Located corner of strip mall

FULL DISCLOSURE, I wasn't blown away by the food. It was tasty enough, and shockingly affordable, considering it's healthiness, but it just wasn't anything that made me stand up and take notice. Also, they packed my warm wrap in a tupperware with my cold Caesar salad, which caused the salad to wilt and get wet. I went with the Rocky Balboa wrap, (Grilled chicken breast, turkey meatballs, part skim mozzarella and marinara in an herb wrap), which was just ok. I feel like it should've been meatballs OR chicken breast, as they kind of canceled each other out somehow. My wife got the Godfather, (Grilled chicken breast, portabella mushrooms, red roasted peppers, part skim mozzarella, gluten- and fat-free balsamic vinaigrette, served over broccoli), which looked amazing, and got better reviews from the misses. BUT, where Muscle Maker earns a star is their customer service. We had a code for $25 off at MMG, but when we got there, there was some kind of snafu with the code, and creating an account, etc, etc, and the young lady at the counter not only apologized for a situation that she didn't cause and did nothing wrong in, but she comped the food for us. It's a breath of fresh air in this dog eat dog, squeeze every dollar from the consumer, price gouging, recession-y times we are in. I will 100% be returning, and make sure I make a big order to balance the universe. I can't speak to the building interior, (wife ran in to get the food,) but the outside wasn't over impressive; it's in a very unassuming strip mall on Rt 42. The menu is pretty large, and things are priced below what you'd expect to pay for healthier food. Actually, you'd pay more for unhealthier food. They have an under 400 calorie entree section that is all $6.99. That's unheard of. Like I said, I'll be back, and even if they are just slightly more healthy, and slightly less expensive, with still good taste, it's a no brainer to go here more often. With the Misses and I trying to eat better when we DO eat out, I totally see MMG being a go to spot. Thanks again for the customer service too. Highly recommend.

Arizona Bowl

Recently I've started to search for some healthy but tasty food options in the Washington TWP area. I've passed by Muscle Maker Grill hundreds of times but never got chance to try it. I ordered the Arizona bowl and the turkey meatballs. The first thing I noticed was how much chicken I got. The flavor was really tasty, but hard the describe. The bowl was very filling and the chicken was cooked perfectly. However, the turkey meatballs were disappointing. They were quite flavorless and a bit mushy. Definitely will be back to try their other healthy options!

Italiano salad

I ordered the italiano salad with steak. First time I've ever had it and it is seriously amazing. I was so skeptical about the dressing since I've never had it but it really is great! I also ordered a side of the cucumber salad because it's one of my favorites!

A great place with a couple if tables outside.

This place is great! The food is tasty and my favorite seems to be the Yee-haw wrap. It's definitely on the pricey side but it's worth it. I think the only problem I have with the place is a few times I've ordered (and we usually eat here once a week) they are out of certain items and it's kind if disappointing.

The signature wrap with cucumber salad. It was so good that I didn't want to put it down to take a picture until I was halfway through.

I looked at the pictures online and loved the outdoor ambiance with the string lights and expected the food to provide that same level of excitement as they claim to be authentic Italian cuisine. Since this was a private event the appetizers and desserts were family style while your main dish was your own entree. The bruschetta was great! The right amount of tomato and olive oil without making the bread soggy which is a hard feat on its own. The calamari was made from frozen to my dismay, you can tell by the breading and the fact that there were no tentacles. I opted for the bolognese pappardelle. I was expecting thick wide and long noodles but they were thin and overcooked so almost mushy. Additionally the sauce had no flavor, it honestly tasted similar to chef boyardee that I had when I was a kid. My husband got the salmon and it was perfectly cooked, moist, and the caper lemon sauce really enhanced the flavor. The servers also seemed a bit frazzled with such a large party but after a bit they found their rhythm. Overall, this restaurant really missed the mark on some dishes which is why I am only giving 2 stars.

We went just for a few appetizers but always look forward to the bread basket, the roasted peppers and sharp provolone and roasted garlic. Unfortunately, our experience at the new location was very different. The service was just okay, and there was inconsistent pricing between what was listed on the menu and what we were ultimately charged. I ordered the chicken parm and was charged an additional $7 for a sauce substitution that was never mentioned when I placed my order. For example, if you order the gnocchi, you're given a choice of three sauces, one of which is the Rosa sauce. The portion of gnocchi is the same regardless of which sauce you choose, so I was surprised to see an additional charge for a sauce substitution without being told about it upfront. I was also charged $7 for a small cappuccino, which I found to be quite expensive. I appreciate transparency in my dining experiences, especially when I make a point to support small, local businesses. If there's an additional charge, customers should be told upfront. The pricing for dining here leans more expensive for what I would consider a mediocre dining experience. It's disappointing because we've always enjoyed Scarpinato's, but based on this experience, we will not be back. I'd encourage you to consider other dining options when deciding where to spend your money.

I love that dinner comes with soup, salad and that delicious garlic bread that's impossible to stop eating. My daughter raved over her minestrone soup. The first visit I had delicious creamy Italian chicken soup. I'd order extra just to take home. Appetizers of crostini topped with burrata and prosciutto were very good. Simple and tasty. Maybe next time I would ask for a drizzle of balsamic over everything. The husband inhaled his meatball sub and complimented the crispy and light rolls. Meatballs got rave reviews as well as the baked pasta. I tried the chicken cutlet with bruschetta and burrata. It was served on top of spinach and a side of pasta. Dessert of a dark chocolate cake was dense and sweet. Portions are huge. Really good service. Enjoyed this experience and felt our money was well spent.

This is the place to go nowadays to get bang for buck. With every meal, you'll get the best ever garlic bread (ask for more, they'll happily bring seconds); that creamy Italian soup is to die for - gimma a gallon; and a small spring salad with your choice of the usual dressing. For our appetizer, we split one that was a toasted crostini with a slab of creamy burrata and a generous sliver of prosciutto. It could have used a drizzling of balsamic vinegar but it was delicious. Came with 3 pieces. By the time my actual main entree arrived, I was fully stuffed. My evil plan worked! Load up on the freebies and appetizers, take a few bites of the main, and have a huge batch of leftovers. With a diet coke and tip, this was $42 and easily can be split into two very generous meals.

Patio dining is where it's at!…read more We visited Filomena's Lakeview with another couple on a Wednesday evening. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????
