Excellent work. They delivered on what they said they were going to do. We had damage to part of our hardwood floor and now you can't notice. It blends in and on top of that our floor looks brand new.

Our experience with Hoxie's Painting was a nightmare…read more Everything seemed great at first, then everything went downhill fast as the project neared "completion". The only thing that seemed important was for the foreman to be "done" and to have his payment, and he was relentless about getting out of there. After a couple walkarounds having to point out glaringly obvious issues, we gave in and wrote a check. Later that day we realized the interior of our porch was not painted - this had been discussed multiple times and was part of the contract. Seeing this, we canceled the check because the contract had not been respected. Two calls and texts to Hoxie's to let them know of this issue with no response. Despite this notice and outreach, the company still tried to deposit our check. In the meantime, we realized the full scope of disregard for us as customers. In addition to the unpainted porch (which I ended up painting myself), most of the house appears to have a single coat of paint on it with poor coverage - not the contractually agreed-upon 2 coats we paid for. Damage in the form of excessive paint smears and drips on brick facade. Everywhere we look, there is a complete lack of commitment to quality. As a professional painter, the foreman 100% had to know this was the case, and we realized that we had been taken for a ride. Instead of contacting me, Hoxie's enlisted the same foreman who had cheated us to fix the problem. If the owner had ever responded, we would have been clear that this person was not welcome back. He first called my wife who could not speak at the time, then showed up unannounced and uninvited the next morning. By the end of the day, we had ignored 13 phone calls - calling, calling repeatedly. Extremely unprofessional. As this was happening, I left a voicemail and sent the owner a text saying this was not ok, please leave our house, and call me back immediately. When the owner responded 7 hours later, I let him know that we were now done with Hoxie's Painting and would not welcome the company back to complete the job. We would pay for what had been done, but would not pay for what had not been done. The owner offered to discount about 8% from the original fee, and I proposed to pay approximately 33% less than the original fee - based on my feeling that about 2/3 of the project had been completed. The owner agreed to my figure and I sent a text summarizing our conversation asking him to respond in agreement before I would send payment. He responded that night by threatening to sue me for nonpayment plus legal fees. To be fair, I invited the owner over to look at the house because he had not seen the issues in person. We had an honest conversation as I showed him the issues, incomplete work, and damage. He offered again to send somebody over to fix the issues, and I told him we were not open to that option. The owner said it would take a single painter "a few hours" to fix everything. I completely disagree with that assessment - for starters we feel the house needs another full coat of paint. The owner would not budge from his 8% reduction and implied that I was in the wrong because we refused to allow the company back to our home. In my view, it's a privilege to have paying customers. And when we are misled, subjected to unprofessional behavior, and threatened legally, a company loses that privilege because we no longer trust that we will be treated with respect. In the end, we paid the owner his requested fee in exchange for a receipt indicating we had paid in full - making it clear that we were very unhappy. We likely lost a significant amount of money and will have to hire somebody to complete the work next year. At the end of the day, the legal threats, stress and headaches were simply not worth the trouble and we paid to make it go away. That's our experience.

I gave this young man a chance, I trusted him, but he took advantage that I was an out of town owner. When I came to town to inspect his work, I noted he did not follow our contracted agreement. He charged me for work he did not do, but lied about doing it. I gave him chances to fix what was not done and he always said he would take care of it. But he never did. Very unprofessional, He would not answer my calls or return calls. His workmanship is very poor. The attached photo shows what a lousy job he did.

I will never recommend Bath Fitter to anyone. I was a hopeful customer who scheduled a…read moreconsultation, who had prior knowledge of the company stressing 1 day installs (consultation was on a Friday). Looked for updating my duplex tub/ shower combo. The salesman was a smooth talker who looks to pull the wool over your eyes. The salesman stood with me in the bathroom asked me how much I would think the job would cost of replacing my tub, shower walls, and shower faucet. I provided him a general idea of $4,000-$5,000. He responded with the figure of $7,500 just by looking at the area. He goes don't worry we offer 0% financing over 60 months if approved. He also stressed once again their 1 day install, and how they warranty all of their work all the way down to the studs behind the walls, including lifelong 100% coverage of anything broke, and it is transferable between owners. We then sit down and he pulls out his book of what they offer for features. We go through and select what we would like, and there was an upgrade to black accents which he said he would wave the up charge. He then puts the figures together and quoted us $9,600, but if we signed today he would take off $1,200 thus our total would be $8,400. He then steps outside to later return and answers all questions. First question was how long after saying yes can I cancel he indicated 3 days. Second question was with the financing is it a soft inquire or hard inquire, he advises it is a soft inquire just to see if preapproved. Third question who is financing through he indicated Wells Fargo. His tablet wouldn't work so had to call into the main office to have to run the soft inquire which was approved for a balance of $10,000. Tentatively agree to the deal knowing it was a pre approval running, and was guaranteed it would not show up on my credit. The next day I contact a local contractor who quotes me three separate options for the shower all which are drastically lower $3,000 or more. Contractor indicated he would not be able to do the job in a day however more like 2-3 days. I explained to local contractor what Bath Fitters quoted me and he stated he will never use them or recommend them himself. Local contractor went on to explain that he owns several rental units and bought one that had a bath fitters product installed that was leaking, and when contacting them they said they wouldn't fix it without payment, he needed up paying $350 for them to fix it. On the following Monday I contact Bath Fitters and cancel the transaction requesting no work to be completed by them. They confirm this and close the job. A week following this I receive an email from Wells Fargo indicating I have an account opened in my name sourced from Bath Fitters with a balance of $10,000. Which showed up on my credit score also, none of the less. Immediately contact Wells Fargo and dispute it, very good customer service on their part. I then contact Bath Fitters and ask how an account is tied to them with a $10,000 balance is now open. I was told well it should've been closed when we closed the job out, I'll contact them and have it closed with no balance. I then ask the female how and why an account was even opened in my name if it was a "soft inquiry" I was told well it wasn't a soft inquiry. Between the over pricing, misinformation, and lack of communication by this company I do not recommend them and stress using local businesses instead of them. They talk up a smooth game, number & make it sound like it's an amazing company, but instead completely take advantage of customers!!
