made the mistake of not writing the date on my calendar and missed the appointment. I know it was completely my fault, but so dissatisfied with Muse to not work with me to give my daughter and me another date that maybe isn't full to come to, or even a little incentive discount to come another time. I will probably not come back for awhile, just left a very sour taste in my mouth. Their "no show" policy needs to be changed. A simple discount for future visit would have made me less bitter. read more

I went for the first time yesterday with a handful of my friends. It was the perfect thing to do on a drizzly day. Plenty of parking in the surrounding lots, a neat location and they played great music! My friends had the hummus plate and said it was very good. Everything for painting was provided and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish the table tops had just a little more room on them & perhaps offered one drink with purchase. The reason I gave 4 stars was due to a scheduling situation. A group of grade schoolers wrapped up a private party about half way through our session & it was very disruptive to our table located adjacent to the private room for a good chunk of our time. I felt like I was trapped in the middle of a school the last day before summer vacation and everyone was hyped up on sugar. Parents weren't very self-aware and continued to carryon conversations all around us which meant I could not hear our instructor. It was pretty frustrating at times. Recommend scheduling parties in line with regular sessions or having a separate entry/exit for the private party. Overall a fun time. read more

I just went to Muse Paintbar last night as a ladies night with a group of 4 friends. It's in a really cute little venue, and parking in one of the many parking garages at Mosaic was convenient. They have your group's workspace set up for you before you get there. And the first few minutes are spent getting your drinks and chatting with your group. Then the host gets up on the stage and begins walking you through the most basic steps of mixing the paint colors to get the right shades, and breaking it down into simple tasks - e.g. draw a horizontal line. They do a great job and make sure you have an enjoyable time and even walk out with a respectable painting - and I have zero painting ability. The host painter/instructor is entertaining and helpful. The wait staff does a great job on everything from helping you out if you have any questions on the technique, to keeping your drinks coming. I may have gone in with low expectations, but they actually have a decent selection of wines and beers, and regular snack food items that include GF and V options, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. This was a fun way to have a ladies night besides the usual dinner. You definitely need to give this a try if you want to break out of the typical evening out routine. read more

When I compare the paint class to others I've attended at other locations, I felt that like this was a very basic class where you just get instructions on what to do next, but not an enriching lesson where you learn the why or the technique. I have been to Muse Paintbar 3 times. I really enjoyed the experience every time. I had never painted before, and I was a bit anxious about making a disaster painting. I felt supported by the instructor, Caroline, who taught each of my classes. She added humor and was very kind, to beginners, step by step guiding us through the paintings. I really felt my anxiety go down and my confidence build up, which is why I signed up for the subsequent sessions. I have brought a different friend each time, each of whom enjoyed the experience as much as I did. It is a really fun place to take friends to do something different.
