At the facility, Laurie S. was instrumental in helping us pick out the right product and getting us squared away. We were given an installation date and notified by phone the day prior to installation confirming the start time. Mike, the installer, was great. After removing the old carpeting downstairs, it was discovered that there were old tiles between the padding and the cement floor, which turned out to be a major disruption in the process. Mike offered instruction on the proper removal and disposal of the tile and went to work once that had been completed. I wondered why he was working solo and he explained that his assistant had called out sick that day. It was a big job, but he handled it expertly and also made quick work of the upstairs hallway carpet removal and installation. Hopefully Tile & Carpet Town provides monetary rewards for good reviews - it's been earned in this case. :)

OMG! What a surprisingly wonderful experience I had with this company. I had a small bathroom…read moretiling job that I needed done, with quality workmanship and without getting gauged. Of course, I started with the big box stores to nail down what would be a ridiculous price. Coming up short on so many other potential contractors, I mistakenly searched the web using this company's name--thinking it was another that I had been in contact with. I was impressed by CNY Flooring's online customer photos and testimonials, and afterward the willingness of the owner to arrange a free estimate, then finally and most of all the excellent pricing. I purchased my own tile elsewhere, and used CNY Flooring for the installation only. The owner Sid and his assistant did such awesome work and clean-up after that I'm now considering having more flooring work where I hadn't even thought of it before. I will provide an update and photos when the last piece is installed. But, I can tell you already that if you're looking for quality, timeliness, professionalism, and reasonable pricing, look no further. CNY Flooring is one of the best that I've encountered in 20 years here in Syracuse, and more than a half dozen tile flooring contractors in my home over the years. Can't say enough wonderful things about them. Read less

Jamie did a GREAT job remodeling my basement. His framing, drywall, and finishing were fantastic…read more Whenever there was a question about a detail he wasn't sure how I wanted, he always asked. He was absolutely reliable and considerate. A genuinely nice guy that I trusted. A couple months after my basement was done, I woke up to some shingles blown off my roof. Not knowing who else to call, I called jamie and he came over immediately and spent the afternoon up there fixing about a third of my roof. So grateful.

He proceeded to charge ~$2300 for leak repairs, excluding drywall, which included replacing ~1.5 ft PVC fittings and pretty minimal copper fixes (which he had to bring in another plumber to fix). When I asked for itemized receipt I was given one that didn't include all payments so he had to spend a half an hour making a new receipt fudging numbers to make up the full cost of what he charged me. Actual itemized receipt is incredibly vague and now home warranty company is refusing to pay because what he charged is simply unreasonable. I recommend going with a more experienced contractor. If I had the time I could have fixed what they did for less than $300.

This is a bargain/liquidation store that sells a ton of stuff that includes:…read more -Flooring (from rugs that can cover your entire house to runners, circle rugs, carpet, peel and stick tiles, pick and choose carpet tiles, laminate, wood, you name it!) -Pet supplies (bed, food, toys, I got a bunch of kitty snacks for 99 cents a piece) -House repair items (paint, tools) -Bathroom stuff (towels, toiletries) -Books (book section's huge, takes up at least 1/5 of the store) -Furniture (futon, bed, chairs, lawn furniture, desk) -Clothes (jeggings, socks, underwear, jeans) -Boots, house slipers (I got some Dearfoams for $4.99) -Gardening stuff (pots, decoration, bird feeders) -Kitchen supplies (I got 4 tart pans for $5.99) -Toiletries (soap, shampoo) -Batteries -Snacks and foods (K-Cups, PopTarts, cereals, teas, saw some Christmas ornament teas even though it's August) They also have a rewards card. They also sell gift cards. The minus a star is because some of the stuff doesn't seem to be that much of a bargain or that much of a discount. The bright orange sticker kind of makes you think you're getting everything for cheaper but more than 50% of the stuff I found to be regular priced or comparable to other grocery stores (ex: the towels were about the same price as you'd get them at places like Target, TJ Maxx, Ross). Nevertheless, this place was really fun to shop in. There is a ton to look at.
